Silver Knight by Caron Rider

Caron Rider has given us a unique story about a young woman who been reincarnated. Silver Knight is well written, the plot and character description are excellent. This story is fast paced, full of mystery, demons, warriors and of course reincarnation. All of this combined gives us one fascinating story. I really enjoyed Caron Rider writing and cannot wait to read book 2 in this series.

Silver Knight is a fast-paced historical adventure that will take you on a journey through time in an intelligent, never boring way. Relatable and endearing, Diana is the teenage, demon-slaying heroine who rarely sees her thirtieth birthday, and Alexander is her love interest who is the instrument of her death each time. Tall, dark, and handsome, he runs the gamut from utterly merciless to devastatingly sweet, always with just enough sadness in his personality to elicit sympathy. Written for the ...more

It’s not often you read about demon slayers, and being reincarnated over and over. But what made Diana special was that she is able to dream about her past lives. That may not be the best thing. She only dreams about her deaths. Never about the good things, just her deaths and how Alexander has killed her over and over again.

At the beginning I was unsure if I was going to like this book but these types of books always surprise me. And once I started it I couldn’t stop, this boo

Silver Knight is pact-full of romance, history, myths, demons and a strong heroine. What more could anyone ask for in a book?

First of all, the characters' emotions in this book make the reader feel like they are really there going on the journey with the person. When Diana is having visions of her past lives, her fear, anticipation and sometimes even joy are just palpable. I felt myself smiling and frowning and even on the verge of tears. Then there's Alex who is emotionally torn. He doesn't kn

Silver Knight is an interesting, creative, and OMG read that I’ve sat here staring at the cursor over because I’m just not sure how to review it without giving away all the best parts. LOL, issues, right.

I will say the romance has some serious issues, like the fact that the demon, Alex, keeps killing our heroine, Diana, throughout time, yet loves her. Remind me not to go shopping for lovers with him around. Murder is just not my idea of an ‘I love you’. I like how my focus Caron gives to the ot

Silver Knight is a fast-paced and amazing romp through a set of past lives. It's the type of book that draws you in, and even though a few different genres are mixed it works well! Caron Rider has managed to mix together modern high school life, with a girl who has shades of her past lives peppered in. What you'll find in this book is nothing short of fantastic! I honestly read through each page breathlessly to the end.

Our first-person narrator Diana is quite a girl. She is very much an old soul

On the surface, Silver Knight seems like an epic book involving demons, warriors, and reincarnation, full of action! Don't get me wrong - at some points of the story, there was a lot of action and warrior fights, so this story does have its share of action, just not in the way I expected.

My main problem with the story was the format in which it was written. Usually in a chapter, there would be a short

A convincing fast-paced breathless voice characterizes the first narrator of Caron Rider’s paranormal, modern, historical, genre-bending young adult novel, Silver Knight. And all those genres really work! There are hints of deep dark mystery in the prologue, haunting nightmares and daytime high school book clubs. Computer dating and viral videos maintain just the right level of believability. Then Diana recognizes the you-tube priest from her dreams, and the reader’s taken into first-person visi ...more

I throughly enjoyed Silver Knight! I've been in a reading slump for a while now, and this book is helping pull me out of it, finally. It held my attention and was easy to read, and I flew through it in two days!

Silver Knight caught my attention because its hard to come across completely original plots in books anymore, and this book had one. After watching a YouTube video with her friends, Diana realizes that the nightmares about demons she's been having her entire life are actually mem
rating 3.5 Silver Knight by Caron Rider, is the first novel in what looks to be an exciting young-adult series, that blends paranormal and mystery. It delves into reincarnation, demons and warriors. The story started out rough for me but, ended up being an engaging tale. It had elements of mythology, religion, history and romance.

The protagonist seventeen year old Diana, suffers from nightmares. In them she experiences her death over and over. They are all violent deaths, and each gives her a li

Caron Rider's book was great. It was well written with a good story line. She took this concept of hers of a girl who fights demons and weaves it in such a way involving historical characters and places that just leave you gasping and wanting to know more. Many different time periods of history are touched on because of the use of reincarnation. It really kept me engaged and wanting to read more, the entire time. The book ended with such a cliffhanger that I will want to read the next book. I wa ...more

Honestly? I didn't like it.
It was so frustratingly confusing I had to keep going back and forth to get the gist of it all.
It started off brilliantly, Diana gets these brutal nightmares of her death and
Past lives you can tell it has a good plot and it was nothing i have ever read before. But then it keeps jumping back to the past and changes from her POV to others without warning.
I had to keep checking whether it was still her POV and whether I was reading the past or current events.

