Women love getting presents, anything from perfume to chocolates and jewelry. My favorite, of course, are books! In the Inspirational book, Christ's Gifts to Women, we learn how the greatest gifts we can receive are free, and they given to us by The Savior, Jesus Christ. The messages found in this book are needed for today's LDS/Christian women. Life is hard as we all try to take care of our families, our jobs, church involvement, and taking care of ourselves. The message of the world is that w

In 2010, Angela Eschler asked me if I'd be interested in co-writing an inspirational gift book with her about the Savior's relationship with women. After reading through her proposal, I knew it was a project I'd love to be involved with. We set out to bring women a message of hope that comes directly from the Savior--a message that will brighten our days that are often filled with challenges, darkness and despair. At least, this is how the world wants us to feel. The Savior wants us to take His ...more

This inspirational book gave me a unique look at several gospel stories from a modern woman's perspective. It's a great tool to dismiss the world's view of women and focus on Christ's view of women.

This book is absolutely breathtaking! It contains a beautiful message for women, reminding us of who we are and how our Savior views each one us as His daughters. It is inspiring and uplifting and should be added to the library of every Latter-Day Saint woman!

First off, I have to talk about the format, design, and art involved in this book. Because I am a technical writer, formatting and presentation are huge to me. The better the document looks, the better response it will get. The presentation

A beautiful book inside and out. Five thoughtful and thought-provoking essays by authors Heather B. Moore and Angela Eschler, gathered together in Christ’s Gifts to Women. Much more than essays is going on in this book. It is graced by design and content as well as words.

The design of the book jacket (and, peeking underneath I see of the book itself) is tastefully purple and portrait. Mary Magdalene at the garden tomb shows by the look on her face that she has seen that the Christ lives. Inside

What a beautiful book. If you are a woman and struggling with who you are, or where you are going, you need to pick up this book and read it! They wove true stories of women from the bible who in their time suffered many trials, especially by being a woman. With Faith in Christ all things are made possible. No matter how far gone you think you are and don't feel like forgiveness will be yours, Look at the woman taken in adultery. As Christ put it in John 8:7 "He that is without sin among you, le ...more

Women hold a special place in the heart of the Savior, yet sometimes we forget just how important we are and how much we are loved. Christ's Gifts to Women asks us to look at the sacred gifts we've been given: the gift of mercy, the gift of experience, the gift of wholeness, the gift of nurturing, and the gift of seeing. Each brief chapter allows us to look at the lives of women in the Scriptures, as well as at our lives, and see how we too have been blessed by the gifts of the Savior. I found m ...more

What a powerful book written just for women….ALL women! As seen through Christ’s eyes and life, the authors show us how much Christ loves us. It doesn’t matter that we have flaws and doubts and troubles. Jesus loves us all the same. And he is willing to give us the same gifts he bestowed on the various women in his lifetime: the daughter of Jairus, the Samaritan woman at the well, the adulteress, and Mary and Martha. The gifts of mercy, nurturing, and wholeness, to mention a few. The illustratio ...more

Beautiful book. As another reader said, these gifts are not just gifts to women. The appeal of this book to women is the use of stories, all about women in the New Testament, all who met with and learned at the feet of our Savior. I loved the artwork, both newer art and many older beautiful pieces are included in this book. Definitely a book that can be read over and over. I loved the focus on the Atonement of Jesus Christ. All women should read this and learn how they can improve their relation ...more

Mercy, Experience, Wholeness, Nurturing and Seeing are just some of the gifts given to Women by a loving Savior. As women who wish to strengthen their relationship with their Elder Brother, this book reminds women of the gifts they are to Him. Moore and Eschler have penned words to clarify the important role of women. They have coupled these chapters with beautiful artwork to enhance the reminder that we must make Christ our anchor. I highly recommend this book for the women in your life.

This book is a beautiful glimpse into womanhood and all the different facets of womanhood. It's a testament that God loves his daughters and knows them. It is a reminder that with the Savior in our lives, we can overcome anything and be the women He sees in us. The beautiful artistic layout of the book coupled with words that pierce the heart and offer enlightenment make this a wonderful gift--not just for the women on your shopping list, but a gift for yourself.

Co-authored with Angela Eschler, also a talented editor, this is a BEAUTIFUL book. The choice of artwork combined with the in-depth and insightful examination of the divine qualities of women and gospel principles provided in the traditional bible stories of Christ's interaction with women is enlightening and inspiring. A book that feeds the woman's heart and soul. Thank you Heather & Angela, a beautiful gift for my Mom for Mother's Day (and for myself).

What a beautifully written and illustrated book! This book looks at women such as Mary and Martha, the woman taken in adultry, the woman who touch Christ robe. Christ has given us gifts to help us in our lives when we have lost hope, are in despair. These messages help to lift us doing those hard times. Well worth reading again.

Do we even realize how much the Savior loves us?
This book expounds on the gifts we as women have been given to help us overcome the trials that will come our way.
Beautiful illustrations make this a book to read and ponder over and over again.

I received this book as a gift for Mother's Day from my mother-in-law. It is a gorgeous book, printed on patterned pages with lovely artwork throughout. The message was equally beautiful. However, I think the title is misleading - I feel these are Christ's gifts to everyone, not women alone. The book focuses on examples of women in the Scriptures who have received Christ's gifts of mercy, experience, wholeness, nurturing, and seeing; but these gifts are imparted unto any man or woman who seeks t ...more

I was expecting this to be truly inspiring. Instead, I found it to be simply "a rather nice read." It's "cocoa" table book-sized, and I wouldn't be surprised if I get it from one of our grandparents for Christmas. Perhaps I would get more out of it if a few of my sistahs out there decide to read it and discuss it with me. Otherwise, I found it to be another book about stuff I've already heard or known, and I'll just leave it on the cocoa table for someone to peruse when they come to visit.

Gorgeous book with a beautiful message. The artwork and layout is stunning and sets the stage for the powerful message within. Through scripture stories and messages from prophets and apostles we take a closer look at ourselves and our relationship with our Savior, Jesus Christ. Inspiring and thought provoking.
