This book was an ok read. It was a little slow in the beginning. But it definetely picked up. In the Lori Wick books I have read, (granted I have only read a few) this book was one of the least predictable books I have read. I thought the plot was good.

The negative I have is that I thought Sean was sort of perfect. He didn't lose his temper, get mad. Or things I would expect a person to do. I mean especially if that person was convicted of being a bank robber. It was just alot to take in. Sean...more

Lori Wick's books are like comfort food to me. I know what I am getting as there are very few changes from book to book. They are predictable, but I can't put them down!

My favorite part of "Sean Donovan" is that the story continued on for a bit after the couple discovered they loved one another. I really enjoy books that show the troubles a committed couple faces, but many of Wick's books stop with the declaration of love.

Oh my, I looovvveeeeddd this book!!! By the time I read this, I felt like I knew Sean, and I felt close to him. To read about the turn his life had taken was, I don't know how to word it, amazing I guess. I loved Sean like I loved a friend, and this book kept my gripped. It's a great story of mercy and grace and I recommend it for sure!

Lori Wick is an excellent story teller. Her books are captivating as well as refreshing. She is a true believer. :o) A must read for everyone. The book was a great read.

Best so far in the series I thought. Not as predictable as the other two and fun story line.

This was the third book in The Californians series. It was just as good, if not better, than the first two books. It was a very sweet, easy read. Looking forward to reading the forth and final book in this series.

I really don't get into this type of book, the romance novel, Christian or not, but these kept my attention and were highly recommended one summer by my mother. They are excellent. I tried to read others and never got through them. These are the best. This one in particular is about a true struggle with Christianity and really tugs at your heart. Well written. Not just a romance novel.

A every nice read!!

I loved the premise of this, with Sean escaping hanging because of a woman agreeing to marry him. That said, his transformation from "good guy" to criminal and back again was a bit abrupt at times. Also, he and Charlie (Charlotte) learning to love each other came a bit too quickly for my tastes, but the novel is a heart-warming tale of redemption.

This is another great book by Lori Wick. I love how much I feel in the story & I'm looking forward to the 4th book in this series (Donovans daughter).
Mindy Worley
I'm kindof in love with Sean Donovan. I think thats pretty much my reason for giving this one 4 stars instead of 3. Fair warning.
Melissa
I love the "far-fetchedness" plot that worked. What a fun romance, a great hero wooing the reluctant woman.
Awakening
This book was really witty and creative. It had aunpredictable plot and that made it a fun read!
Jenny
Read this out of order of the series. Seemed to read just fine out of order. Enjoyed this book.
Erika
I like it - I enjoy stoyrlines with characters who come to love each other after a forced marriage.
Bek
One of hers that I've actually read twice. Gotta love the arranged marriage stories. : )
Elizabeth
I thought it was a little boring in parts, but it had it's moments!
