Tracey McCarthy just turned 18 and is ready to be a man. It's 1977 and he's still living at home, stealing his sister's make up and panties, and fantasizing about how to lose his pesky virginity. It's the summer after he graduated and he has nothing better to do, although his mother is after him to work with her at the factory.

But he's young and horny and...well, 18.

So one hot summer day he heads out to the beach, bakes his body and watches the hot men. And is rewarded when he sees a hot Latino

So this story for me was one part sweet and refreshing, one part disturbing, and one part "What the fuuuuuck?" Does it mean I don't recommend it? No, I actually think there are parts that are really good, but this book either needed to be 100 pages longer or the plot needed to be simpler, because when things got complicated it went from curious and a bit over the top to just plain WEIRD, and not in the best way.

So Tracy McCarthy is 17 yr old boy in Brooklyn. He is gay and loves to wear

Read this book based on the strength of Tom Webb's review and, I have to say, he's right on the money. Hot, sensual scenes give glimpses of the hormonal turmoil in Tracy's body while allowing the reader to witness his coming of age. He's 18 and behaves his age. The scenery is vivid, the background true to life, all the characters painted with such realism you can almost smell them.

My only complaint is I could have read a hundred pages more, particularly if it developed the HFN ending through a n

This book started out really well for me. I loved Tracy and his voice was so strong and wonderful. You cannot help but fall in love with his little twinkie makeup up wearing his sister's panties boy as he goes out into the world to live his fantasies.

Quickly we find Tracy out exploring on a beach, a public bathroom doing all types of things that make you want to pick him up and run away with him!!!!

I would hate to turn anyone away from this story based on my star rating as my issue was a perso

This was a gritty, compelling read. I felt like I was actually in Spanish Harlem. There wasn't a whole lot of Spanish written into the story, but what was there was perfect (and accurate, God bless). The neighborhood felt real, and so did Tracy's confusion and frustration and desires.

This was set a few decades ago (9-volt battery radios!), but honestly it could translate to today fairly easily. You just don't go wandering off to find someone you don't know anything about. Today it's more about o

Sigh. The cover of this book has little or nothing to do with the contents. But, what kind of cover could this book have?

A very unusual one, because this is one strange book it is extremely kinky, for one thing, a domestic, "hey, I didn't expect this here!" kind of kink involving maintenance men, tattooed thugs, and an adventurous twink.

Tracy is unabashedly flamboyant, although he has to steal his accoutrements from his sister. He is beyond ready to have his first sexual experience with a real m

Tracey is small and slight. He has just turned 18 and is seems to be at the point he wants to explore his sexuality and lose his virginity. This is where the story takes a dark and disturbing turn. I really battled with the rating because on the surface I almost couldn't stomach some of what was happening. The end seems to bring some sense to Tracey and he seems to have figured out what he wants and what is not the way to go about it. Yet even here the ending seems a bit flat or maybe rushed. I ...more

The writing style is wonderful and evocative, the setting fantastic, but this story didn't work for me. It mixed porn and romance in a way I ultimately didn't find convincing. I would totally read shorter porn/erotica pieces by this writer, or longer stories in a different mode.

If you're into erotic humiliation, cross-dressing and incest under/overtones, this is the book for you, though, and I'd highly recommend it. But I had to skim most of the final third because of the incest-y stuff.

I had a hard time liking Tracy. He was a typical teenager, so I guess I can't hold that against him. I was sorry that his first sexual experiences ended up being in a public toilet with strangers.

I'm happy he found William, but what a strange situation. I did like that they got together so all's well... as they say.

so I thought I was going to like this story but I was wrong. It was so girly. 'Tracy' just happened to like Waring girl clothes and wearing lipstick? he also just wanted to be dominated and taken of his virginity. oh, a falls In love with someone after a couple pages and then the graph ending. just didn't do it for me.
