“For eternity. Until the end of days. Until the sun falls from the sky.”

Woww. Now that’s how you write a f**king awesome paranormal romance!!!

Smokin’ hot and steamy! Original world-building! Strong characters! Page-turning writing! This book has it all!

“All. Fucking. Mine. ” he whispered fiercely.

In this world, vampires always have a chosen concubine (either male or female depending on the preference) in their lives who serve to feed them blood for a few years at a time until they a...more
UniquelyMoi *Dhestiny* BlithelyBookish

Fans of the paranormal romance genre are painfully aware that vampires have been done to death, and it’s hard to find a unique take on their world. They’re always immortal, tormented, domineering, powerful man-whores, and hey, some are even sparkly vegetarians… but the bottom line - they’re always the same and that gets old. Fortunately Kristen Ashley has created a unique world where vampires were once free to be what and who they are, until they were forced into hiding their true natures. Thank...more

HOLY ALPHA MALE HOTNESS, KA HAS DONE IT AGAIN!!!!!!!

Seriously, Kristen Ashley is the best, most kick ass author!! This book was fantastic. Just plain freaking terrific . I love her and her books. Until the Sun Falls from the Sky has it all, sex, angst, alpha males, a strong female lead and a flipping terrific plot. There were no dull moments, I was completely captivated and entranced. The thing about KA books that I love are the details in her writing. She has a...more

Until the sun falls from the sky. The words of the Ancient Claiming Ceremony hit his brain.[...]If they had five years or five hundred, Leah would never bore him. He knew this in that instant right to the depths of his soul.

Leah Buchanan at forty years old has been called to the Selection. She, like her family for centuries, has been brought up to serve the vampire nation. Her mother and aunts before her have been concubines, used as a source of fresh blood for feeding by vampires. She...more

“Until the sun falls from the sky.”

Beautiful idea. Wonderful Sentiment.

I love the title of this book. It’s simply beautiful. I love the idea of someone telling me that they would love me “until the sun falls from the sky”. That is some great romantic crap that I fall for - hook, line and sinker! Also, I love KA’s other novels.... a lot! I am a super-fan. No one can write strong, alpha males like she can. Did I think she could...more

The book gif-review style, i aim for no spoilers so i might not make complete sense unless you have read the book :)
This is Lucian at the start of the book

This is Leah

I am actually pretty convinced that Leah is actually a teenager, she certainly acted like one throughout most of the book.
This is Leah after she has been choosen & is living with him

This is Lucian

Then loads things happen which make me seriously pissed.. so at this point i figure

but (IMO)

Lucien is all ...

I'm exhausted and still trying to come to terms with the fact I did not like this book like I thought I would. While I'll admit the last 30% somewhat redeemed this story and hero for me, it was not enough to make it one of my favorite Kristen Ashley books.

Since so much has already been said about this story, Lisa P's review was spot on and not only captured my emotions and feeling about this book but about the heroine as well. Sure, at times she was immature, but considering th...more

Here is 85% of this story:
1. Mortal concubine meets Big Bad Master Vampire and refuses him
2. Master Vampire both trumps concubine’s refusal and challenges existing vampire law
3. couple and sex, sex and couple, w/a few intrusions by meddling family members and green-eyed monsters

So, after trudging through that (seriously the longest I’ve ever taken to read a (KA) book in a while(LOL), finally the story lends purpose when the Master Vampire seeks to set precedence for all vampires alik...more

Put another tally in my "Love It" column of the Kristen Ashley books that are wonderful. Once again all the elements I have listed again and again with every KA book I have read as positive hot buttons where present in this story.

This is a paranormal story with a bossy, alpha vampire, Lucien , who is over 800 years old. The heroine is his chosen concubine, Leah. He chose her and has been waiting for her for 20 years, and she has spent her time avoiding him and looking for every loop hole in the...more

So we all know that Kristen Ashley can write sensational romance stories. The question is – can she write paranormal romance? I am happy to report that the answer to that question is a resounding HELL YEAH!!!

I FREAKING LOVE THIS BOOK!! Seriously, it was insta-love from chapter 1, and I was hooked the whole way through. It’s quite long, but at no point did it drag, or did I skip over anything – if anything, it’s the opposite!! I went back to read bits of it a second time so I could squee all over...more

”I’m in love with you, Mighty Vampire Lucien.”

Kristen Ashley’s book one of the Three Series is just Blood-Suckingly Awesome!

Leah Buchanan comes from a long line of vampire concubines. Yep, vampire concubines. They provide feedings to their master in exchange they receive protection and financial stability for their lives. Leah however isn’t interested in following this family tradition and keeps herself out of Selections for twenty years.

