Derek has been moody and bitchy since before Christmas, however no one seems to be able to figure out why. When Derek announces that he plans to leave town after he graduates in a few months, his friends know they have to take action now. A blast from Derek’s past makes it all clear, but can a reverse dare really convince Derek that a happy ever after could be his, if he’s...more

A third installment of I Dare You freebie, and IMO is the weakest. The concept of 'I dare you' is weak here.

(view spoiler)[Derek dated senior Jaden couple years ago, before he knew his current friend Steven. When Jaden graduated, he went to grad school in a different city and broke up with Derek even though Derek pledged for a wait-and-see period. Jaden cold bloodedly said no, saying Derek was too young, despite Derek being 20 and himself 22 yo. It left Derek completely heartbroken. Tow...more

Oh the drama! Derek I expected more straight forward action from you rather than all the avoidance techniques. Glad things worked out in the end though. Bring on Twink's story! :D

Tam for sharing the story but...where is the epilogue ;)

While it is nice to know the reason why Derek is being such a jerk in the previous book, unfortunately, the resolution is not to my heart's appeal.

Yes, I like the idea of an ex -- it's one of my favorite tropes, second chances. But man, the reason that Jaden gives Derek for his leaving two years before is LAME. Then, he seems to be pushy while trying to get back to Derek's side.

Derek is hurt, I totally get his pain. But then, we have Stephen and Cory, conspiring to get Derek and Jaden...more

I am glad to finally know why Derek got such a bug up his butt in the last book!! I had thought he was jealous of the relationship between Stephen and Cory (even thought that made no sense in the overall theme since Derek pushed them to get together). Glad to see what the reasons were. This was a great story but I have to say that I think Jaden is a jerk. Would love to see more to find out how things go with these two. I don't blame Derek at all for his reactions towards Jaden and am glad he is...more

My favorite.

For a 30 page short this packed the emotion in tight.

Derek was so lovable. He had me tearing up more than once. I felt his pain every time. A perfect little story full of everything I love.

Great writting. But I need a quick fix of further down the line. I know in my heart that Derek and Jaden make it, but I just want to read it for myself lol.

Please just one more quick fix? lol.

This was a free read, so at least I didn't spend any money on this. It has served its purpose, because now I know to avoid this author whose voice is as potty-mouthed as her characters are repulsive and vulgar. Nothing I find even remotely attractive or sexy. That's a DNF.

And now on to the other free reads...

I really liked it, Derek looked like a great character since the first Dare, I was just waiting for his story.
This is my favorite of the three Dare's, I'm hoping/waiting for more Derek and Jaden.

3.5 stars. Good short m/m romance about a college senior who's been sleeping around for two years, ever since his boyfriend dumped him and left for grad school. Now his ex is back in town...

I'm a single mom to a great 17 year old daughter, and I have a full-time job as well. I started reading m/m romance about 4 years ago, then went to reviewing and then writing. I still review on my personal site and along with my colleague Jenre on our joint site dedicated to short m/m romance stories. http://briefencountersreviews.com

Some dares and prompting of friends led me to the role of author...more
