This isn't a complete book; it's a long first half that ends on a cliffhanger. Instead of a complete story it's apparently some sort of book broken into sections where I assume you have to buy at least two sections to get one story? Maybe 3? 5? Who knows?

Very avoidable.

Amazing offering by Stephen Hunt. I downloaded the book for free (links at the authors' site) and had it lying around for some time, until yesterday I just stumbled upon it and started reading.

I just loved the language employed and how every character stands out individually because of that, but then I am not a native English speaker and I tend to be overexcited by such things... or is that the budding writer in me, noticing small tricks of the trade put in motion? In any case, I've loved it.

A rather odd little book which has promise. Having a cliffhanger ending is pretty frustrating in Sliding Void but in what is essentially a murder-mystery it is really annoying. The story centres around a special police unit who get assistance from a Miss Marple-type woman who can see and speak with ghosts. It was an interesting idea but seemed irrelevant to the plot. It's pretty much just a whodunnit with random appearances from ghosts.

Still,it's well written and I imagine the entire story might

This book is about Agatha Witchley, an elderly lady who can see the ghosts of famous people awho is recruited to try and help to solve the particually strange murder of a buisnessman. However, this is really all i can tell you about the book. It seemed to have two very different plot lines to it, the murder and that part and the ghost part. They

Started off well but lacked a hero/heroine that I could identify with. I don't like to abandon books so I begrudgingly carried on - only to have a cliff hanger (if you can call it that) ending. I won't be getting the next one.
