Damn, I really wish that VR resort existed!! Could you imagine -- any fantasy you have can be recreated in a virtual environment? You can come up with the perfect partner -- or allow another resort guest to participate. You don't even have to look like yourself while you're doing it!! Ah... only in Ann Mayburn's imagination I guess. For now.

This one starts with Tanwen arriving at the Sodom for a week's vacation. She's been divorced a few years, dated a couple of people, but it was nothing like
Ann Mayburn writes books that never are the same.
This one is a contemporary erotic romance that deals with virtual reality romance.
A vacation resort caters to providing virtual reality technology. A person can program in a fantasy scene and find themselves transported in an avatar type fashion to enjoy that scene with a partner based on the person's specifications.
Just think. Taking a vacation living out your fantasies, and leaving without any awkward break-up scene with a real life person. An
This book was right up my alley. Loads of fun, incredible imagination using virtual reality, some laugh out loud one liners, and a really lovely ending. The writing was strong and the editing good as well - not always the case lately. I won't spoil anything, but Sodom and the Phoenix is worth reading for the zoo scene alone. I did debate giving 5 stars, as actually I would rate it 4 1/2, but there was one character (the "bad guy") who IMHO deserved more payback. I do love to see the bad guys suf ...more
Ann's books keep getting better and better.

Sodom and the Phoenix is the follow up to Sodom and Detroit. In this story Tanwen meets Dom Bryan while waiting in line to checking into Sodom's Virtual Reality Resort. What Tanwen didn't know that is that it was BDSM week and Dom Bryan has found the one he wants to play with.

He talks Angel the owner into putting him into Tanwen's 1st fantasy, which is Cop and Speeder. Bryan gives Tanwen her 1st taste of what it is to be submissive and she finds that s

I feel like Ann Mayburn’s theme song should be “I’m sexy and I know it” by LMFAO. Because hot damn I think each book get better and better! For the longest time I swore that nothing could get better than Breaker’s Concubine. But hold the phone it just got WAY better with Sodom and Phoenix. Holy hot damn! Ann takes us back into the world of Sodom (I haven’t read book one but now I’m totally going to!) And crash lands us in a Virtual Reality BDSM convention that not only makes dreams comes true, b ...more

Sodom and the Phoenix is an addicting tale of two people meeting and healing each other. I was pulling for Bryan and Tanwen, they have both been through so much and are perfect for each other. There is a secondary cast who are funny and sexy. Sodom and Detroit came before this, I haven't read it, but I was not lost at all (I will be reading it though). I hope to be able to visit Sodom again there are many of the secondary cast I would love to see get HEAs and I want to see more of Brya

I loved the premise of the book, with a 40-something woman finding the courage to indulge her desire to explore her sexual side and the way she accomplished it. It never fails to arouse me when the heroine goes on a journey of sexual discovery, engages in behavior that are not deemed normal or decent by society, finds the sexual satisfaction she's been looking for. And of course, the sexy, hard, alpha male character is a key element in her journey. The attraction between the two protagonists was ...more
I liked this book although not as much as Sodom and Detroit. On the plus side is the virtual reality premise which I would love to be real. It's a nice story but I feel that the relationship develops a little too quickly. That happens in other books as well but in this one it seemed out of place considering the life experiences of the characters. I still enjoyed it and would recommend reading it if you enjoy a sexy fantasy.

Tanwen Evans is alone for the first time in many years. With her children out of the house and without a husband, they're divorced; so she decides to visit her first virtual reality resort that caters to sexual fantasies to find the passion she lost.

Two years ago, if someone had told her that today she would be starting a weeklong vacation dedicated to exploring her sexual fantasies in hopes of reawakening her desire, she would have said they were
Virtual Reality programs are where it’s at! Detroit has a wonderful new program that allows you to experience a different reality so real that you can’t tell the two apart.
Tanwen Evans was married to her high school boyfriend for about twenty years. They had two children together but their marriage was based on friendship rather than passion. Nothing was happening in the bedroom and Tanwen felt worse about herself because she didn’t feel desirable, that maybe the problem was her.

Rising out of flames and ashes is one of my favourite images. I love Phoenixes which is why I picked this book to read. Of course, I also love reading anal which is why I couldn't resist the title SODOM AND THE PHOENIX. We return to the amazing resort of Sodom, located in Detroit, Michigan. Once again, I'm wishing this resort really existed as I live in Michigan and it would be so thrilling to drive down and enjoy some hot smexy VR role-playing.

Tanwen Evans is vacationing at the resort as a tre
A great tale of n"never too late" to heal and find love. That said, I really want a VR club. I would pay a lot to have that experience!
Tanwen is coming off a bad divorce and goes to the Detroit Virtual Reality resort to experience passion again. When her friend signs her up for a convention and she meets Bryan, thing just get hotter!

I loved Tanwen for being so strong and willing to embrace her needs. Bryan was a hot silver fox and I can understand her attraction to him.

The Virtual Reality aspects were fun, and super sexy! They added an extra element and let the characters have a safe outlet to explore.

I love this series and can
A great BDSM smutty fluff read, with an older couple. (40+)
Tawnen thinks shes just taking a holiday, with some Virtual Reality exploration, but her best friend unknowingly signed her up for the BDSM week conference at the hotel. It was a secret desire of Tawnen, but not one she was going to brave on her own. Meeting Master Bryan in the line at the reception, changes everything. He soon knows that shes the one he wants, but what does she want?
Loved this, you get smutty fluff, BDSM, a more mature
It was a good building of the relationship between Tanwen and Bryan, but the sex scences were not as hot as they could have been. Amy wasn't forging new ground here, if you know what I mean
