I loved this book!!! It had all the things in it that I love! Humor, angst, suspense and some foul language!! Can I say I loved Jess!! She is the type of girl I would love as a best friend and partner in crime!! She was sassy, strong, brave, and just down right kinda badass! The secondary characters were great too! Her parents and little brother were soo funny and you could tell they all loved each other a lot! Her best friend Amanda got on my nerves and what she did to Jess was pretty shitty bu...more
I really enjoyed this book. It was a fun and exciting read that had me laughing out loud on more than one occasion.
I loved Jes. She was so funny and sarcastic and I could easily imagine myself becoming friends with her. Nearly everything she said had me bursting out laughing. She was hilarious! The one thing that I didn't like about her was how she started crying at the slightest thing. Don't get me wrong, she is one tough chick but she was a bit too emotional at times. Another thing that annoye...more

I really enjoyed this read. It's a different take on the succubus character. Plot, descriptions and dialog was fantastic. The humor was down right laugh out loud. Towards the end I got a little frustrated as I felt like the author was trying to hurry and end the book. I wasn't too keen on the girl/girl kissing/lusting scenes but I guess that comes with the story line...all in all, a great read. I am looking forward to the next installment. I would like to see more action and lusting sin...more

This book borders between 1 and 2 stars. I think this is another book I got because it was free. This is the first time I can recall reading a book where it seems like everything is being taken place is from a third point of view/third person. Nothing really interested happens until I was 60% into the book. I mean it’s a teen book and it looks like the big secret was a teen girl liking this new transfer kid who she finds out is a succubus and his sister is different too. I was thinking she might...more
- It was good... but not great. I mean yeah the plot was okay and it seemed pretty straight forward, but the romance was shifty at best and the author made one of my favorite characters a complete ass. Also the main character, Jess, was always angry about something! She was like RAWR and GRRR everytime she was left out of Seth's loop of information. It was very irritating at times.
This book was pretty well written. I was a little surprised at some things that happened that I don't usually read about, so am not sure if I would read other books by this author, but he did well writing the story. I was frustrated with not really having Seth's feelings for Jes cleared up. I would have liked to know how long he had feelings for her, etc. this book is for older teens and adults.
This is an excellent book with several unexpected twists. The author's writing technique is excellent. The characters' dialog is very believable. Sometimes I wanted to laugh, sometimes cry, and sometimes kick both Jes' and Seth's butts! It is definitely a MUST READ!! And I am really looking forward to "Backdraft" the next book in the trilogy.
