You can read my review of Marked and also enter its two giveaways on my blog artsy musings of a bibliophile .

Before I say anything about Marked, I would like to admit that I don't like werewolves as much as I like other paranormal creatures like vampires, witches, revenants or zombies. That being said, reading Marked totally changed my view of werewolves. They are nothing short of awesomeness and Marked showed me exactly how much!

I adore Tessa Morganton, she is the embodiment of impulsiveness,...more

This book is just the type of book i like to read.

It starts off a bit confusing with Tessa working in a small diner with her best friend Rachel, her very insucure boyfirend Sam sits at a nearby table and soon walks in Jace...

Tessa starts to date jace and breaks up with sam and soon she finds out what Jace is and what she has become.

There is a lot more to the story and i would userally write about it all, But with marked it just feels like the more of a surprise you get the better ! ;)

I would r...more

I enjoyed this book and I will most likely read the next book in the series. The author made it so that this book could almost be a stand alone, but we know that the story is only beginning. In all honesty there was nothing about the book that wowed me and made me want to continue reading it. So, I would say for me that it is average and that doesn't mean that the book is bad. The book isn't bad at all, and I would recommend it if you're into books about werewolves. It's a quick and simple read,...more

Tessa Morganton is working with her best friend, Rachel, at a diner and sees a newcomer to her town. Unfortunately, her boyfriend, Sam, notices and starts acting like a jerk. Apparently, Jace, the newcomer, hears the outburst and asks if Sam is bothering her.
This isn’t the last time she sees Jace.

Rachel convinces Tessa to get him to buy them tequila, and instead of getting Tessa to pay him with money, he wants to go out with her, knowing that she has a boyfriend. She agrees and finds herself li...more

heart flip-flop. Language is delivered with ease and focuses more on content than on particulars of structure. There is definitely a lyrical placement of words; I was tempted to speak them as I was reading because they would just roll right off. The book also has good pace, it glides you through all the events and minutae to arrive at a complete picture, and then it takes the picture further through yet another cycle of important minutae.

Oh, Jace. This character is so well created it made ME cr...more

I found this werewolf story interesting, as it followed the traditional take on the werewolf myth. The idea that they turn into wolves during the night of a full moon.I haven’t read a story in a long time that actually followed the myth. It was a draw that made me love and enjoy the book.

This story centers around a girl name Tessa, and how she meets a guy named Jace at the diner she works at. Even though she has a boyfriend already (though she’s planning to break up with him), she agrees to go o...more

I read Marked and Changed back to back so it is going to be a little bit hard for me to distinguish between the two books but I will do my best. It helps that there is a very clear turning point between the two. Let's start with that. I LOVED that Marked did not end with a cliff-hanger. It ended in the perfect spot in my opinion- something big had happened a few chapters back and Tessa was just starting to deal with the reprecussions. It left you read to read the next book but not in the crazy w...more

This book was well written. I really loved the story line and was able to fall in love with the characters. The author was able to draw you in and take you on a journey.

I’ll be honest, my expectations going into this book weren’t high. I thought it would be a quick read while I was waiting for another book to come out. I wasn’t even sure if I’d finish it. But, boy was I wrong! I REALLY enjoyed it. It’s not a book full of action, or high drama, its character based. This book is one of those simple little stories that you can just get lost in for a while. I found myself really liking the characters, both the protagonist and the love interest, as well as the rest...more

So, marked....
I read it in a few hours, its the 4th book I started in one day, but the only one I made to the end...having said that, I'm not sure i'll read the next book...it's not that Marked was bad....it was just very passive....very low key, non exciting....only a couple steps away from boring....nothing even happens till well past the 50% mark. And ...okay, this is sorta spoiler ish, so I'll use the tags. (view spoiler)[ the h starts off with someone who isn't the hero...and she ends up ch...more

I loved this book!!! The book really had me going. I stayed up a whole SCHOOL NIGHT just to finish it. Though my parents didn't like that I was crabby in the morning, the book was worth it. My favorite character is Jace. I mean he's a werewolf, hot and also he's super awesome and kind and he cares a lot. When I saw that the second book had come out I almost screamed. I loved the first one and was angry that she left the 1st book the way that she did, but I'm happy-like super, atomicly happy- to...more

