This is a great book if you like animals, especially if you like Ravens! This is a story of a young raven named Clem that is taken into a humans house when a hiker finds it on the ground, nearly dead. Once he gets into the house he meets the hiker's owl, Clyde. In the story they have many fun adventures together like when he goes on a kayak with his family. Warning! This is not a fictional book so do not expect to see animals talking! This book also teaches you animal facts like what ravens eat....more

This book is an incredible story of a bond that formed between a young family with a newborn baby in New Mexico and an orphaned raven. I read it over 4 years ago and it is still one of my favorite books. It is short, filled with beautiful and descriptive narrative, and is one of the stories about interspecies relations that helps to remind me of our true place in nature.

Would be a great read aloud book to ages 7 and older!
