Some like it hot, and some like it in the reference section.

Sara is having a love affair with books. But, since books can't make love to you, it means she's in the middle of a very long dry spell. Until a sexy Brit shows up. Suddenly she's learning just how stimulating a library can be--up against a bookcase, behind the card catalog, on the circulation desk . . .

Meanwhile,...more

Libraries are usually boring and quiet, right? Not in this story!!! The librarian gets some action in the stacks and elsewhere in the library. Even her assistant squeezes in some extracurricular time.

Sara Owens is the youngest assistant head librarian of special collections at the university library; she's only in her mid-twenties. She's a hard working, follow-the-rules type of person. She hasn't had a boyfriend in a while, but has be...more

Working in a library, I just knew I could not miss this book to read and especially when I was in the mood for something nice and quick to read. At only 50+ pages , Lust in the Library is a fast-paced and sex-filled or should I say more lust-filled novella. Written by Amelia Fayer, Lust in the Library takes us into the heart of what seems like either a Public or University Library and we are introduced to the librarians on duty. Sara who is an archives librarian and we discover the youngest ever...more

I don't think I'll ever look at a library quite the same way again. This hot little short story will have you reaching for a fan and cold drink in the middle of winter.

Sara Owens is Assistant Head Librarian of Special Collections. Every day William Hammond comes to the library to do research. Well, actually he's finished with it, but he doesn't want to return to England just yet. He's hoping to catch Sara's eye and then her heart, but she doesn't have a clue.

When her assistant, Veronica, points...more

As you can probably surmise from the title, this novella is definitely erotica. Unlike the book above, this one has some very steamy, yet tastefully written love scenes. There are 2 different stories within the novella. I think I liked Sara and William's story the best out of the two. They have been lusting after each other for months and when they finally do something about it, it is explosive. I felt like I could believe in their relationship and their HEA. Not so much in Veronica and Andrew's...more

So I saw this in the LJ ebook originals section, it was only $0.99, and I had a B&N gift card. So how could I not read it?! :)

I'm still not sure that erotica is really for me, but I certainly fall into the niche market for this one--librarians. Of course there wasn't really any character development or much plot or anything besides sex, because that's the nature of the genre. For what it was though, I thought it was pretty good. The first story seemed a bit less likely (librarian hooks up wi...more

To commemorate the Public Library Association Conference, which starts today in Philadelphia, let's talk about Lust in the Library.

Not book lust, although there certainly is a lot of that. Lust in the stacks. Wait, that could still be book lust.

I meant good old-fashioned hanky-panky in the stacks. And in the librarian's office.

Lust in the Library is a book by Amelia Fayer, subtitled "An Erotic Novella". And it definitely is that. But with a title like Lust in the Library it might as well be catn...more

Lust in the Library is broken up into two novellas, each novella being 50 pages. I had so much hope for this novella. I loved the premise of the sexy goings on taking place in the library and I loved that the hero in the novella is a British professor. But alas, neither novella rocked my boat and I was rather bored while reading them.

We are supposed to believe that Sara and William have been lusting after each other from afar yet neither one has been willing to make the first move. When they fin...more

*A review copy of this book was viewed from Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review*

Part 1:
Sara has been going through a dry spell but that may be over if she can get the courage to speak to the sexy Brit that has been doing research in the library. Veronica convinces her to approach him in his favorite section and she gets more than she bargained for.

William’s research has been completed for a while but he continues to come to the library in hopes of catchi...more

What I Learned:

- is that there is still this giant stereotype about librarians. Through the short story, Sara did nothing but think she wasn't good enough because she was only a librarian. Librarians need a Masters in order to do what they do!!! That is a lot of hard work and dedication!!! It honestly makes me question what other occupations are misrepresented in fiction!
- is that as much as I enjoy a good lusty yummy erotica, I need me some back story. I think I can handle short stories as long...more

“Necking in Nonfiction”
Assistant Head Librarian of Special Collections Sara Owens has long been lusting after sexy academic William Hammond. What she doesn’t know is that he’s equally drawn to her and thinks she’s uninterested. But with a little help from a friend, Sara and William soon find themselves, well, necking in the nonfiction section.

I had high hopes for “Necking in Nonfiction” simply because it featu...more

I'm not sure how to review this, or even if I should admit I read it. I am more of a Janet Evanovich, Robyn Carr, Susan Elizabeth Phillips school of romantic writing. I love books. The idea of librarians getting some was attractive to me, so I got this for the Kindle.
and a page or two into the book, I said "OHHHHHH." not quite what I was expecting. It a bit more...detailed than I'm used to. definitely more kinky. it was also really short. Novella? no kidding. almost more like a short story.

Full review at PaperbackDolls.com.

Since this is a short novella, there’s not a lot of time for character development, and some of you may find that detrimental. But if you’re looking for something different and hot, this might interest you. It’s definitely for those of you who like some spice in your books, but don’t have a lot of time to read.

I picked this up primarily because of the library setting. I laughed out loud several times during this novella. While the sex was steamy, the dialogue was rather laughable (e.g. "You were both that obvious. He looked like he was just about ready to do some research on you."
Jane Litte
Boring stroke fiction. You can read better for free at any of the alt.net sex or literotica sites. Apparently getting one's hand licked is super sexy.
Amy Denim
These were two cute stories of women finding the right guy at the library. I liked the stories, the second one the best.
Mary Ellen
Very short. There is almost no plot or character development, so the
encounters are quite unbelievable.
Nenna
Meh. A harmless romp you can easily find on Literotica. Well, not this exact one.
Jo (My House of Books)
DNF. Could have been a much, much better book.

This was just...a missed opportunity. Could have been so much better. I'd say pass. Review to come