The first book starts with Tessa who works in a local diner, is in high school and is a normal girl, with a normal family-or so she thought. One day, while working in her diner, and her boyfriend being quite rude, a stranger walks in, and he is GORGEOUS! He’s sweet, and beautiful, and her boyfriend totally loses it just by her waiting on him. I will tell you right off, I was NOT a fan of her BF, but I WAS a fan of Jace. And I do really like her best friend, Rachel. So, that how she sees him. The...more

Waaaaay better than The Mayfair Moon which I read before this. Sam was a controlling dickwad, BFF Rachael was the perfect antithesis for good girl Tess, and Jace....well I have few words for you Jace. Not cool man, so not cool everybody deserves the right to chose their path in life and while your reasons for what you did stem from LOVE damn give Tess some credit. Yeah Jace is hot and he did stand up for Tess when dickhead was well..... being a dick, Jace couldn't find a little time to explain t...more

All I can say abou this book is that Jace is an @sshole
I really liked the Tessa and her reactions are true and that of a strong woman. She gets that Jace has been unfair, sneaky and underhanded but she accepts that she wants him and moves past it. I just cant get over how selfish Jace is...... he took her choices away

I haven't heard much about this book so didn't really know much about the story line. I'm so glad I got it! Feel in love with the story line and the different take on the werewolf. Fell in love with JACE, can't wait for book two. Does anyone know when it comes out?

Marked was a good start to a new YA werewolf series. It was wonderfully paced and consistent the whole way till the end! I had no desire to sit the book down at any point.

The main character is Tessa a seventeen year old with a jerk of a boyfriend. She soon wises up and replaces him with Jace. She doesn't know it but Jace is a werewolf. We follow along as Tessa and Jace's relationship continues to grow.

You will find a sweet romance, action and mystery between the pages of this book. You will not...more

I really don't understand why this book is so underrated, maybe more people need to read it? Regardless, I really liked the story. I got into it immediately. I appreciate that the main characters didn't immediately start the I love you's despite the instant connection. I don't think I found anything about it that i didn't like. I am, however, sad that it ended so ubruptly. I look forward to reading book 2!

This book kind of reminds of house of night marked..:D but it's really way different, I just read the book review before I enter this giveaway and thought it was awesome..:)

Tessa is a high school senior, about to turn 18 and graduate, and in a less than satisfying relationship with a guy from school. When Jace walks in to the diner where Tessa and her best friend, Rachel, work, the attraction is immediate and mutual. However, dumping the abusive Sam for the mysterious Jace may not be the best move Tessa could have made. Regardless, her life is about to change forever.

I won this book in a Goodreads giveaway, and I enjoyed reading it. I was a little disappointed, tho...more

I can't remember how I found this book, but I have to say I am quite pleased I did. Who doesn't like werewolves?

It wasn't that exciting for me, especially the Jace-Tessa relationship. Sorry, author.

I loved it! And cannot wait for the 2nd one to come out!

I was pleasantly surprised by these books and really enjoyed them. I devoured them in just a few short days, and I was definitely sad to say goodbye to that world. (It's a duology, so sadly no more Tessa and Jace for me.)

It's definitely YA and a little "schooly," but Tessa was a great main character. It took a while for the paranormal stuff to kick in (about 75% into the first book), but it really took off after that point. Definitely a fun read for me.
Jules
Would have been four stars but I could not stand that she just got over what was done to her at the end of the book. Umm, no! Someone takes away my choice about how the rest of my life will turn out when its not absolutely necessary to do so that way and I don't think I would be so easy to forgive and forget.
Kaitlynne
Okay, I really liked the characters, especially JACE! (how can you not love someone named Jace, hmmm?) and the story line was great. At times it seemed a little rushed, but it wasn't enough to make me dislike anything, now I just have to wait to get my hands on the next book in the series.

I really like this story, I am a huge fan of werewolves/vampire stories. This is well written and catches your interest right away.

Just a couple things, not a fan of cheating and the story was not very long. I did download book 2 as soon as I finished though :)
