Wow the emotions ran deep in this on y'all.
Honestly I was surprised a lot in this! Especially with Caleb and Hunter. And then the tid bits Cassie finds out about herself of Hunter, Caleb, and her own dad!
In the beginning I was shocked at how drawn into the story I was. How would you feel if you controlled other's fate but not your own? That was what Cassie had to deal with.
Ahhh Cassie (or Cassandra). At first I really liked her. Until her relationship with Hunter started. Honestly every time the
Guardian of Fate is such a breath of fresh air, it has such a different storyline than everything out there at the minute. It is beautifully written and I fell in love with the characters quite early on. There is a roller coaster ride of emotions throughout which kept me on the edge of my seat.

Cassandra (Cassie) is a Guardian of Fate, she gets visions of mortals that are in danger from the Demons of hell. It's her responsibility to change their fate and keep them alive. Cassie has been doing thi

This book reached out and grabbed me from the opening pages and never let go. I read it in two sittings. Surprising, because overall I tend to favor third person POV when I read a book. It could be the voice of the central character, Cassandra Cosgrove, a 'Guardian of Fate' who finds it her responsibility to save souls from Hell, or it could be the author's high-octane flow for the story that made it hard to put down. Either way, the pacing was fast and the characters intriguing, especially the ...more
I won Guardian of Fate as a first-reads. thank you again.
I really enjoyed reading this book. It's well written, you don't really know who to thrust. When you think you know who's the good guy and who's the bad, you realise you were wrong, and it's a really good thing to be surprise like that. Those I thought I would hate ended up being the ones I loved the most by the end of the book.
I will be looking forward to reading the 2nd book and see what happen next.
Wow...I loved this book. It is so different from anything I have read. I loved the characters...especially Hunter lol. This book threw me for a loop. Just when I thought I knew what was going on something completely different would happen. I loved that the author kept me on my toes. This is one of my must read again books since I loved it so much. Can't wait for the next one.
I loved it! The Characters are interesting and diverse. Cassandra is the kind of heroine that I love to read about! She is a strong lady who cares about those around her and does what she can to help them, no matter the personal cost. If you are looking for a new adult series, this is it!
In her premiere novel, Kentowski delivers a thrilling joyride, dropping us in the middle of the millennia old battle between good and evil. Her creation of strong yet mysterious characters, lends credence to her detailed work on this novel. Kentowski guides us through the fictional world with a skillful hand, keeping the story anchored to reality but also taking us beyond the limitation of our own minds. The story is meaty and character driven, full of angst, regret, passion, and suspense. The a ...more

Cassie belongs to the family business - a Guardian of Fate. The job of the Guardian of Fate is to prevent the innocent deaths of people whose souls Hell had targeted. (L.J. Kentowski, 2011, Pg. 7). When Cassie turned 16 she began having visions that alerted her to the impending wrongful deaths of people around her. As a Guardian of Fate, it was her responsibility to interpret those visions, find the place and people involved, and prevent

This is definitely one of those books where you spend a lot of the book trying to figure out what the heck is going on and who exactly is the good guy and who is the bad guy. That alone kept me reading this book for a long time....I couldn't figure out what was going on and was definitely intrigued.

On her 16th birthday, Cassie found out that she's a Guardian of Fate. She can see when people are about to wrongly die and can change that fate. But suddenly her visions are changin

About the book:

An imaginative tale, intriguing characters, romance, heaven, hell, good and evil. The Guardian of Fate has it all.
Cassandra is a guardian of people's fates, saving their lives, keeping them alive and out of hell. These people are targeted by demons and it's Cassandra's role in life to protect them, guard them from death. She could always count on her visions to be accurate, clear and precise, but something has changed and her visions begin to unravel and confuse her and to complicate matters fur

I was luckily enough to win a print copy of this book in a contest. It's cover is gorgeous and totally grabbed my attention. The beginning of the book was a bit hard to follow and was a little to overly descriptive about some of it's details. But once you get a few chapters in it started to flow as you start finding out a more about the major characters, and I have to say LJ kept me guessing. Every time I thought I had what was going on figured out she threw me for a loop all the way through to ...more

L.J. Kentowski did a fabulous job writing this book. It was an absolutely great read and different from most of the things I have read, which was very refreshing. When I would think I had things figured out they would change, which lead me to keep reading to see were things were now going. Those I thought I would hate ended up being the ones I loved the most by the end of the book. I really liked Cassie, as I thought she handled things well as they unraveled but wish she would have used the str ...more

Guardian of Fate had me hooked within the first few lines. The steady pace of the novel kept me turning pages, and the ending left me right where it should: anxious for the second in the series. Demons and seekers, guardians and angels, heaven and hell - this urban fantasy explores places beyond this world with ease and finesse. Great read. Seekers of Fate - here I come. *The romance is intense; those seeking clean romance may want to do a bit of skimming.*

If you read fantasy to discover new and exciting realities, you'll love Guardian of Fate. If you read fantasy to read heart stopping romantic encounters, you'll love Guardian of Fate. If you read fantasy to participate, however vicariously, in the battle of good against evil, you'll love the adventure. Whatever your preference, you'll never regret meeting Cassie as she seeks to learn just how complication life can be even for a Guardian!
This book was absolutely Ah-Mah-Zing! I loved every second of it!! So can't wait for the next book in the series! Full Review Coming Soon!

