FREAKING BRILLIANT!!!!

I'm going to express my feelings about Fate Succumbs by Tammy Blackwell without giving anything away. Trust me, this book deserves to be read without any spoilers. I don't want to be the one that ruins the whirlwind of twists that Ms. Blackwell throws at the reader. Sooooooo........

Ok, so for most of the book, I was:

OH MY GOD!!! Its finally over and I am absolutely miserable. I was hooked to Scout’s story from the 1st page of the 1st book and Ms. Blackwell doesn’t disappoint in the finale. I tried to put off reading this book for as long as I could but then I finally caved. Even then I tried to make it last by reading it as slowly as was possible but then that was never going to work, not with the way the narrative progresses. You can’t help but get sucked in; I couldn’t wait to find out what happened next....more

I'm always intrigued by people rating books before they are published. You could argue that they may have ARCs but I feel like that only applies 5% of the time.

AHHH!!! Cannot believe this series has ended.
The final book in this series is UHMAZING!!
I am loving TAMMY BLACKWELL and will definitely read anything she writes!!
This is definitely a series I recommend. Scout Donovan has become one of my favorite characters. She is so sarcastic and fun and I just love her!
I was fortunate enough to receive an advanced copy of this book (It releases next week) THANK YOU TAMMY and I literally could not put it down.
Let me just say that I loved the direction this ser...more

****Re-read 2013
I give a 15 stars to this series.

*****SPOILERS***** DON'T READ IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW. I WILL SPOIL IT FOR YOU.

I started this series yesterday and finished the last book a few minutes ago.

I have to say, when I started reading, I did like Alex and Charlie. Between those two, I couldn't decide who Scout should choose. I didn't really feel a connection with either, you know when you really, really start thinking them as a real person.
But then Alex died......more

I've been impatiently waiting for the third book of the Timber Wolves Trilogy to "hit" the shelves. Yesterday I clicked on Buy with 1-click and devoured the book in basically one sitting.

The last book of a series is always hard. Saying goodbye to characters you have become invested in is bittersweet.

(view spoiler)[If you told me after Time Mends that Scout and Liam were going to end up together I would have laughed. No, Alex was coming back. I knew he was. "This is real" - no, that meant Alex w...more

Loved it! Fantastic! So sad to say goodbye to Scout and company. It was an emotional roller coaster for me. Fortunately, I didn't read this one in public, because I would have looked quite strange laughing out loud one minute and then sobbing the next. (Seriously, it's good.)

I love Ms. Blackwell's sense of humor. She's also really good at slipping in geek/cultural references without taking anything away from the main story. Never once in the three books was I able to predict what was going to h...more

this series took many unexpected twists and turns and i loved every bit of it. i cried, i laughed and i had a whole lot of excited squealing moments (which i dont do often) especially in this last book.

out of all three i am almost certain this was my favourite. i have become very emotionally attached to all the characters in this world Blackwell has woven and her writing style really drew me in. i read all three books in a little over 24hrs, i was completely hooked!

scout was very strong and alth...more

This truly was a great trilogy to read. So good I read all book switching about two days.

I can't sy enough times how I love the characters and the relationships. My favorite has to be Jase and Scout. The. Love for each other as brother and sister is amazing. They make me laugh and smile when ever their around each other. Add Charlie and Talley into the mix, and I am officiously envious of their close relationship they have going on.

I really believed Jase would go against his sister in the secon...more

This series just went on a downhill slope. I don't understand Blackwell's need to try to romantically push/force Scout to every guy that comes her way (Charlie, Alex, Travis, Liam...). It was really irritating because it makes it hard for me to really know which direction Blackwell's going with all this. I really liked Charlie as a romantic interest for Scout in book 1, and I really liked Liam as a romantic interest in book 3. It's like Blackwell shoved us all in the direction of whatever guy ca...more

I read the first two books in this series a while ago, so the beginning of the book was a little hazy for me. Once I remembered the story line and where the last book left off, the action picked up for me. There are a few spoilers below, so beware if you haven't read the book yet.

One of the things I kind of liked about this book would be (view spoiler)[ the relationship between Scout and Liam. There wasn't any of that insta-love crap that I have come to loathe over the years. Their relationship

Wow. Amazing.(view spoiler)[ I love Liam so much! Its incredible how the author could change my mind so easily! Usually when it comes to love triangle situations I automatically choose my favorite and forget the other even has a chance. But Tammy Blackwell knew how to change minds fairly easy. I'm impressed, I loved the idea of Alex for Scout since the beginning and, though I liked Charlie, I knew he wasn't for her. I remembered Liam right before he showed up during the rescue scene, but never d...more

3.5

This was probably my favorite book of the series hugely due to the fact that the romance was far more mature and developed, not to mentioned something I would have NEVER guessed would transpire after the first book. I feared Blackwell was making the oh so familiar plunge into the love triangle syndrome, but I was pleasantly surprised with how she worked it (think missy elliot). However the why the 3.5 rating you ask? Well it lost it at the end, all this great building and foreplay then meeeeh...more

I'm really going to miss the crazy emotional, kick-ass, strong, witty, sarcastic, pop culture reference making, ghostly looking, very special heroine, Scout, aka the moon.

