This was a quickie that was set at Christmas but really wasn't a Christmas story. In fact the first few chapters seemed disjointed and were hard to follow. There finally seemed to be a storyline partly into chapter 3 but even then there was really no meat to the story. The story was actually given away by the title and it had the happily ever after but since the story didn't hold my interest I really wasn't vested in the outcome. I have not read

A Christmas Diamond for Merry is a fun short story reflecting the theme of my earlier Tassanoxie books, small town, second chances. One reviewer mentioned that the title gave away the story and I agree, but the publisher has final say over a title, not the author. In this case, we had to change my original title (Merry's Christmas Wish) because there were other contracted stories with similar sounding titles.
