I thoroughly enjoyed this book A Pirate's Journey in which Douglas Williams writes Hank Foiles life story as told by Hank. Hank Foiles was a major league catcher. This book tells his life story from his early days in elementary school until his later years. Hank tells so many wonderful stories about his struggles from the minor leagues to the major leagues, people he met along life's way (some good and some not-so-good), glimpses into what it was like to be born during the Great Depression and ...more
