A very quick and easy-to-read story about one family's trials and successes in the world of autism. This book would be great for families new to the world of special education, IEPs, etc. Much encouragement is given for advocating for your child, thinking outside the box, making frequent observations at school, etc.

I like the way the author recaps the chapters with the words to the parent to do - yes to make an action step. She also lists web sites for each chapter for more information. This mom really got involved with the schools and IEPs. At times I wonder if she didn't get too involved for the sake of the child, but it worked and made for more successes.
