Characters: This time round, Bobby is smarter and funnier. Seeing the 'apocalypse' through her eyes is entertaining because she is realistic but still able to see the farcical side of things like zombie cows. The others are all the same as ever, their character voices are very individual throughout. If you are a vegetarian then this might not be the book for you - there is so much floppy dead skin within this story that it would even make a butcher blush! Unfed is just as funny and entertaining as book one and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The pace is quick and picks up throughout and kept me turning the pages. I was worried that Unfed might be too similar to book one, Undead, since this book once again sees Bobby running away from the zoms but Kirsty McKay managed to keep it fresh and different, there was a little more to what's going on in Unfed, so I didn't feel like I was just reading the same book again.

This book is a sequel, so anything you read about it will contain spoilers about Undead.
Unfed picks up where the previous novel left off: on the bus that rescued Bobby, her friends, and her mother from the hordes of zombies roaming the Scottish countryside. Only now, the bus is rolling over in a horrific accident. Bobby is thrown, and wakes up to find Smitty trying to lift some heavy debris that has fallen over her body. I did not read the first book, Undead but I would imagine my reactions would be something like this.

A++ FOR THE SUSPENSE/NON STOP ACTION
A++ for Bobby and the gang! Huzzah for the kids fighting against the adults and zoms in that ultra cool quick thinking way.
A++ FOR THE HUMOUR GOOD GRIEF HALF THE REASON WHY THIS TOOK LONG WAS BECAUSE I KEPT REREADING THE GOOD BITS (Trust me, there's quite a few)

I loved Kirsty McKay's debut Undead and I was hoping we'd get to see a sequel so as soon as I found out that Unfed was being published I couldn't wait to read it. Once again the author has hit the ball out of the park and created a fabulous read that is perfect for zombie fans.

Ever since I read Undead, all those months ago, I have never looked at school trips the same way! Unfed promised to be just as exhilarating and terrifying as its predecessor and I could not wait - I read it in two days!

and also keeping the rest of the cherry chomper team together. 
, even though Alice is just as bitchy as ever before i still like her, she's loyal i have to give it to her so she isnt a horrid person, but this scene with her made me laugh, i 'll give you a clue about it, it was a classic MALICE moment

Undead was one of my favourite books from last year so I was really looking forward to the same non-stop action, humour and brilliant characterisation in Unfed. I wasn’t at all disappointed.

Just like Unded, excellent read. Would love to know if there's a third one being written. Again i would definatley recommend this book! lots of seat clutching moments which just made me want to read it even more.
3.5 stars. Another wildly entertaining installment from horror-comedy writer Kirsty McKay. It was just as good as the first. Good news is there is going to be a third book!
Once again I am left hanging in awe. I don't know how she does it but she does. Hopefully there will be another book to this because I just can't get enough! I can't express my feelings enough in this review, but all I know is that it was as good as the last one and this time it came with a lot of unexpected turns that made me turn the pages until there was none left to turn. If the second book is similar, which no doubt it is. You can count on me as a fan!

Really witty and hilarious! Memorable characters and interesting plot. Had me laughing out loud at certain points, it is certainly my sense of humour :P Bobby was an excellent female lead she was awesome. Definitely not a disappointing sequel and I look forward to reading the next book (there better be another one!)
Another fantastic book. Love the jokes, the zombies, and oh yes the occasional romantic moments. :)
