After a brief Marsala POV, we go straight back to Curry and Chansey. From that first chapter though from Mansala, we learn more about her, and what her plans are that are no doubt going to be one of the main conflicts that occur in the story. Now, back to Curry and Chansey. With them, the story really begins where it left off from Book 1. The story was good here, and I felt there was the right amount of conflict and bliss. The love between Curry and Chansey is forever stronger, and when they fin ...more

I'm so excited for you to read the 2nd installment in The Vampire Agápe Series. I feel like I really stepped it up for Blood Jewel. Curry and Chansey had a very timid and sweet romance in Blood of Anteros, but things definitely get heated for them in Blood Jewel. Questions left unanswered in BOA get answered in BJ, but I intentionally left some cliff hangers for you to think about until Blood Doll is published. I absolutely adore the beautiful love between Curry and Chansey and I hope you do, to ...more
OMG!!! love it!!!!! but still what is a blood jewel???? you can not just say it and not tell us!!! so not cool!!! the wedding when you fine love there is no end to it.. and the baby's!!! awwwwwww... on hold in tell 1/2013!!!! so not cool... looking to reading the next book !!!!!! Blood Doll, the vampire agape book 3!!!!
Amazing! Way better then the 1st one!!
First off, I must compliment the cover of "Blood Jewel." It is one of the best designs I've seen. The colors and hues are beautiful. The placement of the model in the photo in combination with the text of the title, subtitle, and author's name is asymmetrically balanced and laid out across the page very well.

"Blood Jewel" is Book 2 in Georgia Cates' Vampire Agape Series. I've reviewed Book 1, Blood of Anteros, as well.

WHAT?!?! How could Georgia Cates leave us on such a cliffhanger!?!?!?!

I am going to try and calm myself because I just finished this book and I am still dealing with all that has happened! Curry and Chansey's lives are in full swing. However, Marsala is hot on their heels! That chick is never going to let Curry (and I can understand why. Hot Vampires are hard to come by).

Now Curry has to deal with turning Chansey. But, can he do it? Marsala is determin

Incredible, riveting, completely consuming...the list goes on and on!
I was anxious to see where things picked up after Blood of Anteros, but had no idea the mind-blowing rollarcoaster I was getting on.
Blood Jewel immediately picks up where book one ends and never lags, drags or disappoints.
Curry & Chansey enjoy blissful wedding planning and celebrate her 22nd birthday. A shocking frightening encounter from his past cuts the celebration short & shift their plans for their future. They s

This is the second installment to the Vampire Agape series. Let me just say that it was a great follow-up to the first, Blood of Anteros. It still leaves me with questions as to what a Blood Jewel is but that only makes me anxiously await the third installment.

Curry and Chansey further their bond as Vampire and Agape. The life they once owned separately is now shared together in marriage, not such an easy task when a Vampire named Marsala refuses to relinquish her passion of getting Curry back a
After such a great start to the series I was disappointed that this book fell flat and the climax ended abruptly. I found myself racing to read it just to finish not because I was eager to find out what happens next. Like I said, disappointing.

It wasn't as good as the first one but still a good read. I found it to be a little predictable but I would still recommend it. Cant wait for the third book to be released next year.

'Blood Jewel' is the second book in the Vampire Agape series. It focuses on Curry (a vampire) and Chansey (his Agape), who are destined to be together. It picks up easily where the first book in the series left off and weaves a tale of action, adventure, and romance. I really enjoyed the first book in the series, and I loved this book just as much. I liked the darker aspects that came into play with this novel - the dark magic, vampire cults, witches, etc. I thought it gave the series a deeper a ...more

I was a little late in reading book 2 of the series, and was so bummed out about it. But I have to say, great things come to those who wait.

Lets start with the cover shall we. A young lady with a tiara and a beautiful white gown looking at me. An iron gate set in the background. Where does it lead? Is it symbolic? I can tell the young lady has a story to be told, but what could it be? I am beyond ready to find out.

This time you get just a little taste of who Marsala is from her past. I wanted so

A Huge thank you to AToMR tours for allowing me to be on the Vampire Agape Series Tour. This series gets better and better with each new book. I just can't get enough. The love and the struggles that Chancey and Curry have to face only makes them stronger. The saying what don't break you, makes you defiantly applies here. The one thing I love about Georgia Cates is that she keeps you guessing the entire time and Blood Jewel is told from Curry's POV and we get to see things differently.

As I said in the previous review, the first book left us with many questions about what happens next. So, I was really happy when I received the second one, and I started reading it immediately.

