The first time it was mentioned she was 40, I was shocked. I was sure it was a mistake, but no. She really is.
This was just one of many things in the book, that didn't really make sense. That Lucien was a jerk didn't help either. But what can you expect from an 800+ years old guy who is attracted to a perpetual teenager?(less)

Woww. Now that’s how you write a f**king awesome paranormal romance!!!

Smokin’ hot and steamy! Original world-building! Strong characters! Page-turning writing! This book has it all!

So Kristen Ashley can write paranormal too! Not that I ever doubted her. A different take than what you normally think of when you hear about ‘vampires’. Lucien isn't your typical vampire. And Leah... well, she's not the typical concubine.
“Mine,” he declared.
“Never,” she returned.
His mouth moved to her ear and he murmured, “We’ll see.”

“Until the sun falls from the sky.”

Beautiful idea. Wonderful Sentiment.

I love the title of this book. It’s simply beautiful. I love the idea of someone telling me that they would love me “until the sun falls from the sky”. That is some great romantic crap that I fall for - hook, line and sinker! Also, I love KA’s other novels.... a lot! I am a super-fan. No one can write strong, alpha males like she can. Leah comes from a long line of successful concubines, and now, for the first time she was called for a Selection. An event where vampires choose a concubine. But for some reason all eyes are on her and she senses everybody knows something she should know. Until Lucien arrives and marks her as his Master. But their relationship since the beginning isn’t the traditional between a Master and a Concubine. Pretty much because there are feelings between them and Lucien was waiting for

Fans of the paranormal romance genre are painfully aware that vampires have been done to death, and it’s hard to find a unique take on their world. They’re always immortal, tormented, domineering, powerful man-whores, and hey, some are even sparkly vegetarians… but the bottom line - they’re always the same and that gets old. Fortunately Kristen Ashley has created a unique world where vampires were once free to be what and who they are, until they were forced into hiding their true natures. Thank

Seriously, Kristen Ashley is the best, most kick ass author!! This book was fantastic. Just plain freaking terrific . I love her and her books. Until the Sun Falls from the Sky has it all, sex, angst, alpha males, a strong female lead and a flipping terrific plot. There were no dull moments, I was completely captivated and entranced. The thing about KA books that I love are the details in her writing. She has a

I'm well aware by now that Kristen Ashley writes some of the best alpha males, so when Anna my book friend waved this under my book nose it instantly got my attention. KA always delivers on the story lines for my reading taste and with the added unpredictability of a paranormal romance I knew I'd be in for a reading treat and I wasn't that far wrong, this story was both entertaining and sexy and although I didn't crown this with the full out five stars, I'm more than g

I'm exhausted and still trying to come to terms with the fact I did not like this book like I thought I would. While I'll admit the last 30% somewhat redeemed this story and hero for me, it was not enough to make it one of my favorite Kristen Ashley books.

Since so much has already been said about this story, Lisa P's review was spot on and not only captured my emotions and feeling about this book but about the heroine as well. Sure, at times she was immature, but considering th

5+++ stars for this one!

KA has shown the ability to create a world for every genre, and this one was so great, I want more, NOW!! The book had me hooked, I couldn't put it down for a minute :) This is a different vampire world, a bit altered from all the others we see in movies and novels, but I liked it, the explanations came gradually through the book, it was not dumped in one chapter and it was not overwhelming at any point.

For one, I liked the fact that they are real vampi
So we all know that Kristen Ashley can write sensational romance stories. The question is – can she write paranormal romance? I am happy to report that the answer to that question is a resounding HELL YEAH!!!

6 huge starts!

I FREAKING LOVE THIS BOOK!! Seriously, it was insta-love from chapter 1, and I was hooked the whole way through. It’s quite long, but at no point did it drag, or did I skip over anything – if anything, it’s the opposite!! I went back to read bits of it a second time so I could

Here is 85% of this story:
1. Mortal concubine meets Big Bad Master Vampire and refuses him
2. Master Vampire both trumps concubine’s refusal and challenges existing vampire law
3. couple and sex, sex and couple, w/a few intrusions by meddling family members and green-eyed monsters

So, after trudging through that (seriously the longest I’ve ever taken to read a (KA) book in a while(LOL), finally the story lends purpose when the Master Vampire sets precedence for all vampires alike, wheth

Leah Buchanan comes from a very important family of vampire concubines, these women serve the dark creatures with their blood and their bodies to keep their master's fed and always satisfied. Put another tally in my "Love It" column of the Kristen Ashley books that are wonderful. Once again all the elements I have listed again and again with every KA book I have read as positive hot buttons where present in this story.

This is a paranormal story with a bossy, alpha vampire, Lucien , who is over 800 years old. The heroine is his chosen concubine, Leah. He chose her and has been waiting for her for 20 years, and she has spent her time avoiding him and looking for every loop hole in the

When Lucien refers to Leah as Life, I melted into a puddle it was one of the most romantic, most sexiest, most incredible usage of that word I have read.

The vampires in this book reminded me of the Dark Carpathians by Christine Feehan. They are extremely is their way and their way only. Lucien could very well be a Carpathian but his ways are also different. These vampires have concubines, women and men who they only feed from and not have intimate relations with. These vampires only mate with other vampires. And that's how it was for Lucien until he saw Leah.

Poor Lucien...almost everyone hates him, at first anyway, and he is hard to

Besides wanting her, he craves owning her and thus ensues a battle between the two with Leah refusing to submit and Lucien employing somewhat questionable means.

I went into this book knowing it could go either way for me, reading so many mixed reviews where a few disliked Lucien immensely; After finishing I have to say I am Team Lucien. He

What a fabulous romance!!!!!! I love the whole Vampire Concubine history. I had complete faith that KA would deliver such a compelling story of love and loyalty. Wow. I was blown away with this book. I love KA's stories and I've read all of her regular stories more than once. I just wasn't sure about reading her paranormal ones. I was afraid it would mess up how I felt about her writing. BOY WAS I WRONG! I didn't even want to put this book down.

This was so not what I expected!

Another great story by Kristen Ashley!
This is the first paranormal romance I've read from her and I LIKE IT!

Lucien is a Vampire and His character is very dark, domineering, arrogant, and 'strong'.
There were so many times in this story when I was so 'pissed off' at Lucien for his utter lack of regard for Leah feelings and her situation that I wanted to stop reading, and yet I couldn't. He was just so 'cold' and I really Did. Not. Like. Him.
