MY KANE AKA TACK ALLEN
Seriously, a million stars. Tack has and I think always will be my FAVORITE KA hero others have come close, but I'm not sure anyone could best him. I. Love. Him. Brass, possessive, BOSSY, um hot, not the normal but still a kick ass dad...is there ANYTHING not to love?! I loved how he saw Tyra, decided she would be his and nothing could change his mind. I found myself grinning like a complete freak almost throughout the whole book. Still, after reading it about 100 times it...more

Wow.
What a fantastic book!
It's a fabulous conclusion to the best series ever, ever, ever (not a pnr fan so, no, "those" series' don't count), ever, ever, ever!
This book just got deeper and deeper, better and better.
I had read the teaser chapters on the author's blog ages ago, so I felt like it took a while for me to get back into the story. It also felt like Tack and Tyra were arguing a lot, which I normally like, but this started to resemble siblings in the backseat o...more

I’m actually super sad right now knowing that this series has come to an end. I suppose all good things must end. The bright side – KA writes a hell of a lot of books and I can always do re-reads.

I loved Tyra. She is beautiful, smart, sassy and she is also sweet and vulnerable. She was not exactly the type of woman I would think would end up with a badass biker. Truthfully, I found her kinda dorky.

Wow! I finally got to enjoy both the unique Ashely writing style, and a plot I liked, and several characters that I loved, and some smoking hot sex!! Tack was amazing!! When he did something stupid, he apologized. He was great with his kids, hard working, loyal, had a sweet side, adored Tyra, and treated her well. Kristen Ashley is the absolute MASTER when it comes to writing extreme alpha-heroes (seriously these guys are so alpha they deserve to be in a category all their own) who do something so heartwrenchingly awful to their women that there is at least one point in the story where you honestly think there is NO WAY it's going to end in a believable HEA. In my early 20s, I hung around a group of bikers. They were my brother's "bros" and simply because I was his little sister, they took me under their wing. There I was, a book geek even then, around a bunch of badass bikers, their old ladies, parties complete with classic rock jammin' sessions and plenty of tequila to help you lose your inhibitions. I never let loose quite like Tyra did that first night with Tack (not for lack of trying by a certain biker badass named Bull...lol), but I can assur...more

Good news:
Only one instance of Jersey hair. Thank Heavens. (And, as an added bonus, this story does not spend fully 1/3 of the entire story describing clothes/hair/makeup.)
This particular h is not exactly TSTL, but she's also not exactly an astrophysicist, either; fortunately, she actually recognizes when she's being an absolute idiot (though like all hs, she usually only admits it to herself).

I recently told a friend that KA has completely ruined me! Nothing measures up to her books...NOTHING. She is truly an amazing author and she just keeps on delivering the goods. Her storylines, heroes/heroines and to quote my friend, Dominique "kick ass" epilogues are beyond addictive. After reading 17 of her books one right after the other, this was the longest KA dry spell I've had to endure. I can say it was definitely worth the wait. I am still riding the high of Motorcycle Man.
