I was honored when Tish Thawer asked if I would review her latest release in the Rose Trilogy. Roses and Thorns is a fast paced short story that should be read after Scent of a White Rose. This book focuses on Rose and Christian’s love story and fills in the blanks of how their romance began. I have lost count of all the things I love about this short story. The imagery she used to describe the tender relationship between Rose and her mother Loraine is breathtaking. It is truly heartwarming and...more

Roses & Thorns is the perfect follow up to the first book in the Rose Trilogy, Scent of a White Rose. In this short but heart-warming novella we get a deeper look into Rose and Christian's romance and how it all began. I love that we get both characters' perspectives on their developing romance and how each interacts within their family circles.

While Rose and Christian's love story touches your heart, the special bond between Rose and her mother Loraine is exceptionally touching. Tish really...more

I had the honor and the pleasure to be a part of the blog tour of the first book in this trilogy: Scent of a White Rose by Tish Thawer, a few months ago. I totally fell in love with the characters, the action, the writing style, the plot (was so awesome, like some special new twist at every turn, couldn't ask for more), the vampires (of course) and more specifically: Christian, who's a handsome gentlemen, sexy, yeah super-hot vampire. Gimme, Gimme! I really liked reading about a new kind of vamp...more

Totally loved this book!Loved the way the story just flowed.

The characters are so loveable,Christian the vampire,is just Dreamy.....Swoon Worthy even. The way he is so kind and caring towards the humans and toward Rose.Made you just melt at his every word.

Rose is only 20 but still living with her parents and going to collage. Her dad is over protective and I couldn't help but feel sorry for Rose. But Rose was still close to dad, something I respected. Her mother is a real sweetheart and her closeness...more

Really enjoyed reading the beginnings of Rose and Christians relationship!!!
Although this was pretty much a repeat from some parts of Scent of a White Rose with a little more story to go along with it, it was still a good quick read!

This was a good quick read. I usually dont like alot of backstory, and Tish did a great job of giving all the purtinent information you needed but not overpowering you with it.

I cant wait until May for the second Book.

I love this novella which follows book one, Scent of a White Rose by Tish Thawer. After being introduced to several characters in book one, you get to read about the relationship between heroine Rose and her mother. If you have read book one, you know what happened to Rose's mother so this peek into their former relationship is so bittersweet. The reader also gets to experience the first date between Rose and Christian which evolves into the beginning of their romance. This novella definitely an...more
