I am Sharing (Little Critter) by Mercer Mayer (Picture Book)

The cooperative Little Critter shows how he shares his toys, his crayons, and even his ice cream, with his little sister. He even shares the TV--except when it's time for his favorite show! This book is a good way to teach young children under the age of five a good way to learn how to share. Sharing is important for young children to learn so I ordered this book to read to my day care children to teach them how to share with each other

Basic Plot: Little Critter shows how good he is at sharing with his little sister.

This is intended to be a book for early readers to use. It has only one sentence per page, and is very simply written. The art and humor of Mercer Mayer are, as usual, very present, making the story worth even more than the important message of learning to share would normally make it.

Good to set a conversation on what fair sharing is, as many of the pictures illustrate the opposite.

I love little critter. Cute and just the tiniest bit dishonest...another lovely book. I can see myself using this as part of a French story time since the book is nice and simple.

I enjoyed this book. I would use it to discuss how to treat others and why it is important to share and be kind.

I began illustrating books in 1966. Since that time I have published over 300 books. Most of my books are about things that happened to me when I was a little kid. Now I'm a big kid and I write about things that happen now, especially with my own children. They always remind me of what it was like.

I was born in Arkansas in 1943. Boy, that was a long time ago! It's real fun to be an old kid. Then m
