Are the sins of the father and mother visited upon their sons and daughters?

Undoubtedly damaged, Honey Lamb, like many, is a descendant of an unfortunate legacy of molestation, addiction, murder and bad decisions. For as long as she could remember, she believed the unhappiness she experienced was somehow bequeathed to her. The blood that surged through her veins seemed to

M. Ann Ricks writes an uplifting and inspirational tale in The Blood Done Signed My Name. The main character, Honey Lamb, is burdened with going through life carrying the sins of her mother. Honey Lamb had a childhood that makes you want to root for her in hopes that she will overcome all of her struggles.

The Blood Done Signed My Name is a book that will stay on your mind long after you put it down. I stopped short of giving this book 5 stars because there are a few parts of the story that are d

This book was amazing. I loved it. It deserves more than five stars. Truely shows the redeeming Love of GOD and how he will forgive anybody. I believe this book would lead people who don't know Christ to him, it is that powerful!

The story starts in 1918 while Sergeant Tanner is in battle (World War I), and later in the current day meets the main character Honey Lamb. Honey doesn’t know God but has been in a church service and wonders what the excitement is all about—salvation. Honey’s mother allows her daughter to be with her male friends because they have money. (Personal note): I shook my head, wondering what mother does this to their daughter (or child at all), unless she is on drugs. However, the mother admits she ...more

The character Honey Lamb in the novel "The Blood Done Signed My Name" was powerful and uplifting, inspirational as I turned the pages, I could feel so much of this woman as she went throughout her life carrying the sins of her mother with her. She hated her mother in every way possible, Honey wondered why a woman a mother that gave birth to a child hated her so much, and did everything she could to make her feel her pain. Honey was a woman that felt no matter what she was destined to be like her ...more

A Book Review by Author, Deborah Hall Branch

I must say, the title alone enforced an immediate curiosity within me. “My God, if it had not been for the blood,” I privately cried out as I turned each page thirsting after VICTORY’S climatic end.
The Blood Done Signed My Name is a divine Kingdom inspirational announcement that the blood of Jesus is still powerful and able to SAVE even those diagnosed terminally wounded from life’s onslaught anguish. And, who are deemed by natural man unchangeable. H

Family, blood relatives are supposed to stick together through thick and thin no matter what. That is just what family does. When you find that your trust is broken with a family member, is there any way that you can repair that trust or is it just broken forever?

Honey Lamb is a broken spirit. Honey is married to Mason and used to be so happy. They had the perfect marriage ~ he loved her and she loved him, just the way it is supposed to be. Every marriage has its ups and downs but when your trus

Running Away

Like Honey Lamb, each and every one of us has baggage. Hurt, betrayal, violence and abuse. To look at Honey you do not see a troubled young woman who is weighted down by her baggage. She tries to run away from her past, but the harder and longer she runs, she finds that there is nowhere to hide. Honey has a wonderful husband, Mason, whom she loves dearly. Sadly, her past is interrupting their future.

Honey knows that she can’t hide. With encouragement, she has decided to give God a sh
I had the pleasure of picking up this book via from the author for a book review; yet, it was not available on the social circuits to post the review except on our websites/blogs.

This book may have been a tad slow and recurring points but ultimately it got the message across about generational curses. Although we cannot choose our parents, we can choose our paths based on the decisions we make and take that can unfold our future destinies. Now, I clearly understood the reason for the title, our

From the very first page untilI closed the book I could not put down The Blood Done Signed My Name. I'm immediately drawn in by the main character Honey Lamb freshness and authenticity she jumps off the page . M. Ann Ricks writes with such a fluidity that the work comes off as smooth as poetry. Honey Lamb is no stranger to lifes trial and tribulation through addiction, childhood traumas, and fragile relationships you can't help but cheer for Honey Lamb. I received a free copy of this novel for my honest review. This was a touching story of finding God even when you feel undeserving, overcoming your past, and facing your demons. Honey faced a horrible childhood and eventually ran away from home. Now 17 years later, accompanying her neighbor, Ms. Sadie, she’s returning home to assist her in finding her missing niece and so that Honey can get a break from the memories of her husband and the incident that caused him to leave her. Little does she ...more

Taken back to WW1 we learn about Honey and the sins that visited her family because of the desire to have a better life. Secrets that kept them in lies as they try to live. Destroying futures until the message of Salvation and Redemption has been heard, accepted and believed.

Wow. The Blood Done Signed My Name is almost like a history lesson (and in some way, it is). This is a story about a woman who has suffered abuse, and then it showed up in her marriage. As a result, she finds the only person who can redeem her is Christ and break the generational curses in her life.

I saw elements of my life through this story and it kept me engaged (and I'll admit, there were times where I had to stop and shake my head). Melissa did a great job with this book.
