Big Book Little Book

Ok time to ‘fess up. In our house we are definitely fans of the googly eyes. Any craft activity which involves the stick on variety is always a winner! So it is fair to say the Love Monster had an unfair advantage of securing a place in our hearts and on our book shelf when it unexpectedly landed on our door mat.

Love monster is in the uncomfortable position of being the only monster in a world full of cute and fluffy beings. Feeling unloved, Love monster decides to take matters in to his own ha...more

Love Monster is such a lovely little book, we really loved reading it.

Monster is a little bit different, he's not cute and fluffy, and living in Cutesville that can be pretty tough. He is unloved, so he goes in search of someone to love him, for just being himself. He searches high and low, with no luck. I just wanted to pick this lonely little fellow up an give him a big hug. But in the end love finds him, when he least expects it.

The illustrations in this book are wonderful, they are bold, br...more

One of the most charming books I’ve read in a while! We follow a small hairy monster, the only monster in fact in Cutesville, who sets out to find his perfect match. He looks here, there, high and low, but just as he’s about to give up he finally meets the monster of his dreams!

So cute you could put bows on it, the illustrations in this are just brilliant. It’s nice and short and very simple with text that waves across the page. My especial favourite is the page where Monster is looking through...more

charming children's book all about a romantically inclined, lumpy red fuzzy thing, does this work perhaps have an pro-ginger subtext? probably not but its nice none the less, though the writing itself does not rise to the height of the art, which is good enough for adults to enjoy along with children, particularly if they're fans of the mighty boosh.

My 1 year old loves the pictures and its doesn't have too many words so he doesn't get bored! I enjoyed the story, really sweet.
