I enjoyed reading Bloodlines. I loved the setting, a Louisiana island filled with Cajun fishermen. It was perfect for a thriller filled with secrets from the past combined with something akin to voodoo. The relationship between the influential Ambrose family and the islanders was well established. This story was exactly what it was described to be. Intense. The thrills and suspense were what kept wanting to read it. The story is amazing. I love how the author told this story. Very well written. The characters were great. Some were quite the 'characters'. Ambrose is a charming maniac. You hate him, you wonder, and eventually you understand him.
