Loved it. Ally is so feisty and Michael so ogre-ish, you KNOW they're going to end up together. It's a great historical romance with a modern twist and everyone can relate. Terry gave great depth to her characters, even to Victor, the whiny brat. If you like independent heroines and troubled, brooding, yet fundamentally kind men, this is a worthy read. I recommend it warmly.
Who would have thought the insufferable Michael Langdon, an authoritarian, pompous bully could be tamed by an innocent orphan maid? The Notorious Proposal is an enchanting romance novel that will have you smiling, laughing, and sheading a few tears, so have the tissues ready. The plot takes place in England in 1812 and Ms. Long’s description of the time period is amazing.
