It's very Americanised, which is slightly off-putting & doesn't always make you always appreciate the fact that it's supposed to be Russia.

That said, it's a very interesting book with some fantastic insights into the struggle of a young Russian teenager to figure out whether he believes that his faith in God is worth suffering for or not.

Bill Myers was born into a Christian home, and although as a child he became bored with Christianity, he decided at the University of Washington quote, to "make God my boss."