Book Synopsis

Fear of death is all too common. Visions of it chill the bones and skip heartbeats. Seeing it coming and knowing only you can rescue the soul of the victim from the fiery bowels of hell…that’s downright life-altering.

Cassandra Cosgrove’s life was altered at the age of sixteen when she found out that it was her responsibility to save the lives, and ultimately the souls, of innocent victims targeted by Hell’s demons. As impossible as it seemed at first, she was able to live a fairly

The beginning of this book scared me a little bit. For a small fraction of time, it started to read like Twilight. I am not saying that is a bad thing, but an authors worst fear is that their book will resemble another's too closely. After a short time though, this book was pleasantly surprising.

The author tells a story of a woman (Cassandra) who has two men come into her life by what seems like coincidence. It doesn't take very long to realize that is completely not true. The two men have impl

This is the first book in a series of 3 (the other two have not yet been released) of L.J. Kentowski’s Fate series. This book was a very strong, excellent start that paranormal romance and fantasy romance readers will find intriguing. Excitement, seduction, suspense and two extremely hot and definitely mysterious men are only some examples of what readers have to look forward to. L.J.’s creativity and writing skills are very impressive and will leaving you craving for more of what Fate is to bri ...more

In LJ Kentowski's freshman effort she introduces us to Cassandra Cosgrove, a 20 something young woman with a very unusual calling. You see, on top of living on her own (with a room mate), working a full time job and going to school, she'd also inherited the ability to see someone die before it happened. In these dreams were clues to help her prevent premature deaths. Unfortunately, it was through tragedy that she learned about her gift.

Pretty quickly into the book, Cassie notices a change in he
This book was a phenomenal start to a series. I can really see a lot of promise in the books that will come after this one. The characters of Cassandra, Caleb and Hunter were all well illustrated and excellently formed. Ms. Kentowski’s writing was very fluid and was so good you don’t realize your done the book till your reach her cliff hanger of an ending. As an avid paranormal romance reader I read a lot of similar books. What really stood out for me with this book was the interactions between ...more

Guardians of Fate is a seriously addicting page-turner of a story and should not be overlooked!
The story is exciting, the characters are witty and charming and let's not forget... down right sexy! GOF will keep you on the edge of your seat, waiting with anticipation to see what happens next.
The building tension and romance that ensues from Cassandra and another extremely HOT man (that shall remain nameless) will leave you breathless and wanting more (if I could bring him home and keep him for m
This was a good read with a lot of twists and turns. The premise of a Guardian of Fate, someone that can actually protect you from an untimely death, is very clever.
I craved more of the storyline of the Guardian's actual job. To hear some more heartfelt stories of how Cassandra saves innocent people. I have a feeling there will be a second book and I hope to read more about Cassandra, Hunter and Caleb.
Beware that there is some sex in this book and it made me blush! At first I would have pegged

Decent little urban fantasy with two hot demons fighting over a girl with her own supernatural issues. The love scenes nicely written and there was enough to the story that I look forward to the sequel.
Fangs for the Fantasy
Cassandra is a Guardian, her job is to save human souls. Demons, shadows, stalk humanity, targeting people, hunting them down and then killing them in perceived accidents, their souls then descend to sheol – hell – where they are enslaved as the demons prepare for their war against heaven.
Cassandra saves those souls, her visions guide her to the targeted humans and give her the chance to change things, to push the victim away from the crashing car, to pull them out of danger, to save them from t

I wasn't blown away but I thought Guardian of Fate was an overall enjoyable book.

The Good
I was drawn into this story straight away. Cassandra has had a rocky life. It is her responsibility to save the souls of people in her visions from the damnation of hell. But all of a sudden her visions are going haywire and two mystery men try to insert themselves into Cassie's life. One of those men, Hunter, has been a fixture in her dreams for years

“There was no doubt in my mind that the man next to me was the same one who had been in my visions for the last six years. He was real, and he was at Luke's buying a whiskey? I almost felt cheated. For so long, I wondered what this vision was all about, feeling that it held some deeper meaning I would someday grasp. Yet, here I was at some seedy bar and the man in my dreams shows up and orders a whiskey. Now what? Save him from dying of inebriation?” 5 likes
