I really enjoyed this story about a girl who learns she's a shapeshifter and how to deal with it.

What was immediately refreshing with Change, is that Melissa Stevens is very adamant that this is a novel about shape-shifts not werewolves. Don't get me wrong, I love werewolves, but I really liked that this book was based on a race of shifters who are in control of their actions, behaviour and thoughts, and are not simply driven by the moon.

I have to say that I can't believe I've had this novel on my kindle for over a year and it took me this long to get to it. Melissa has done a great job of introducing us to the Kitsune, a shapeshifting community that lives among us. These aren't the 'howl at the moon and turn into beasts' kinda wolves either. They are smart and aware in whatever form they happen to be in, which was nice. I do have to admit that the start was a bit slow, but it picked up and I had a great time reading it. I'm loo...more
