I have some trouble to understand sci fiction books.
Even when in some parts of this story I have to read twice as I didn't get it the first time,I can really say that this story is quite amazing.
The authors have a great imagination, I loved it.
Some readers won't be happy with the length of this book, for me was perfect as I managed to understand the plot, longer would have been to confusing to read it.
Terrific.

This review originally appeared on Brief Encounters ReviewsThis strange yet compelling sci-fi story is going to be very difficult to review without giving major spoilers, so you'll have to forgive me if I come across a bit vague at times.
Isali Dreams opens with downtrodden diplomat Everett being shown onto a crashed alien ship by one of the dock jockeys on his remote outpost. The creature on board may well have murdered the pilot, and it's Everett's job to try to establish contact, lead More...

I read this novella as I love Stuart Wakefields other books - Body of Water and
Memory of Water - check them out if you haven't already. This is a very short story but worth every minute of reading pleasure and the only thing you will be disappointed in is that it's so short. The concept behind this story is fascinating and the execution pulled me in from the first page. I loved how this story took me from what I thought was an intriguing mystery which would be more or less easily solved to a total surprise of multidimensional proportions. It takes a lot of imagination and skill to pull something like this off, and both are present in spades. As long as you don;t expect a traditional m/m romance, you won’t be disappointed.

Interesting! I don't normally like Alien stories, but this one was well written, and I really enjoyed the characters. Would like to see more of this world.

An amazingly good read. I will definitely be keeping an eye out for Stuart Wakefield in the future. I've read a lot Zahra Owen's books and I don't think she's ever written a sci-fi story before but this one was great. I hope to see these two authors collaborate more in the future.

The storyline was to undeveloped, but it could have been really good with some deeper work. The main idea was interesting, but as I said to undeveloped and bland.

4.5 stars. I thought this book was so cool, great imagination! The only thing that could have been better was more depth and the length could have been longer.

This was a very imaginative story, but I think perhaps too short a book to tell all the story to me. The beginning was promising but story seemed rushed and the world, not quite complete. Overall, it was an okay story. 2.5 stars.

I really loved this, but I took one star because some parts really confused me.
