I got an email with a review on this book and decided to purchase it. The blurb sounded really good. Well, when I downloaded it to my kindle app on my laptop I almost didn’t read it right off. There were over 16000 locations. I didn’t want to start anything I couldn’t finish in one night. Well, I went ahead and started it. Let me tell you, I am so glad I did. I read over half of it last night and the rest of it this morning. I loved it. Sophia is a wonderful person who is strong, caring, indepen...more

After I finished this book and started looking for all the information for this post, I realized this book is 700 pages long. Those pages flew by like nothing. It's hard to believe that it was so many pages, since I devoured it in a day. This book gracefully flowed through the day-by-day life of Sophia's job as a nanny, and the gradual relationship with Dr. Baker.
What's really awesome about this book is how well the relationships are built. I...more

This former fanfiction retains so many similarities with the original characters and situations that I can't believe a lawsuit won't happen.
I have read and liked other former fanfiction, but this one needs some big edits. Characters were a bit too flat and one dimensional. Making someone nasty and cruel, but then change out of nowhere, is hard for me to buy. Everybody seemed to pout when they wanted their own way, so the dialogue felt unrealistic.
And Collin felt like a bully. I don't see the app...more

I thoroughly enjoyed Sophia's interactions with Victoria and how she drew the spoiled but attention-starved child out. I also like the last part of the book as all the hiccups and disagreements began to be resolved. However, I disliked Collin for the first two-thirds of the book, especially when he first pursued Sophia despite her continually telling him no and the danger to his custody of his daughter. I just could not buy their relation...more

I remember starting to read this as a fanfic; it was riddled with editing mistakes, typos and simple punctuation errors.
Running at 700 pages I'd have to have a damn good guarantee that the writing had improved before I touched anything written by this author.
**EDIT** I've also just notice that the author has given herself 4 stars. That's a wee shame.
