Now that things are over between Ash and Sawyer, Lana visits, hoping to finally catch Sawyer's eye.

Remember prim, proper, and polite Sawyer from The Vincent Boys, with all his polite and chaste kisses for Ash? Well after Ashton breaks up with him to be with Beau, Sawyer goes through a bit of a change. When Sawyer catches sight of Lana, he's beside himself. Was Lana always this sexy and tempting? And why should he resist now that Ash has broken up and moved on? A new plan of distraction and fun forms in Sawyer's head, and if Ash is jealous, well that's just a fringe benefit. (jerk!) Lana brings out in Sawyer what Ash never did. She stirs up overpowering feelings and desires he never knew he had. Here's a sample of what Lana does to Sawyer:

Sawyer:"You think I'm a better choice than Beau? He's the bad one, you know. The dangerous one. Girls like bad boys."-----I shivered as he took another step closer, his eyes never leaving their study of my lips……Forcing myself to remain calm, I responded, "Not all girls." "Hmmm…" He raised his hand and gently ran the pad of his thumb over my bottom lip. I mentally imagined biting his thumb and pulling it into my mouth to suck but I didn't. Instead, I just stopped breathing. "They are as soft as they look….maybe softer," he whispered, then he lowered his head and before I could take a calming breath his mouth was on mine.

*Faints*

What starts out as no more than a distraction in Sawyer's mind, quickly turns into something else, something more. Oh my!! Sawyer is far from perfect in this story and he screws up a number of times. I wanted to smack some sense into that boy, but turns out I didn't have to. With every stupid action he makes, he counters it with a heart-stopping, sweet and loving one. Sawyer notices that Lana is closed off and doesn't easily confide in people, and he wants to be the one she confides in, the one who comforts and protects her. So much for just a summer distraction!

Even though I couldn't help but fall for Sawyer, Lana is the one that steals my heart in this story. She is so sweet, understanding, and innocent. Never bitter, even though in my opinion, she has reason to be. Lana having to hear and deal with her parent's messy divorce, broke my heart. They cared more about themselves than her well being. No child should be put in the middle of bickering parents. Don't even get me started on the Dad! He failed Lana miserably! Ugh!! To me, she should've been angry with Ash a couple of times, but she never blamed her.

I was a little afraid to read this because I loved The Vincent Boys so much, I didn't want anything to mess with Beau and Ash's story. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that I loved this story as much, or maybe even a bit more than The Vincent Boys. I didn't think I could love Sawyer as much as Beau, but I was wrong. As an added bonus we get a perfect epilogue that make you sigh and go awww. Abbi Glines also posted a extra bonus scene, you can find it on her blog here. After speaking with some friends, I decided to come back and revise some of my extreme ranting and raise my rating to a solid 3 star. I thought this finally might have been the book from Glines that would get me to go up to a 4 star rating but *insert fist shake at the heavens* the last 75 pages or so...sigh. No go.

My conclusion after finishing this book: My most favorite of all Abbi Glines books!!! I loved this! I love Sawyer, I love Lana, I love Beau and Ash, I love the ending. In short I love every-freaking-thing. I laughed, cried, swooned and swooned and swooned and yeah, definitely swooned.

Abbi Glines's books give off this feeling that get me this sh*t-eating grin on my face that never got off even after I finished the book and had me giddy the entire time. And yes, The Vincent Brothers did...more 4.5 stars

Sawyer's character didn't really strike me anything when I first met him in The Vincent Boys, in fact I thought he was boring and dull. BUT, six months later I realized I was so so wrong. This boy was never a bore and this time his character did actually strike me. Hard. And boy did I fell in love.

Sawyer definitely took me by surprise by a lot of things. First, of course, by this sexy and flirty side of him; then him being so sweet and caring to someone other than Ash; and there was also this jerk side of him which really annoyed me. I love how his character changed and developed throughout the entire story and as he realized that he could get over his heartbreak over Ash and care and fall in love to someone who's not her.

Lana was a very strong and sweet girl. And I just simply adore her. She was so nice and understanding that you would definitely be angry when someone hurt her. With all she'd been through it was hard not to have this protective feeling over her, even from Sawyer. But I was glad that she was the one who punch some sense to him. I also loved the idea of her getting out of her shell and did herself a make over. She was never oblivious of her beauty and charm yet she remained so nice and down to earth.

