What creative characters and an imaginative story line Wolfe has come up with! It is a delightful foray into the legends of Atlantis, King Arthur and the Faerie Kingdoms combined with past lives of the female lead. Jaguar shifters, a Starbourne, a master illusionist, a shaman, the fey, the Queen of Darkness, zombies, a medallion, a special doorway, a soul thief and a journey round out the story.
Mira, the female lead, has always just known things and has been able to tell how people felt. She mee...more

Mira has always felt like she doesn’t quite fit, and has always had a feeling like something is missing that should be there in her life. Then one night a mysterious old woman gives her a medallion and tells her that she must go to Denver, where she will find the four who will help her find the answers to all her questions. At first reluctant, she decides (after much prompting by her best friend) to take the journey – and discovers a whole new world. Mira is a Jaguar witch, one of an ancient blo...more
I admit that this book had me pretty lost. I liked the mystery of Mira Levine’s life, but it was almost TOO mysterious, as in by the end of book 1 in the series, I still had NO idea what was happening. I understood that it was all setting the reader up for book 2, but I don’t feel like I learned anything about the characters or the mystery surrounding them by the end of the four chapter book. It seemed too short for me, and when I finish a book, whether it be a series book, a novella, or a full...more
This must be the most inventive story I've read in a long time. I absolutely loved Mira because she's confident and feisty but with a feminine and alluring side to her. I thought the paranormal elements were fantastic and so very different to anything that's flooding the paranormal fiction market. The mystery of the medallion kept me at the edge of my seat. Can't wait to find out more about Mira's past lives and her connections to the men who've mysteriously entered her life.

Doorway to the Triquetra has a very interesting story line. Mira is not the run-of-the-mill person she thinks she is. As the synopsis states, she finds out, with the help of others, that she is the Jaguar Witch among many, many other people/things.
This story has your typical elements, mystery, the good guys and the bad guys, humor, love, anger, sadness... There is a lot going on from start to finish.
Why 3 stars instead of more... this is really hard. I wanted to absolutely love the book because...more

I have to say that I hardly ever give a book such a low rating, but this book, I couldn't even finish and I don't often give up on a book. First of all, i was turned off by the preachy 'forward' written by the book's editor. I understand that this book is fiction but also seems to be based off of the author's personal beliefs. Fine. But I don't need to read a long forward about it. I downloaded this book to enjoy the story and paranormal aspects. I am not against anyone's belief system, but this...more

May have slight spoilers.
In this novel we meet Mira, a normal woman if only she feels a little like something is missing in her life. I wished I could've like this novel, as it had an inventive idea behind the story of the medallion, but the entire writing style threw me for a loop.
The story was largely 'told' and not shown or directed from behind the narrative scenes. Often, I felt like a child, being given an over-lengthy explaination to each little detail.
Mira was a good start for a Heroine, but she faltered in her dialogue and actions.
There were spelling and grammatical errors thorugh-out.

Great read! This book goes back in time as to Atlantis, etc... The power and journey to overcome Douviex. He lead them through Fae where the ways are different. I love the Fae, shapeshifters Roman, Caesar, Micah and Lucious. Tons of power working together to defeat greed... With the combined power and knowledge all is won, now we head back to the life of Fae and humans living together in harmony, love and joy.
I feel guilty giving a bad review to a giveaway from an author, but i feel i should explain why i only gave it 2 stars. I am sure I would have enjoyed the story itself more had I not been constantly distracted by spelling errors, grammatically incorrect sentences, typos, missing words, incorrect use of commas etc. It wasn't proofread and I just couldn't get away from that.
Lots of imagination and knowledge of shamanic lore went into this novel, which is why I gave it 3 stars instead of 2. The writing needs to be tightened up, and edited. There are too many repetitive phrases and descriptions. The heroine, Mira, retained her incredulous and weak behavior too far into the story. Despite so much power and the experience of lifetimes behind her, she often came across like a cartoon character. Part of the problem might be the dialogue and overuse of Wha-at, etc. I didn...more
Doorway was a very intriguing book. I enjoyed the main charachter and her attempt to integrate past lives, and in doing so reconcile with lost loves and of course beat the villain. Her journey is a fascinating one and felt like a peek into another world. The story and the plot were great. There were several typos and errors as others have mentioned, but it was worth overlooking for the overall story. If you like magic and mythology and seeing these things put together in new ways, then read this...more
