Hunter’s Find, Action-Packed Ride

This book, well-crafted and well-written, took me on a ride I didn’t expect. The plot had twists and turns, and at times when I thought I had it all figured out, another plot twist was thrown in to keep me guessing.

When a small-town sheriff unexpectedly finds a beautiful woman unconscious, lying in the bushes, he tries to find out her story, and when he lets his guard down, she hauls off with a right hook and bails on him. The two end up handcuffed together, at...more

This is a different genre than I normally read. Hunter’s Find features a small town cop (Hunter) matching wits with an FBI agent (Mandy) when he is drawn into the underworld of organized crime and mob activities. Lust at first sight turns to love and then marriage and Hunter must protect his wife when her undercover past surfaces and threatens to destroy their lives.

Hunter’s Find is very dialogue driven. There is a lot of fun, flirty, and witty exchanges throughout the novel. A lot of action. On...more

This book actually has more like 2 stories that go on. But I don't want to give too much away. It starts out with a feisty gal and an arrogant sheriff who can't stand each other, but also can't seem to keep their hands off each other. The lies, the deceit, the treachery.... but it is the mob we're talking about. I will say it has the problem many thrillers have - they get you slam-bang into the action and then at the 3/4 point it slows down and you start talking to the pages, telling them to get...more
Cheap and Lazy
Warning: This book is addictive. Although it's not shelved as a romance, I consider HUNTER'S FIND a romantic suspense since it's equally heavy on both (though nothing explicit or particularly heated in the love scenes). Hunter is a solid hero and Mandy is a seriously kick-butt heroine. Both they (and the other characters) were exceptionally believable. Great, authentic dialog. The plot twisted and turned. The tension never let up, only got more intense. The ending was satisfying--something I'm f...more

Received copy for a honest review.
Hunt lives in a small town where everyone knows each other. There is little crime, and as far as excitement goes...well there isn't much. Whenever Hunt wants to get some action he heads out of town, where no one will recognize him. One night on his was home from the bar he discovers a girl lying unconscious in the bushes with blood dripping from her head, and that's where the mystery surrounding the girl starts and Hunt's troubles begin.

I got work this week, so, I had to put this book down several times, and I hated having to do that. It's rare I read books this fast, but I did. I hated the characters, then liked them, and hated them again. Ended up liking all the right people in the end, which takes me to my favorite part. The last page says there's a part two.

Hopefully, it will come out on a slow week :)

Oh, my gosh! This is a little different from June's other books, but oh so good. After reading June's other books, it was a bit different reading the "rough" language but it fits the story so well. Here again this book makes your mind keep going and wanting to read.
