Aydan and Zane...where to begin. This is a tangled story of love and loss, sacrifice and revenge, good and evil. I have loved watching the development of Aydan, Nessa, Zane and Cass. And the new characters - well, I just love them too! All I can promise is that this is a story that will keep you wondering, hanging on edge of your seat until the bitter end. Some answers will be given, some relationships revealed. But it wouldn't be one of my stories without something unexpected. Just saying!

I would like to thank my friend and the author Christine Fonseca for trusting me with a rough draft/ARC of this BEAUTIFULLY AMAZING book to read and give an honest review. I am honored and humbled to have been trusted to read this masterpiece of literature. And I was not in the least bit disappointed with it, as I knew would be the case. It took me a while to pull my thoughts together to be able to write this review because I just did not know how to coherently put my words on paper! Yes, this b...more

A huge thank you to Christine for giving me a copy of Libera Me for an honest review. This hasn't influenced my review in any way.

WARNING: Mild spoilers for those who have not read Lacrimosa.

Christine Fonseca is a master of words. I feel like a broken record, but I can't say this enough. She truly has a way of creating a scene and making you feel like you are right there with the characters, feeling their feelings and fighting their battles. Her stories truly come alive. It's going to be hard to...more

Wow! Christine Fonseca has seriously just blown my mind…again! Not only that, but she given me an amazing opportunity by allowing me to read Libera Me early. Thank you, Christine! I am truly honored and humbled by your generosity. The gift with words that you have is truly awe-inspiring.

From the moment I started the journey into the world of books that Christine Fonseca created known as Requiem, I was a goner. From Dies Irae, to Lacrimosa, to Mea Culpa and now Libera me…every single one of them...more

I would like to thank Christine Fonseca for giving me this book to read and review. It was wonderful, and I am just so sorry I didn't finish it faster.

Libera Me was a roller coaster of emotions that left me anxious, and gasping, and happy, and then on the next page heart broken. It was a story I could not predict where it was going, and what would happen next. It had so many different twists and turns and surprises.

Aydan. Such a tortured soul. Trying to deny The Beast, and help the only one he...more

I won a competition and won the novella Dies Irae (#0.5) and Lacrimosa (#1) and I have continued on the Requiem series by reading the Mea Culpa (#1.5). So when I found the Book Tour for the next instalment in the series, Libera Me, I was so on board!! Christine has continued the amazing journey of Aydan and Zane in this book and of course she has left me wanting more!

Libera Me is an emotional journey for both characters in this book as they both believe that Nessa is Nesy reborn. But Nessa has n...more

Ok, I have to admit straight from the get go that I screwed this one up! Libera Me is a really interesting book but I was totally lost and couldn’t figure out why. I looked up the synopsis in Goodreads and noticed that this is actually book TWO of a series that has #0.5 Dies Irae, #1 Lacrimosa, and #1.5 Mea Culpa ALL prior to this one! And sadly I did not have the time to read those before this review. So, the review below is based on my not realizing and as I was researching this I did have the...more

'Libera Me' is the second book in the Requiem series, which follows Aydan, Zane, and Nessa while they try to overcome their pasts to figure out Nessa's true identity. This is a highly interesting series that mixes the lines of good and evil for the sake of true love. It's full of great paranormal beings, namely angels and demons, and their relationship with each other and with the human race. The plot is intriguing and brings new aspects to the young adult paranormal genre. I liked the...more

Hey everyone! :D

Once I finished reading Book One of The Requiem Series (Lacrimosa), I was at the edge of my seat.
The suspense of the last book was breathtaking and there were no stops, just breathless thrill.

When I first started reading it, I was kinda confused because there were a few elements such as the sacrifices that Zane made. I was so utterly clueless but I kept going on because I needed to know what's going to happen to Aydan now that Nesy...ooopps. No spoilers here! :D

Libera me is book two from Requiem Series by
Christine Fonseca

This time we read from Zane and Ayden's points of views, instead of Ayden's and Nesy's point of views.

Nessa

Ayden

Mmmmmmmmm... What should I say?!!!
Short summary:

After the death of Nesy in book one, and meeting this new girl 'Nessa'. Ayden and Zane try to make sure that Nessa is the reborn of Nesy. Nessa has no memories at all about her past; she doesn’t remember being an angle, Nesy, or even Ayden.
We see that those memories are exch...more

I'm in agony, alright? How could I NOT LIKE any Christine Fonseca books? She's born to write for meeee!!!

Okay, that probably crossed the line but heyyyy, this woman has a gift with words. I think if I to die and reincarnated seven times as an emperor penguin, Darth Vader, an orc, a Ferrero Rocher, a bottle of mineral water, Sheldon Cooper, and Batman love interest, I still can't write as good as Christine Fonseca.

Before I decided on my final rating, I had to keep asking myself, am I being too ha...more

I would like to thank the author for a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

I'm going to be honest, I had very high expectations for this book. I loved the first in the series, Lacrimosa, and expected to love this one even more. Alas, it feel short.

Pros:
-I really loved Zane's point of view, and his story was quite tragic. Definitely one of the more enjoyable aspects of the novel.