This was the book that made me least frustrated and worried when it came with the dramas and conflicts from all the books of Abbi Glines I've read. That's probably why this became my most favorite. It was surprisingly easy and it covered every aspect it should have covered without getting too dramatic.

So to conclude, this was a very enjoyable, sweet and steamy read. I had so much fun reading this. I loved Sawyer and Lana's chemistry and of course, those sweet, swoon-worthy, hot and steamy moments between them that I am sure most of you will enjoy. Abbi Glines offered a very wonderful epilogue too that left me utterly satisfied with this series. I highly recommend this! Read this! :)

From my newest critique partner Abbi. For those of you into alpha's you're going to LOVE this. Abbie delivers from the very beginning and continued through the very end. Sawyer is one hot sexy alpha through and through and my goodness I did not think I could fall any more in love with Beau than I had in The Vincent Boys but *sigh*. Oh Dear Lord! In The Vincent Boys I fell hard for Beau Vincent and now, in The Vincent Brothers I’ve now fallen hard for Sawyer Vincent, and I can’t help ask myself, how the hell is it possible to love them both just as much? Abbi Glines really has out done herself with this book because if anything, I loved Sawyer’s story even more than Beau’s.
Sawyer’s and Lana’s story is so heart-breaking and so good at the same time that I couldn’t help shed a few tears. I adored this story and I’m not sorry...more

I strongly disliked the first in the series and I felt maybe I was just too old for the YA drama but I actually really liked this one. Such a sweet epilogue and Lana was a sweet little cutie pie. Remember those day of wanting someone but he was mooning over someone else. (ahhh, those days;p) Now, Sawyer had me all over the place. Loved him one moment then despised him for using poor Lana. I have to admit that The Vincent Boys novels weren't on my radar of books I desperately needed to read. But then I got my hands on copies of both and decided, Why not? Once that happened I couldn't stop reading, and it ended up being a fun and enjoyable read for me. I was pleasantly surprised.

Needless to say I was super pumped and VERY curious about the second book The Vincent Brothers. Actually even before finishing The Vincent Boys, I had this strange desire to read it and had a feeling that I would like it more than its predecessor. Characters like Lana, who was introduced in the first novel, are ones that I always find myself rooting for. She was the underdog. A sweet girl with a huge crush on a guy who never seemed to notice her and was in love with someone else. I wanted to know how she would win Sawyer's heart. With the way The Vincent Boys ended, it almost seemed like it would be a piece of cake! I seriously was not prepared for what happened in The Vincent Brothers.

Sawyer left an impression in the previous novel but not a big one. He was the good, perfect boy. While I tend to like the nice guy, Sawyer seemed a bit too perfect. It was like he was hiding behind a facade. I felt that what happened between him and Ashton and Beau really gave him a chance to bring out his personality. He wasn't as clueless as he appeared to be, nor was he always a nice person. He could get angry and feel just as strongly as everyone else. I was still shocked when I began reading The Vincent Brothers though. After six months, I thought he would surely be over Ashton, but he was a lot more angrier and bitter. The way he acted towards Beau and Ashton's relationship and how he treated Lana (thankfully she knows how to stick up for herself!) in some instances made me wish someone would kick his ass. But I have to say that it made him a much more complex and interesting character, which is something I like to find in characters.

Ashton and Beau have a hot relationship, but the romance between Lana and Sawyer... It was SIZZLING! It was definitely more amped up compared to the first book. And Sawyer may not be as experienced as Beau, but man, does he learn quickly! Lana and Sawyer's chemistry was off the charts, and even though Sawyer wasn't quite over Ashton, it was clear just how much he wanted Lana. I was seriously fanning myself at some parts and felt like passing out over how extremely hot it got. Their moments together were my favorite in the book. I couldn't get enough of them. I just loved it! And I would totally go on and on about them, but I don't want to spoil it all for those who haven't read it yet.

