I found the perspective of this book to be unique! I've not read about a daughter of the ton compromised so thoroughly that gets a second chance. It did take me a moment to reconcile the character relationships in my head as I moved from the prologue and began reading the story. However, once I did and continued reading, I was glad for the background information. I was able to understand the totality of James character, and appreciate his love for Katherine.
