This is a cute short story that falls a little flat, maybe due to the length. For twenty years, Alex has received a gift from a secret admirer on Valentine’s Day. The gift always arrives on Valentine’s Day, always has a note with incredibly messy handwriting and is always untraceable. This part of the story was great, and I loved the idea. There were also parts that made Alex very endearing – when he strokes the dash of his beloved car, saying “hey, baby”.

I just finished reading Admiring Jesse by Shawn Lane the other day and this was a nice similar read to that. The route both admirers took to court their valentine's were sweet and romantic although Alex's admirer really won the pot with keeping up with it for 20 years. A good sweet read.

I like the sweetness of the idea behind it, but at the same took 20 years to make your move? C'mon!
This was crazy short. Like 200 locations short. Cute but predictable.
Read last year, short and sweet. Can recommend. :)

Debora Day’s love of the written word began at age thirteen when she read a romance novel left on the kitchen table by her mother. From that day on, she devoured literature as if starving. It wasn’t until she was almost thirty did she decide to stop living in the fantasies of others and try her hand at creating her own fantasies. Much blood, sweat, and many frustrated fears were shed as she taught...more