The Vincent Brothers was a guilty pleasure read for me. It was completely addicting! I was hooked from the very beginning and stayed up long past my bedtime to finish it. I'm surprised by how much I adored this book and so very glad I gave it a chance. Lana and Sawyer were awesome characters, the story was fast-paced and intriguing, and the drama surprisingly gave it depth. It was enjoyable and fun, and honestly I wish it didn't have to end! If you love contemporaries with HOT romance and a lot of drama, I recommend you check out The Vincent Boys and The Vincent Brothers!(less)

It’s over, I’m so sad! :( I’m going to miss the amazing Vincent Boys. I wasn’t sure if I would like The Vincent Brothers, since it was Lana and Sawyers story. I loved it! Who knew Sawyer had a little bad boy in him? There were a couple of yummy Sawyer scenes I needed an industrial fan to cool myself off with. :) I always thought Sawyer and Lana would be perfect for each other and they are. I’m REALLY going to miss this series and these characters. Also the epilogue was perfect!

Another great one from Abbie Glines. This book was more slow and sweet, while The Vincent Boys was angsty and hot. It goes to show the difference between the Vincent brothers.

Vincent Boys was one of my all-time favorite stories, I fell in love with Beau and just couldn't get enough of him and Ash!! I wasn't sure how I'd feel with the sequel because I knew it was Sawyer's story. It must be a very daunting task for a writer to take a character that you purposefully made somewhat 'expendable' relationship-wise in one book to suddenly be a heartthrob in the sequel....more Okay, so this was one of my most highly anticipated books for the year, and I'm SO glad it's finally out!! Vincent Boys was one of my all-time favorite stories, I fell in love with Beau and just couldn't get enough of him and Ash!! I wasn't sure how I'd feel with the sequel because I knew it was Sawyer's story. It must be a very daunting task for a writer to take a character that you purposefully made somewhat 'expendable' relationship-wise in one book to suddenly be a heartthrob in the sequel. That's kind of how I felt about Sawyer; he was sweet and lovable, but Beau's sexy, cocky, bad-boy personality just blew right through him for me! But Abbi nailed it in Vincent Brothers, creating another side to Sawyer that I never saw coming and very much enjoyed!! Oh, and the added bonus of seeing Beau and Ash happy and unable to keep their hands off each other... =)

Sawyer is still pretty hung up on Ash this time around, but he's trying so hard to get past it all. Enter Ash's cousin Lana! When he sees Lana and realizes that the plain Jane is now a foxy lady, I just loved his reaction!! He practically molests her with his stare, much to her delight. =) The fact that Lana had loved him for years and never thought she'd have a chance b/c of Ash really brought their story full-circle. After we learn more about Lana's family and what she puts up with, my heart just broke for her when she had to deal with Sawyer's behavior. Her feelings are so hurt by his selfish comments and inability to stay out of Ash's problems, and it was so crushing every time he makes her feel unwanted!! God, this poor girl just could not catch a break, and I wanted to slap Sawyer and shake Ash for not stopping to think about her. Of course, Sawyer was hurting too, and having to be around Ash all of the time without being the one she goes to still felt wrong after so many years. It was like they were stuck in this whirlpool and Sawyer couldn't drag himself out of it to see what he had right in front of him with Lana.

Sawyer's behavior wasn't the only thing that changed for Vincent Brothers, and boy was that a pleasant surprise!! He was such the 'good boy' in VB that I was never expecting the dirty little mind this boy has grown into!! It's not easy to make a virgin, straight-laced character suddenly be oozing in sex appeal, but boy was I ever fanning myself over Sawyer!! He's definitely moved past his shyness about going farther than first base, and he and Lana have some serious sexual tension going on! Whew!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, I absolutely loved having more time with my Vincent boys!! Seeing Sawyer's side was an awesome way to wrap up their story, too, and he and Lana were just perfect for each other. It was like Lana was just what Sawyer needed to finally move on, and he made her become the strong woman she needed to be. This was a sweet, hot, heart-pounding, fun story and I just wish I didn't have to say goodbye to my boys!! I loved the way it all wrapped up in the epilogue, though, it was a beautiful ending to their journey!!(less)

Another fun and dramatic journey into the lives of those sexy Vincent boys. Once again, the perspectives alternate between the two main characters and I really enjoyed this aspect of the story. Abbi's signature moves were all intact: bad boy with a good heart, plenty of drama, easy-to-love characters, and some smoking hot chemistry! I did enjoy this installment, however, it didn't quite approach my intense love of the first book.

