Her world soon crumbles with family problems and a friend’s betrayal. And wouldn’t you know that the same hunky guy claims he lost an important key the nigh...more

What were the main themes of the book? It's a cross between love and passion. Yes, these are two different elements in my book. The reader becomes so engrossed in this book emotionally, you feel like you are catching up with a good friend.

Were you able to connect with the main character and why? It was easy to connect with the main characters. If you have ever been in love before, you will definitely connect with Meg Mims' characters.

Which did you find more appealing, the introduction or the c...more

This was a cute novella that was a sweet contemporary romance but needed better closure. There was an anticipated happily ever after but it left me wanting more. There were so many loose ends that it made the storyline choppy – the state of Jennette’s parents marriage, what Tiffany was really up to, the future co-op gallery and Adam’s threats. This easily could have been a novel or at the least I would lo...more

The Key to Love by Meg Mins
Jeanette is an artist who does collages and is a photographer, although she
studied Psychology in college. She's very creative and
uses tools and liquids to enhance her displays.
At a brunch the next day her parents inform her of things that may change her life.

Steve had just lost his mother and his friends thought a night at the art gallery would
help get his mind off all the sadness.

Wow the box holds something precious-just read about the specific item in another serie...more

Meg Mims has crafted a sweet and heart-warming romance brought to life with sensual and detailed imagery involving art and food. Jennette and Steve are interesting and relatable main characters with very different backgrounds. Each struggling through their own difficult times, they are brought together by a twist of fate.
The story flows easily, as Jennette and Steve slowly realize the benefits of letting their guard down and trusting again. The author smoothly draws out their courtship, buildin...more

Ms. Mims creates a wonderful love story filled with emotional characters who are dealing with real life struggles. I found myself relating well with both Jennette and Steve. Jennette deals with a unexpected betrayal. Steve is dealing with a the death of his mother.I was wooed by all the deliveries, very sweet. I thought Steve's dad was so fun at dinner. I was left with a smile on my face but, I really want more. I think Ms. Mims should write a sequel. I want to see how things turn out. This is a...more

Nothing but sweet and romantic. Reading this book is very nostalgic in my part. The romance is undeniably good which makes me giggle, no words asked this book is definitely a must read from start to finish. It's a book that talks about plot and when I say plot it's really good in every possible way. The story has capture every sweet bone in my body and makes me reminisce my past love. I thoroughly enjoy the story as well as connecting with the characters. It's a very detailed story and I suggest...more

Mims packs every page of her story with amazingly rich, specific details about artwork, locations, fabric and even food. The Key to Love is a sensual feast, oozing with authenticity as to its setting and subject matter. The centerpiece is a key, which ends up bringing two seemingly different people together. I really enjoyed discovering the characters' vulnerabilities and charm. This romantic novella is a real winner, as satisfying as a cup of Hot Cinnamon Spice tea with a freshly baked chocolat...more

The Key to Love is a sweet romance. It's also interesting as well as informative. The author adds so much detail about how the artist/heroine designs and produces her work. Especially her collages. I had no idea how much work and detail went into a collage. I'm always interested to learn something new. This story, set around an artist and her life, is definitely worth the read!

I actually give this book a 3.5 out of 5

This was a quick read but very enjoyable and it is a clean romance also. I felt it was more of an introduction into the lives of Jennette and Steve, how they met and how they began a romantic relationship over a lost key. I love how Meg describes all the settings so that the reader can really visualize the scene. I have also heard from Meg that this isn't the last we will read about Jennette and Steve. I look forward to reading the next book.

This is such a cute, sweet story, but I wish it were longer. There were some questions I definitely wanted answered, and a longer story could do that, but The Key to Love was all about the courting, and the short length of this novella contained plenty to make the reader "ooh" and "aww" and swoon. Luckily, Mims has more in story for Jennette and Steve.
InD'Tale Magazine
Meg Mims develops a story with the typical handsome guy and the girl that comes off spoiled, ornery, and self absorbed.

I enjoyed this short story with a dash of romance. The title is fitting. Jennette seemed to have found Steve and his key at just the right time. Would like to read more about all the characters in this story and where they ended up.
