Recommends it for: Travellers to and residents of that area
It would be fascinating to take this book on a motoring holiday following the course of the Rhine. Post WW2, much will have changed.

I love the note (p.xiv) stating that passports are unnecessary; though very handy for proving one's identification. At that time the cost of a passport is given as 2 shillings (10 new pence)!