Lana, my heart wept for you. Such a trying time in your life. Lana, who has held herself together and never complained about her life finds herself wanting to open up to Sawyer. She has spent her entire life playing second best to everyone and now in The Vincent Brothers it is time for her to take centre stage. I was cheering her on the whole way. Never once did I think she would fail. Lana is a girl who has been overlooked one too many times. Now with a makeover and a boost in self confidence she cuts herself a path leading right to Sawyer Vincent. This boy had no idea what is about to hit him. I loved how she decided to go after what she wanted, and wow did she win in the end.

Sawyer plays a different role in The Vincent Brothers compared to The Vincent Boys. In the first one you can't help but feel sorry for him, he is the victim after all. But deep down I never really believed that he loved Ash the way he should. He was just a boy who really didn't know what he wanted. Now that he has matured with the breakup of him and Ash he is finally seeing other possibilities. Yeah I can say there are moments in the book when I wanted to smack him in the head with my Kindle but alas I resisted and kept reading. But I was equally as annoyed at Ash for her stupidity, sometimes people just don't think and unfortunately others get hurt because of it. In the end I am totally TEAM SAWYER!

I loved the story Abbi has written, she is just amazing. Yes, I'm gushing again about Ms. Glines, but I can't help it. She is just THAT good! The Vincent Brothers had a good story with characters you just have to love. The Sexy scenes were hotter than hot, seriously they almost melted my e-reader. The combination of sexy Sawyer, luscious Lana, their romance and "those" scenes made for one steamy read. I loved everything about it. Once again Abbi has done it. Grab a copy, trust me, you know you want to.

I mean... come on.... did we expect anything less than FIVE stars?!?!

If you did...well, clearly you haven’t read the first book, The Vincent Boys. And clearly, you haven’t discovered the yumminess that is... Vincent Boys..

Like a druggie that needed a fix, I waited impatiently for this book. I took any teaser, tidbit, info on this book and absorbed it like a freakin’ sponge.
But today... all was well in BookUniverse because Ms.Glines released The Vincent Brothers.

Oh sweet baby jesus, Abbi Glines has done it again.

I admit it...I was utterly obsessed with Beau. Handsdown...he was as sexy as those 'Bama boys come! And Sawyer was an untight jerk right? Well, thank you Abbie Glines for proving THAT theory wrong. I loved this book! Everything about it was AWESOME! I laughed, I cried, I screamed, and everything in between! I read it from start to finish in one evening! I just could not put it down! Dare I say it...for me this was better than the The Vincent Boys!!!!

Yes Beau is fabulous and a bad boy etc, and I did like his and Ash's story, but I think as an author Abbi is going from strength to strength as this was, quality wise, a better written story IMO.

My only complaint was actually in the Epilogue, which I know some people love to get in a book, I personally don;t want or need them, I like to let my imagination take over, especially with teen romances because they don;t always end in...more

so far, most of the reviews have been true. this book is so over the top! yes it does get quite hot but it's quite stupid. im kind of annoyed at myself for choosing to read this book.

Oh and his dad said this about beau I personally would have slapped him “tell him I was proud of him? For what? Being a loser? coming to football practice with a hangover? Hanging out in bars? What the hell was I suppose to be proud of? Huh? Please tell me that?” He was talking about my beau oh hell no
But then at the end the dad did the right thing and I was so happy to get beau’s point of view. I liked the ending just actually I loved it just not most of the book sorry though I did get over me hatred for lana…..a lil and I don’t hate sawyer any more Wish there was another book with ash and beau’s pov and a little of sawyer's

just when i thought Beau is hot, Sawyer is much much hotter!!!♥♥♥

6 month after Ashton broke up with Sawyer to be with Beau, Sawyer is definitely not over her. And his still waiting for the right chance for her to realize his not the right Vincent boy for him.

Beau is full of swagger *swoon*, but Sawyer has a quiet demeanor. Beau is openly passionate about Ash, Sawyer is more reserved. Beau likes to drink and live it up, Sawyer goes to parties but doesn't drink much. All that may lead you to believe Sawyer is boring. I mean, I thought he was a big snooze in THE VINCENT BOYS. Ohhhhhh, how I was wrong. I should have known better. It's always the quiet ones who end up catching you by surprise, isn't it? I'm absolutely not going to give anything about this book away, but when I think about Sawyer...*shivers*.