Kristen Ashley + Paranormal = Lucien and Leah, Vampire and Mortal....... FREAKING AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5 STARS!!!!!!

What a fabulous romance!!!!!! I love the whole Vampire Concubine history. I had complete faith that KA would deliver such a compelling story of love and loyalty. Lucien, an 822 year old vampire, and hero of his kind was none less than amazing. Alpha to the core, hero of war, and sexy as hell. Pissing me off at every turn, just as he should be. When Lucien refers to Leah as Life, I melted into a puddle it was one of the most romantic, most sexiest, most incredible usage of that word I have read.

WOW!

This was so not what I expected!

Another great story by Kristen Ashley!
This is the first paranormal romance I've read from her and I LIKE IT!

Lucien is a Vampire and His character is very dark, domineering, arrogant, and 'strong'.
There were so many times in this story when I was so 'pissed off' at Lucien for his utter lack of regard for Leah feelings and her situation that I wanted to stop reading, and yet I couldn't. He was just so 'cold' and I really Did. Not. Like. Him.
However, I think th...more

People who know me, know I'm not a big fan of vampires and shapeshifters but I sometimes venture out and read some of the ones that appeal to some of my GR friends to see what I might have missed. I knew I was eventually going to read this one because it's Kristen Ashley and she has made several themes/plots, that normally don't hold a lot of appeal for me, interesting.

I did like it. I don't think it was KA's best but I got into it enough that I'll definitely check out the rest of the series (wh...more

This book was incredible. I was actually kind of expecting to hate it a bit. I am a fan of Vampire novels and was expecting it to be pretty much a paint by numbers read. Turns out, like most everything Kristen writes, I got hooked into the main characters. It felt like she took the old and transformed it into something new and entirely exciting. I was surprised to see I actually felt the emotions with the characters, for me that is rare. I laughed, cried, felt loss and even fell in love. Totally...more

I really hate to say this cos I love my girl KA, but IMO, she should not write PNR. Granted this is the 1st book in this series. We all know that alot of times 1st books are hard to get through. Which I call "1st book syndrome" With the world building etc.. these things are often times slow and hard to get through. But what my problem was, well one of them, with this book is that 85% of this book was not really world building. It was being stuck in a nice house, on nice property with a cook, a c...more

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS BOOK!

A lot of us already agree that KA is a gifted writer, but I was still hesitant to read this book because it was about vampires. I really have had zero interest (don't know I have been hating on them, just have) in reading a book abut vampires. But then I heard the second book in this series was coming out and i thought, ok time to dive in. Well I must say if I could find more stories like this one I would read more book...more

Hah okay, this seems to be another one that I didn't enjoy as much as everyone else. I felt slightly let down with this book and I wanted to love it :(

The good stuff:
I loved the whole urban fantasy world and history of how and why the immortals live among humans. So far I have only read the BDB series and this is just so completely different.. the only similarities between the BDB vampires and Kirsten Ashley's vampires are that they are immortal and that they drink blood.

I've read this one several times now and each time I do I find myself loving it more and more.

The first time I liked it - it was different, not at all what I was expecting from a "vampire" story, but really good all the same.

But the second time, I loved it! In an overpopulated genre, 'Until the Sun Falls from the Sky' stands out as an original, compelling story that eases you into a unique paranormal world and spits you out with a bang!

Just when I thought I "knew" everything there was about va...more

Wow. A miracle has happened I've read the first Ashley book that I don't like. I did not like Leah AT ALL. She was an infant and a spoiled one at that with entitlement issues. I felt incredibly bad for Lucien, he was an interesting character and had he actually met his match this would have been a much better read.

As it was, it took away any slight enjoyment I could have had with this book to have to constantly read about Leah's childish, manipulative antics. She was 40 going on 12 and was proud...more

This is the best Kristen Ashley book I read to this date! (I´m hoping for that to change soon.) I loved the plot. Very much drama, it never got boring. And I absolutely loved the mighty vampire Lucien. He was a totall jerk in the beginning, yes. But a loveble jerk. And I happen to love to read about those types of jerks :)
I liked the heroine aswell, Leah, okey-ish. She was fun and made me laugh more then once. But the thing is, I find that all the heroines of Kristan Ashley, is very, ve...more

I flat out adore KA's contemporary romances. Seriously - if I could crawl inside them and live - even as a minor character - id do it in a heartbeat. That said, while I have liked them, I haven't felt the same intensity about her paranormal and fantasy books - until now. I've been son over the swhole vampire story line for so long that this was the last KA book I read - and I'm really sorry I waited. I loved loved loved it - every stinking word.
