Kindle Unlimited Going through the entire Bubba the Monster Hunter collections and not sure if the boy is on drugs or should be...but he makes real interesting reading...and a little wonder if his mama dropped him on his head, hard, repeatedly, on purpose, bless his heart. But John G be sure to tell Bubba if he's ever back down this way to holler;I bet that boy is more fun than wrasslin' a pig...a supernatural no bitey one of course. This is an entertaining, albeit totally mindless, collection of short stories about a redneck who kills zombies and other such beasties for sport and profit. Most of the book consists of action sequences of Bubba killing paranormal beings. It does not pretend to be anything more than it is, and there is quite a bit of tongue in cheek humor here. Mixed in for no apparent reason is a very short story called "Zombie Mom" which is preciously hilarious and is about a nuclear family whose senior femal ...more

This was a lot of fun. Bubba lives up (down?) to his name as a redneck who hunts monsters for fun and profit. But he is also good natured and kind hearted and there is plenty of humor in these tales. Also there was (a little) more to each story than just find monsters, kill monsters. I found the two non-Bubba tales pleasing enough too.

I'm not sure if I'll get more Bubba stories. There doesn't seem to be a lot of scope for character development. He makes Firefly's Jayne seem like an intellectual!

Bubba, who's larger than life both physically and metaphorically, would maybe be a bit tedious as a character in a novel. These short stories are the perfect scope for him. My favorite of the collection was "Ho-Ho-Homicide", a Christmas-themed story that's not so much about the monster du jour as it is about getting Bubba to play Mall Santa for a day. This collection also includes a pair of non-Bubba stories, and the whole makes for a quick but fun read.

The Bubba stories are a nice break from your average paranormal fiction: for starters, Bubba's idea of "romance" involves visiting the nearest strip joint. Whatever your paranormal pest problem, Bubba has the tool for the job.

A collection of short stories with the same main character. They feature a redneck monster killer, who appears to have crawled out from the shallow end of the gene pool. Of course I am enjoying reading this!

I will read others. I need a laugh.

Want a very entertaining read?? Give Monsters Beware a chance. A truly unforgettable read. What a great protagonist!! Action…check. Carnage…check. Humor…check. Three great reasons to check out this great book by an author I will be keeping tabs on.

This short collection is a fast, fun read. If you can't enjoy a redneck with an inordinate armament hidden in his truck, chasing after all kinds of take yourself too seriously. Really. Read this.

The short stories of Bubba were ok.
Mainly mindless action, carried out by a chauvinistic pig.

The 2 short stories in the end were a bit of a redeeming factor. though not by much.