Diana is just a high school senior who has just been told she will be the leader of the school's book club and she is excited about this position. Her nights are interrupted by dreams of a past life. She begins to wonder if she's reading too much. Then she sees a YouTube video of this bishop in the Vatican who she saved in another life and she knows she has to go to Rome to save him. This begins a journey that is crazy and fun. I can't say much more or I'll give away most of the book. What I can ...more

Diana is having nightmares of herself being killed in various horrible ways and can't sleep. Each dream takes her back in time to a life she lived before and she sees how she died in that life. It is very interesting to see how the author had woven in history into the novel to give it a different spin. I love reading these dream flashbacks so we learned more of the history between Diana and Alexander. A story of reincarnation and love. Anger and Betrayal. A great first book in what I hope turns ...more

I just finished the book and let me say it was awesome! I'm not a pro in giving reviews, so all I can say is that I enjoyed it. it has history mixed with reincarnation, that's my type of must read book for me. I don't give it 5 stars because I was confused most of the time with the different points of view and times. *scratches head* but overall it made me CRAVE to read the next book. :D great job Caron :) I loved the main characters.
I hope the next book comes out SOON.

A breathtaking read that kept me on the edge of my seat!!! Caron Rider is a fabulously gifted writer and I am so glad I stumbled onto this little novel. It was a quick easy read that was both exciting and edgy. There was a little of everything...even minotaurs and Goliath! It was clever and fun...a highly recommended read. Great for a sunny day on the beach! can't wait to read it again, I already read it twice! Guess it's time to pressure Caron for a sequel ;-)

A captivating, easy read that kept me very interested throughout the book. In fact, could not put it down, which normally never happens. Loved the story line and the phases into the past and present, which made for a fascinating aspect of the book. I loved the main characters, Diana and Alex. I would recommend the book for anyone to read and can't wait for next book in series!

Interesting premise and I liked the jumping between eras/lives, but the switch to different characters POV in the latter part of the book was largely unnecessary and led to confusion. Also, sections of choppy writing pulled me out of the story...something that could've been avoided with thorough editing.

Once Upon a Twilight
This book centers around Diana who is finishing up her Junior year in high school and is about to become the new Book Club President (cleverly named Authors Abound or "AA"). She is a normal seventeen year old girl except for the fact that she has had very vivid dreams all her life in which she fights demons and a man named Alexander Black always ends up killing her as the dream ends. In the dreams she is a Warrior for the Light fighting the Dark and kills demons with weapons made of silver. She ...more

After reading the summary, I was expecting Silver Knight to have a lot of action. I got that and so much more. Caron Rider created a world where all one girl knows is death, demons, and the one man who keeps killing her.

Diana isn't your average girl. She's a demon hunter who is continuously killed and reincarnated with the same name and purpose. Though her looks may change, she never stops fighting and always finds the same man over and over again.

Silver Knight has a very interesting and original plot line. I read the blurb on Goodreads and my first thought was, I've never heard of anything like this before!

The voice of the novel is a teenage girl and it's writing very well, in the sense that you can believe that she is a teenager. Diana, the main character is your average teenage girl in a YA book. Though I often felt that she was a lot younger than the author tried to portray her as. She's not supe

When I was asked to read Silver Knight my first thought was reincarnation eek. I've read a couple really great reincarnation books through the years but the majority have left me horribly confused or just fell flat of being anything spectacular. With some hesitation I decided to give Silver Knight a shot. Here are my thoughts:

Characters- Diana is a very likable character in that she is strong, independent and fierce but I also found her a bit naive and certainly blinded by love. Speaking

This was a nice read.

The story keeps jumping back and forth in time between the different lives Diana has had. I really liked the short views in all these different lives as you're taken on a ride through history and get glimpses of many different time periods.

Diana and her friends were fun characters, although I did think that Diana could have been a bit more mature taken into account she has lived many lives already. Along the way Diana picks up more allies and these were all very intriguing a

Do you believe in reincarnation? I don't, but I admit it can make for an interesting story. Silver Knight was a fun present day story that took you back to the past several times for a lot of nice historic tidbits as we get a glimpse of each warrior of the lights past lives.

Diana, has lived with nightmares of herself being killed over and over in horrible ways. She never understood why she had these dreams until she recognizes a priest on YouTube that she has seen in one of her dreams. Now she

When I first read the little blurb I was one part worried and three parts in intrigued. I don’t think I’ve ever read anything about incarnation but I know it’s something that requires a deft touch to pull off without leaving out something vital to making it all work. I read the chapter sampler Caron provided and I knew immediately that I was hooked. It starts off a little slow as you learn about Diana but by the end of the first chapter I was completely engrossed in learning more about Diana’s p ...more