This book takes us not far from the first one. Chansey and Curry are still living at the compound and they try to figure out their next move and especially how they are going to explain Chansey's grandparents the news about their engagement. The book, in general, doesn't have too much act
I liked the first book in The Vampire Agápe series, and I looked forward to reading the continuing adventures of Curry and Chansey. I didn’t enjoy Blood Jewel as much as Blood of Anteros: I feel like there could have been a little more character development but liked the extension of the world and the introduction of some cool new characters.

It would be almost impossible for me to review this book without mentioning the Twilight saga – because it disturbingly follows the plot line of the first h

I really enjoy Georgia Cates' writing style, so I was excited to read this series. I've been pretty picky about paranormals lately, but I really enjoyed this new perspective on vampires living in the south. This is the second book in the series and I enjoyed it even more than the first.

I really enjoyed seeing more of Chansey's personality in this book. In the first book, I felt like I didn't really know her well. In this book, Chansey is portrayed as a confident, assertive woman, who knows how

Wow, it's Twilight with the fat trimmed! Georgia Cates was able to do in 2 books what Stephanie did in 4! Bahaha! But in all seriousness, I did enjoy this series. Even though it was pure mush and predictable, it was also sweet to just happily, and guiltily enjoy in the comfort of your own home. In bed. With the blinds closed. And the lights off. And, if possible, under the covers.

I did really like the background of this story. The mythology was original in a sense that it hasn't been done befor

Chansey and Curry are beginning their life together as a married couple. Their bond is stronger than ever and they are very happy. They are able to connect with his vampire family and life seems to be going well.

Unfortunately Marsalla is not ready to be forgotten. She finds a way to interrupt their happily married bliss. She is determined that she will be the one that Curry spends his eternity with. She is his maker and not very happy that their bond was broken.

Blood Jewel, the second installment in The Vampire Agape Series, picks up where Blood of Anteros left off. Curry and Chansey have gone to New Orleans to the compound there for Chansey's safety. Curry has proposed to Chansey and they are making wedding plans. While there, the evil Marsala uses black magic in an attempt to see through Curry's eyes and find out their location. Chansey has other plans for Marsala, and nips that in the bud in a rather entertaining way. However, due to the threat of M ...more

I was hoping that I would like this book more than I did the first one in the series, but sadly, this was another “meh” book for me. Try as I might, I just couldn’t get into the story. I’m not saying I didn’t like it, but I didn’t get that “wow” feeling that comes from a great book either. Having said that, I feel that there are some elements that readers will enjoy and find interesting. And like I did with book one, I’m going to break this review

Hoping that the story would take a different turn and happy to say to that it did and I enjoyed it. With the simple writing style as well as the good plot, Georgia Cates was able to take us on this vampire-coloured story wrapped within it a sweet love story and an adventure.

Written from the point of view of Curry which is something that I ultimately enjoyed and a brief look from Marasla's point of view, Curry Benran's maker ( To see my review of book 1, click HERE ) we get a look at he
Blood Jewel is the second book in the Vampire Agape Series.

The relationship between Curry and Chansey finally went into full swing. Marsala had located them by magic so timing of everything was moved up. They were married and their relationship moved to a higher level. You know, as a reader, I had been getting a little frustrated myself about the whole waiting thing. Seriously, they had originally planned on putting the wedding back a few months. Thank goodness for Marsala making them speed it u
First Thoughts:
My Very first thought about this book was… OMG I need more Curry! The first book was super amazing and had me impressed the whole way through, and I totally fell in love with Curry! What a sweetheart he is!
The Main Character:
Curry… I fell in love with him in the first book, and this book only solidified his Book bf material in my mind. He is strong, protective, loving, caring, handsome, ugh he is just everything that is perfection really! I also loved that this book really had a
The world of this series is interesting, I enjoyed the concept of the Agápe and the whole mechanism of it was fun. As a personal note, I enjoyed more the first book, it felt tenser to me, and you guys know I'm a sucker for intensity in things. The Blood Jewel side of things was also very interesting, so the world building was cool because the author thought up interesting building blocks for it and weaved them together nicely.

The characters were fun, Chansey and Curry and the whole crew were fun

Wow! Wow! Wow! Double Wow!

This book left me extremely thirsty for more! No pun intended. I read this one as a standalone, meaning I didn’t read book one in this series before reading this second book. I haven’t happened upon The Vampire Agape books. before reading this one. Had I began with book one; I would have met Bood Jewel with much more scaffolding and a solid cache of informat

With star-crossed lovers and captivating prose, Blood Jewel sure to win over those looking to get swept away with a romantic story.

Curry and Chansey are soon to be married, and are happily making plans to start their new lives together. But Marsala, the maker that Curry escaped 22 years ago, is not ready to let go of him yet. Through the use of Black Magic, she attacks Chansey and forces Curry and his family to consider making Chansey death proof.

Soon events will transpire that will not only change Chansey and Curry's lives, but their vampire and human family's too. More than that, it might make them believe in miracles.
