An interesting analysis of the globalization of higher education -- foreign students at Western campuses, Western universities opening up branch campuses overseas, increasing for-profit global schools. It is based mostly on interviews he did with university administrators around the world. Well written, and it's particularly useful in learning about India and China.

Pro "free trade in minds" an anti "academic protectionism." The book's approach is fundamentally journalistic - lots of interviews. I would have liked another chapter on comparative educational systems, and more coverage of Latin America. All in all, a useful read if not so strongly argued as I was hoping.