I had the same issue with Lana McDaniel. Ash's cousin was in THE VINCENT BOYS long enough for me to think I knew her. Lana thought Ash was crazy for leaving Sawyer for Beau. She thought Ash was handling everything wrong, and let her know it. All I thought about Lana was "What a buzzkill." Again, I was wrong. I only knew Lana from Ash's perspective. I was caught off guard by how quickly I began to love her. Lana is great. She's so strong, so forgiving, so loving.

Sawyer and Lana together. Gahhhh. I don't know how Abbi does it. There are some scenes that were so steamy, I had to stick my head in the freezer. And the funny thing is, the scenes aren't "graphic" at all. Or maybe I'm just easy, I dunno. Anyhow, it's good stuff.

Here's the deal. When Abbi sent me this book, I freaked out. I was so excited. One of my BFF's Autumn (from Autumn Review) and I read the book "together",which consists of DMs and texts since we live hours away from one another. We both stayed up until 3:30am reading THE VINCENT BROTHERS. As soon as we woke up the next morning, we started talking about the book again. Then, we talked on the phone for an hour that afternoon about all the little things that hit us so hard. I actually teared up when we were talking about it. I guess my point is, Abbi Glines' books have a special quality about them that resonates with me so deeply. I've called it her "special sauce". I can't tell you exactly what it is, but I know I'm going to find it each time I open her books. And that feeling, it is worth everything when it comes to reading.

Bottom Line: If you loved THE VINCENT BOYS, you will certainly love THE VINCENT BROTHERS.

Lana McDaniel has always envied her cousin Ashton. Not only does Ash have all the looks, but she's had BOTH Vincent boys wrapped around her finger. Lana didn't approve of how Ash handled her break-up with Sawyer, but she's not exactly sad that it happened either. She's always had a thing for Sawyer. This is the summer she's going to stand up and take a chance. She wants Sawyer bad, but she won't be second best either.

My Take:
Where to begin??? I suppose I'll start by saying that I had no idea what to expect when it came to Sawyer's story. I'm a true, dedicated, heart-throbbing fan of Beau's, so I wondered how Abbi Glines was going to make me fall in love with Sawyer. I didn't really like him in VB. I didn't even feel bad for him either. Well, I'm pleased to say, that Abbi did it. While I'd still pick Beau, I truly did fall in love with Sawyer Vincent. They are so different and I love them for different reasons, but MAN OH MAN! We certainly get inside his head and let me just say, there's a lot going on in that head of his.

I think what bothered me the most about Sawyer in the first book was that he didn't really see Ash. He had such an idealized version of what he wanted her to be, that he ignored who she really was. He wanted her to forget who she was when they were kids and she was close to Beau. He wanted to be her world. I get that to a point, but boy is that a sure fire way to lose a girl. Having said that, in this book, he does see the error of his ways and it really made sense to me why he felt that way about Ash.

Another reason why I fell for him this time...he is sexy as sin. Seriously. I was shocked. I mean, he's a teenage boy, so naturally he has pervy thoughts, but I seriously considered putting ice down my shirt a few times to cool off. It's not even that the scenes were incredibly graphic, but the way that boy chooses his words could set a house on fire. My friend Andrea from The Bookish Babe and I were reading it together via texts and DM's and I believe there were a few times we BOTH had to step into the freezer. No lie.

Then there's Miss Lana. We get the impression in the first book that there are some underlying feelings that she may have for Sawyer. She's always been the timid one behind Ash's more confident demeanor. Well, this summer everything has changed and she's going for the gold. I absolutely loved that she stepped out of her shell to go after what she wanted. Not only did she do that, but she also had the confidence not to let Sawyer walk all over her. She really was perfectly suited to what he needed.

Truthfully, I could go on and on about this book and how amazing it was, but if you've ever read an Abbi Glines book, you already know that it is. As sad as I am that the Vincent Brother's tales are over, Abbi really tied it up beautifully. I needed to see some issues resolved and I felt that that was accomplished. Not to say that I wouldn't like an update story someday, because let's face it...can you ever really get enough of the Vincent Brothers???(less)
