Hot, sexy and marvelously written.
First I have to say that this book kept coming up on my Amazon recommended list, and even though I liked the cover (yes, I am one of those people, who first judge a book by the cover), I wasn’t sure if I wanted to read another, fairy-warlock-vampire love triangle. Now, I am so glad that I did.

This is a very entertaining read. Those that have given poor ratings have missed the point of the book. This is a light, funny, engaging, and sexy book. The main character, Karli Lane, is cute, funny, and perhaps a little ditzy at times, but then she's very young and going through a hormonal and seemingly cellular change that no mere human could possibly understand. I picked this book up because of an interesting summary and I got very disappointed. I've read the whole thing, though after first several pages I was ready to leave it. Main character is not only naive and incredibly annoying, her actions are often pretty stupid and completely inexplicable from a logical viewpoint (example: vampires decimated my race. Let's hook up with one without even a hint of hesitation!), and the secondary characters are not much better. Mr. Lee's writing also leaves much...more
This was an entertaining read. I normally go a bit more heavy on the strong willed, kick butt heroines but this was a welcome change of pace. I really enjoyed the tension between the protagonist and her "beaus". But the immediate intimacy between near strangers threw me for a loop. A history of this, a little comedy and a little yellow, and there has been suspanse, mystery, action., It sex, in fact, Karli is equally attracted by the vampire detective but also by the beautiful scenes and you see them together are exciting and intense. What a cute book!! I read this in one sitting and was quickly texting all my friends to have them pick it up.

I think this was a great first book in what promises to be a very cute series.
However, I wish I would have been warned that this book contained so much language and sexual tension/situations. I almost stopped reading it just because it opens with such vulgarity between the two friends.
I do think the author could have mellowed down some of the scenes and still created a really good story.
I did really like the storyline and characters and that kept me reading it.

I loved this book. I could not put it down. I got sucked into the story right away and couldn't stop reading. The characters were sexy and funny. I loved the chemistry between them. They loved to hate each other but depended on each other even when they didn't want to. Over all I just can't wait for the next book.
I really loved this book. It was VERY similar to Dulcie O'Neil but it had a few different twists. I enjoyed the romance and mystery in this book. I can't wait for more from this author.
I enjoyed this book, but Karli is really having a problem deciding which hot man she wants Vance or Leo. Wish I had that problem. It's also a who done it. Girls turning up dead half eaten with no

I enjoyed it very much. Seems to be a cross between HP Mallory and Janet Evanovich. Two men stuck on one woman. Will be interesting where she takes it from here.

Very predictable and similar to H.P. Mallory (not sure who came first). BUT... story is different and I still enjoyed the characters and plot.
This was a fun, quick read. I got exactly what I expected to get out of it. I am a sucker for a sexy vampire so Leo was obviously my favorite character.

Downloaded sample to read (sounds a lot like H.P. Mallory's Dulcie O'Neil series so am hoping original and not a ripoff)
Absolutely loved this book! I can not wait for book 2 to come out!! The characters are amazing. You get sucked right into this story. I highly recommend this read!
REALLY got tired of the characters NEVER finishing a converstation! I found the book to be frustrating.
After finishing, I had to repeat the good parts. Satisfying if you need a quick fix for fantasy and romance. What I didn't like, though, was Karli's on-and-off relationship with Leo and Vance. I mean, settle down! One is enough. Either way, it was good. Am waiting for the next book.

This was okay. A nice quick read with a decent enough story to serve as a diversion. It did interest me enough to want to read more of Laura Lee's work.
Just loved it!
So much fun!!! Glad I took the time to read!!!