-I also really liked the relationships between the characters like Nessa/Aydan, Nessa/Zane, and Zane/Cass/Caim...more

My Review: 4 Stars, 1 Flame

You've heard the term, "The plot thickens"? Libera Me does that and then some! As you may recall, Aydan was heartbroken after Nesy's death however as this book begins, he believes he has perhaps found Nesy reborn as Nessa. One problem: She has no memories of Nesy, no memories of Aydan and no memories of their life together. Will they be able to work through all of this, their problems, old and new, and come out ahead?

The Good: First off, I love that the author has dedi...more

Another winner. This book certainly had me guessing all the way up to the end. Like Zane and Aydan I could never quite settle on if it was truly Nesy or not. This story was told from Zane and Aydan's P.O.V and like Nesy herself, we are left in the dark for what is happening with her and inside her head. I must have been so wrapped up in Aydan and Nesy in the last book that I did not notice Zane's love for Nesy until it comes out in glazing obviousness in this book, just as Cass's feeling from Za...more

Where to begin…

Let’s start with the cover. I love this new cover. It’s much better than the previous one, but although I do love it, I think I would have preferred less Nesy and more Zane. That may be the “Team Zane” in me talking. But truth is, whether the book had gained a new cover or not, I would have still read it since I’m already interested in the story and yes, because Zane has a bigger part in it.

As I’ve mentioned before, Christine Fonseca real...more

I finished this book a while ago, and have been digesting the story and what to write in a review. I'm not as good as some on this site with reviews and why I did or didn't like a book, but here goes!

First off, I would read anything Christine writes, even if it were a page in the phonebook. Her writing draws you in, makes you feel what her characters are, and lets you experience the richly defined world they live in as if it were your own.

Some of the following may be spoilery so I will hide it j...more

I want to Thank Christine for giving me a copy for a honest review! That doesnt how ever change my opinion in any way what so ever. She is a Brilliant Author and I have enjoyed all of her work.

I really enjoyed the emotional journey from both Zane and Aydan’s persprctive. They both believe that Nessa is Nesy reborn.Zane takes it upon himself to help her remember. Aydan tries to convince Nessa that he loves her even if she dont have Nesy memories. But is Nessa really Nesy minus her memories or is t...more

Seriously!! There are no words to begin to describe how I am feeling right now, after finishing this AMAZING book. I think I will take the opportunity to thank the brilliant and wonderful Christine Fonseca for allowing me to read this mind blowing sequel before everyone else. Oh how I had dreamed about this day. The day that this beautiful book would end up in my
hands and I would get to page through it's glorious story. You want to know something? Despite
my self made hype and the excruciating amount of time I had to wait after reading Lacrimosa, this
book was every bit worth the wait. In fact I knew 4 pages in just how worth it, it was! Yeah I am
talking that good and then some. Although I hated the wait the end result was worth it and Christine has outdone herself...more

The sum of who we are is encapsulated by our memories and experiences giving us a sense of identity, an anchor to this life, What if you had no memories to draw upon, you would become lost and vulnerable, helpless even and Nessa is no different. Gone is the warrior sentinel and a scared human girl has taken her place though Ayden fights to recover his Nesy and help her regain her memories. I kind of felt like a ping pong ball at times (terrible analogy I know) because sometimes I was team Ayden...more

I liked much better this book than the first one. I liked the different POVs because it gave a lot of background information that formed the characters quite well. AS always, Christine Fonseca writes beautifully and she is an amazing writer. I just felt it wasn't the book for me.

Libera Me is a darkly beautiful tale from beginning to end. An emotional roller coaster ride that left me with the need to call Christine a Master Weaver of Emotional roller coasters. Great job, Christine!

This book was ok it got confusing at times going back and for and from dream to reality the story was good it just would drag at time and it seems to run on the theory of the leading couple taking turns dieing and bringing them back

LOVED! Fans of the series will not be disappointed with this installment. And that Lillith thing? Brilliant.

Great work~

First and foremost, thank you Christine for providing a copy of this review. Secondly, thank you Christine for these characters and this world. Libera Me was exactly what I expected. Brilliant. How could it not be, I mean this is Aydan and Zane we're talking about. I loved the alternating viewpoints from Zane and Aydan. The heartbreak each of them felt was written so painfully clear. Aydan's confusion over what could be going on and Zane's inability to past what he wants to believe. I just love...more

I won a copy in a giveaway

Wow! Not at all what I was expecting. Aydan and Nesy can't get a break even when they are mortal.

This book has 2 POV's - Aydan and Zane.

Aydan thinks all is well now that he hs found his "Nesy" but Zane wants to make sure that this girl is really the love of both angel's lives.

Nessa just wants to remember and no one can be trusted or is who they seem to be.

The ending - well it's a big cliffhanger.

An emotional ride that kept me guessing at every turn, dip, and upside down whirl. It isn't often that an author can blow me away with the first book and then out-do themselves with the second and impress me even more, but that's what Christine has done. This novel will have you gripping your e-reader until your fingers are white. Love, sacrifice, redemption, damnation, hot angels and demons, it has it all and so much more!
