Long before reading : Must...resist..urge...to go on...rampage...over...publication...date...GAAAAAAAAH!!! *throws self-control out the window and goes on rampage with an ax screaming hysterically*

After reading: on a scale of 1 to 10, this book was epic! I loved it! It certainly did not disappoint! X-D

holy green lantern glowing Nick ,
the cover is glowing and blinding me! lol love it!

The world of the Dark-Hunters is unlike anything you’ve every seen before. It’s dark. It’s gritty. It’s dangerous…

And it’s a whole lot of fun and a lot of laughs.

My name is Nick Gautier and this is the story of my life.

First off, get the name right. It’s pronounced Go-shay not Go-tee-ay or Goat-chay (that has an extra H in it and as my mom says we’re so poor we couldn’t afford the extra letter). I’m not some fancy

Infamous, by Sherrilyn Kenyon pretty much says it all.. who needs to actually write a review? But I will try. When JK Rohling wrote Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, I hated it. It wasn’t because it was dark, I got that, it wasn’t poorly written, it wasn’t about the fact that the world was out to get Harry, No. It was about the fact that 15 year old Harry had a huge attitude. It took me forever to realize that it was the only realistic thing in the book. I had a 15 year old male child at t ...more

WOW, WOW, WOW!!! Another awesome book by Sherrilyn Kenyon. I have been waiting for this one since Invincible and it was so worth it. Nick continues to grow but never losing his hilarious cajun roots. I was literally laughing out loud on serveral occasions, which was not good because I was at working listening to the audiobook. Are you trying to get me fired Ms. Kenyon? And the cliffhanger at the end. OMG! I won't spoil it for those who haven't finished it, but it is going to be a shocker. I didn ...more

"You Nick, are infamous in our world. Everyone wants the bounty on your head. But they know what they're up against; the power you contain and are learning to use. Your father though, well, he just wants your head..." Love Grimm (aka: Death)

Nicky-Boo, I adore you! On to book 4 right now...whoop!!!

Nick Gautier is back, and with him we finally get some answers --as well as some more questions. I'm happy to report that Nick is finally a year older, but at 15 he is basically a blend of immaturity and melodrama which takes center stage over the latest threat to his life.

Someone is spreading terrible rumors about the kids at Nick's school, pushing tension levels through the roof. Some of the students are devastated; others become bigger bullies than ever. Nick makes it his mission to discover

Reading this book, I found a new side of myself that I honestly never thought existed. Now, before you think I mean that in a good way, stop. I bought this book the day it came out. I was first in line for it. I read it in one day and it took me until today to write the review because I just could not trust myself not to blow up in fury.

Never in my whole existence have I EVER wanted to reach into a book, wrap my hands around the neck of a fictional character and squeeze. I have never felt so fu

There are distinct comparison from an emotionally-draining read to emotionally-tugging read. I think Infamous had pulled the latter best. This is a heartfelt read, even when you read crazy things like demons possessing people or crazy rich billionaire heir who worked as busboy.Yes, its in this one book that I claimed to be heartfelt. It is because it caught me at times when I least suspected. The vulnerable part of emotions being portrayed by the casts; Nick, and espe

If I could I would give this book 4.5 since I am a hardcore Kenyon fan and I did love this book. However, while there were many pros, there were some cons as well.

Pros:

- The story was wonderfully fast-paced and action packed. It was also as intricate and mysterious as all her books. I don't know how that woman stores so much in her brain, but she is a spectacular story teller.

- The dialogue was hilarious, relatable and full of depth and meaning all at once. Kenyon truly understands emotions and

Nick Gautier's life becomes more complicated and unbelievable as he realizes he has the potential to become the most evil and destructive creature in the universe. And a few months ago, all he thought he had to worry about was disappointing his mom, wearing tacky shirts and getting beat up at school. Will he be able to keep hold of his humanity or will he lose it all?

Infamous is the third installment in the Chronicles of Nick series and finally we are getting to some good stuff. That's not to say that I didn't have problems with this book, because I did but I'll get to that later.

Someone is causing problems at the school spreading horrible rumors and photo shopping things to make them look real and kids are going nuts. The complaint I had with this is I felt it went a bit far as almost everyone was believing them and some of the victims were co

This is Kenyon's third installment of the series Chronicles of Nick and just like her latest book, I did not enjoy this one at all. It lacked good action and her characters are not interesting anymore.

Nick: Nick (older, DH version) is more interesting than this kid who keeps on getting grounded by his mom. This Nick is just a high-school kid going through puberty and learning about the DH world. Some people may like this Nick series, but I don't because I just don't find the kid version of him i

*Sob* Yes, I'm a big baby, this made me cry...a lot. I have a son, he's almost 11, he's my world. When I see the relationship between Nick and his mom, it warms my heart. Yes, there are wonderful children out there, like Nick. I have one. One with a big heart, old soul, and respectful of others.