I had so much more fun reading this last installment of the trilogy, and thankfully, the format was perfect!! There were no glaring editing errors, so I was able to enjoy every word, and every moment, without interruption. Oh, and I loved the slow build up of Liam and Scout's ultimate fate. If it had been written any other way...more

After finishing up the series I am surprised to say overall I like the series. I liked the main character and found myself laughing at the ridiculous comments she would make. But after the end of the first book I thought I was gonna pull my hair out after what happen to Alex. I was having one of the moments where I'm saying to myself "oh man, how am I so upset about someone who isn't real!" But man I liked Alex.
Of course in the third book I was happy at who she ended up with. I could of used a...more

I'm still reeling over the fact this series is actually over, and giddy with the thought of a brand new series coming in 2013, set within the same world. Tammy Blackwell you're my American Idol! Now on to serious thoughts. I was more than happy with the outcome of what quickly became my favorite of the Timber Wolves trilogy. Liam was the most compelling of all male hottie characters in book one for me, and more than lived up to my expectations in three. Scout became exactly who she needed to be....more

Tammy, you knocked it out of the park! Need more exclamation marks… out of the park!!!!
Fate Succumbs is an engrossing, fast-paced, cleverly tied-up finale to a wonderful trilogy. In fact, it’s my favorite book of the three. After receiving the book as an e-arc, I thought I’d take a wee nose at it before I started work for the day. Well… that wee nose turned into me devouring the entire book in hours. As we catch up with Scout and Liam after his rescue of her in book two, we journey into a road-t...more

Uhhh… I think Im a little speechless at the moment. As I sit here at my computer, trying to figure out HOW to say what Im feeling, I just cant think of the words!

This was an EPIC finale to the Timber Wolves series! It had everything a novel should have! Excitement and fear, worry and action, hope and truth, and romance! The story follows Scout and she and Liam are in hiding. For a large portion of this novel, it is only Liam and Scout as they make their way across the USA and Canada, training t...more

Holy cow. I didn’t think that this series could get any better than the first two books, but then this one blew them out of the water. There are so many amazing things that happen in this book that I could not put it down, bedtime be damned. In the span of three books, Scout went from a young girl completely ignorant to the world around her to a serious kick ass heroine. She was still unsure about things, but for the most part she took charge and stood her ground.

I loved the development of Liam....more

Out of all the series I have read this may be my favourite ending EVER. Everything I wanted to happen happened, and everything I thought would happen happened. So I finished it thinking `yeah for me I got the ending I wanted'. However, herein lies the conundrum. I predicted everything, because it was how I wanted it to go (where you reading my mind Tammy?) so therefore there were no surprises for me, and that was a little disappointing. With the previous books something would happen and I would...more

I absolutely loved this series!!!!! This is one of my all time favorite series!! If you plan on reading it you have to read it in order and start with Destiny Binds first.
What I loved most about the book was the main charcter Scout. Her and Liam really made this last book complete. Scout was so funny with all her witt and one liners and not backing down from Liam and all the baggage he had to carry around. I found myself many times laughing out loud in this book. This whole series was such a pl...more

I don't think I'm going to be able to write a very thoughtful review, so let's do some bullet points, shall we? I have to give this series HUGE props for the following:

- Awesome, awesome, AWESOME female lead and narrator. Seriously, Scout is now a favorite.

- The characters. Yes, Scout is a prime example, but just... all of them. This is character development done right, and you can tell the author cared a lot about her characters. Everyone changes because of the situation...more

So this is the third book in the series and the last one. I am disappointed that it's the end but also in saying that I am not so much in love with this book as I was with the first and second. Not trying to give it away, but the series twist was great as twists go, but I dunno yet if I personally liked it.

Basically you can say the verdict is still out on the whole series as a whole.

For this book, Scout (man do I love that name) is on the run. Her family and friends go on with their lives and sh...more

Well...I kinda saw that one coming. Here I am...heartbroken for some fictional caracther that I love in a I-need-terapy-and-medication kind of way. It wasnt a bad book. But I wanted to give it 0 stars!!! Because is not fair to make us love someone and then...*puff*. I think that after Time Mends I shoulda been more...prepare? But nah...it hurts anyway. It was a good book...some flaws here and there. But Im..satisfied...sad and hearbroken...but I cant lie, it was a good book. Things didnt end up...more

Loved it! This and the first one were probably my favorite! The second book was mediocre... but I fell in love with this one. Loved the ending!
Anyways, it was simply fate and destiny that brought the two together. Even in the very beginning, it was fate. Wish there was a bit more romance involved though. :3
I love that there was a tad of romance in each novel though. (view spoiler)[And with different characters! Book one was Alex, book two was Charlie (sorta?), and book 3 was Liam. But, if you...more

Fate Succumbs is the conclusion of the Timber Wolves Trilogy.

Scout Donovan with the help of Liam (Alex’s older brother) is now on the run from the Alpha pack. They have ordered her death and she uncovers an evil plot that has been perpetrated by the Alpha female for over 2000 years. The Alpha pack is killing off all female shifters. It is blatant genocide of the female shifters due to an ancient belief and they must be stopped.

Fate Succumbs has it all …action packed, funny, deeply emotional, lo...more

First of all, I want to thanks Ms. Tammy for including a small summary of what happen previously because I'm having a hard time remembering what happen then. Majority of the book is focused on the preparation of Scout over the battle against the Alphas. (view spoiler)[ I was disappointed however because I was really rooting for Charlie-Scout! sad to say it never happen. Charlie's role was so limited in this book, because it focuses more on Liam and Scout. I was really not expecting the twist of...more

I was just a little bit disappointed with this book. I hate when the series begins horrible, the middle is amazing and the end just sucks. I guess I just expected so much more from this book.

The entire book is about Scout and Liam on the run from the Alpha pack since they basically killed the majority of them. They go from motels, to the forest, to even Canada. They end up in a little cottage and train and try to survive there for a while. Of course being cooped up in a cabin with a guy for mont...more