Now, my opinion...This is a fantastic series and every teen should read it. It's a paranormal story with vampires, demons, and other preternatural creatures, but also deals with a lot of the issues kids f

I can't even begin to describe how much I loved this book. It is young adult technically but there are so many spots that really hit me as thought provokingly amazing that I see no reason why fans of the Dark-Hunter series wouldn't also enjoy this series. I've only read about 10 of the books in the adult series, it is hard to catch up when there are 20+ books, but I have enjoyed them and enjoy this YA series even more. There were a lot of great moments but the one that made me laugh the most was ...more

Did someone swap out the Ms. Kenyon I've been dutifully following? I did not like this book at all. This book was a hot mess for me. Or perhaps this is how it supposed to be since it's a young adult book. If this is what young adult books are supposed to be like, then it's a damn good thing I never had books like this when I was a young adult.

The characters

In this timeline, Cherise is a cunt. There is no other word for her. She also needs to see a shrink because she's obviously bi-polar and also

This is the most amazing book ever!!!! It's the third book in the Nick Chronical series and is the the best so far. Nick faces all the troubles of school, like his teacher, the principle, Stone, things trying to kill him, and a website posted for the whole school to see that attacks alot of kids including Nick and his friend Briana. He has to go to court because he is accused of rape and also has to save Briana from suicide. On top of that he finds a deep secret about his girlfriend Kody that ma ...more

Poooooor fin, terminado...

Nicky Nicky! I have one thing to tell you 'I LOVE YOU'!
I love reading about Boo, he is one of my favourites characters ever and I really want to know what is going to happen in this saga, I really hope Cherise doesn't die. And I finally decided that I like Nekoda and I LOVE Caleb!!! :D

And Bubba asdfghjkl I love him! He can't die :)

Oh almost forgot, every time Ash appears I start fangirling !! He is another of my favourite characters of ALL TIME

Inferno is waiting for me!

From stopping zombies from eating his classmates to learning that he will grow up to bring nothing but pain and misery to those he loves, 15 year old Nick Gautier can't seem to catch a break. Dark and ancient forces have begun to circle and if he doesn't learn to use his powers to defend himself soon, he'll be dead before he's old enough to go on his first date. Unfortunately for him, that's not his only problem. Vicious rumors about his fellow classmates start spreading around school and he nee ...more

What to say, what to say?
While I absolutely idolise Kenyon and her God given talent for creating a world I desperately want to be a part of, I’m not so sure I loved Infamous as much as I should have.

There were definitely some parts in the story that left me baffled and turning back pages to see if I’d somehow missed a chunk of it. But no, I’d just stumbled across a piece where it was so jumpy and sketchy it took a few seconds to make sense of everything.

But wait, I’m getting ahead of myself here

Again the story line is interesting and strong. I wish the dialogue were elevated a bit more, I think our youth can read better than we give them credit for (think Hunger games, or even harry potter). But what really bothered me in this book were two things. First, like the first book there were many microaggressions of homosexuality. The male characters can show each other any form of attention other than aggression without needing a homophobic remark to prove they weren't coming on to one anot ...more

I give this book 5 stars.
When I first started this book, I had feared that the storyline/characters had gone backwards in their development, a sort of reverse character/plot arc. The events that started to take place, the characters responses to those events had me wondering what was going on and if I would keep reading this book.
BUT... the author was using these set backs as a way to build to an amazing twist.
I am very impressed with this book. It has raised my opinion of Sherrilyn Kenyon and

I am such a huge fan of SK work- especially her DH and CON series. This one ended w/ such a cliff hanger I wanted to cry. I listened to the audiobook and I actually rewound it to see if I missed something. I didn't. ugh- I can't wait for the next one to come out. Ok and I am curious how this is going to work into the overall DH universe. Everything is so different from what happened in the entire DH series up until this point.

Random question- why doesn't nick just tell ash what he is? Wouldn't t

The books in the Chronicles of Nick series are so addictive. As soon as I finish one, I want to read the next book! Sadly, after finishing Infamous I realised that book four, Inferno, won’t be out for a while. It’s going to be a long wait!

Infamous started with Nick finding out that Ambrose was actually his future self and the whole scene between the two of them was hilarious. Nick could make a joke out of anything – even serious matters such as becoming the reason for the end of the world. And f

This is the third book in the "Cronicles of Nick" and you probably need to read it if you want to continue the series. I honestly consider to wait with the next books a few years. Why?

Because it gets more and more confusing, Nick gets mobbed, nagged and beaten several times. He meets more supernatural beings and his mom is my new favorite "hate" person. Seriously? Nick would be much better of with her. I can't even expres how much her behaviour annoyed me. If not for the excelent narrator (yes,
