First I would like to thank the author for providing me with the book. It was very generous of her and I feel extremely honored to be given the chance to write a review for her much acclaimed ‘The Kingdom Chronicles’ series.

This book was totally enchanting, the plot fantastical and the characters bewitching. Sometimes I used to get so enthralled reading it that I felt like I was part of the plot. I love when stories make you feel like you...more

Can't think straight....review to come!!! :)

OKAY, I finally have come up with words to form this review. But before I do, let me please start off by saying this. Barbie and I have become such good friends before I even read her book. She is an amazing person inside and out. I saw her writing skills before purchasing her book(she can write an ending to any book and make it better than how it was originally written) and all I could say was "DAMN THIS GIRL HAS GOT SOME MAD SKILLS"!!! I was mesmeriz...more

It was really good but I wish chapters had been longer. It took a long time to finish because I really couldn't get into the story in the beginning. I guess at some point I mentally kicked myself and got my hands on it. The magical faerie world just swallowed me whole. I had been missing some Iron Fey writing and Mark of the Princess brought me back to it though it was nothing alike. Must be because I love them both :) I really have to say, I'm enchanted by the book.

Mark of the Princess is a beautiful, enchanting story. I immediately took to the main character, Princess Alannah. She is adventurous, fun, thoughtful and intelligent. A perfect mix for a Princess and a novel heroine. ;-)

But I have to say that my love (and my crush) was totally for Brennus. And I knew right away when he was introduced that not only was he about to become the third person in the soon to be love triangle, but the man that captured and stole my heart. He was strong, smart,...more

WHAH…WHAH, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO…

THIS IS GREAT I LOVE THIS BOOK.

In summary:

Alannah is a faeries princess of Meira. Every fearie got a mark tells them what their special power would be, but Alannah doesn’t know what her power is, nobody does. One day she meets a prince called Kaleb. He likes her, and she feels the same. Then they meet again, discovering that both of them are princes.

Alannah gets kidnapped by a sorcerer called maligo. He is deter

Loved this book! Ms Morin's writing skills are wonderful. Her ability to develop the basics of the story really draw the reader under a spell. I love books with strong female main characters and uses of inner as well as outer conflicts between characters who are strongly draw to each other. I enjoyed the way Ms Morin builds the relationships between Alannah and Brennus, and Alannah and Kaleb putting a fantastical touch to human emotions and relationships, and adding the challenge of the triangle...more

This book was truly a riveting read, and unfortunately I picked the WORST time to start it because I was so engrossed that I almost didn't have time to finish Christmas preparations! From start to finish I had an unbelievably hard time putting Mark of the Princess down. I found everything about this novel fabulous! Through the novel and its characters B. C. Morin created a lyrical, exciting and wonderful world that I felt unbelievably honoured to be apart of.

Enjoyed it! Loved it! You just can't put it down, and when I finished it I just craved for more.

I enjoyed the story from page one to the end. I find the beginning of the story so refreshing and engaging- it will already show you a glimpse of all the adventures you will experience. The cliffhanger made my cry but I wouldn't have it any other way!! The characters, which are wonderful fairies by the way, took me with them- to their journeys to different kingdoms, battles, chases; they made me exper...more

"Made a friend, did you?" Brennus asked cynically Alannah huffed at the remark. "Yes, I do no see you getting help out of here!"

Oh my flipping baby Jesus. I'm sitting her stunned as my eyes finally pop back into place after protruding from reading the last few pages of Mark of the Princess. Well done Barbie! That was one hell of a cliff hanger you left me with. Seriously WHAT-THE-EF!!! Why would you go and leave me feeling emotionally shredded with that hell of a whopper? I'm hating you right no

The author sent me a copy of her book in exchange for an honest review. This did not influence my review in any way.

Let me just start off by saying that I love faeries. They're one of my favorite paranormal figures out there and I would never, ever get tired of them. I also associate them with elves, and they're often the characters I pick in fantasy-themed MMOs. Knowing the nature of this book was about a work of faeries and powers and good vs. evil, I was looking forward to reading it a lot. H...more

This was freaking wonderful! The characters were intriguing and the plot was fantastic!

Alannah is the princess, and a faerie. As all the characters in this novel are. She has a mark on her back that hasn't been seen in a thousand years, and therefore few people know what it is. One of those people happens to be the amazing Brennus, who I am rooting for all the way. See, he has this tough guy exterior built around him, but he truly cares for Alannah. Now, on the other hand, there is Kaleb, the go...more

Warning: Possible Spoilers to early plot points:

This novel has strong characters, the detail is so great you can see the fae markings, the lands they travel in, and the creatures they come across. With complex personalities you have to really get to know the characters and get the chance every sentence that you read. With love triangles. adventure, magic, and so much more, you will not want to put this book down and when it ends you want to call the author herself and ask her to finish writing t...more

Hello y'all Anne here with my review for The Kingdom Chronicles: Mark Of The Princess, this was an amazing book to read. B.C. Morin has the kind of imagination that takes you away to a land of 5 kingdoms all full to the brim with Faeries. Each forest has its own special breed of fae unique to its particular needs and the author holds back no detail in showing each and every race and their special powers. I loved that the fae are born bearing marks that tell them the potential they will carry and...more

This was an amazing book. I'm not sure where to start! Well first off, the characters were well developed as was the story and plot itself. It was a riveting struggle between good and evil. You have Alannah, this stunning princess of the Kingdom of Meira. She's living her like without a care in the world. She wants to be free to roam and do as she please but her father is restraining because he fears for her life. Once she goes missing, the Kingdom of Meira as well as the surrounding kingdoms go...more

I love stories that are set in another world. Mark of the Princess is a fantasy in its most authentic form. Filled with magic, adventure and a storyline that curls your toes, why didn't I rate it more than 4 stars?

To be efficient I found it really difficult to read this book. On many levels, I was perplexed by the dynamics between characters. Have you been through that situation where you write a story but the dialogues lack that feeling of coherency. In result, you get the most awkward conversa...more

I was given this book from the author to give an honest review.

What an amazing faerie story. I have read books about faeries before but in this book I was amazed, on how B.C. Morin was able to weave the plot and make everything come together. With love triangles, adventure, fighting, good faeries, good creatures, evil faeries, evil creatures, good magic, along with evil and dark magic everything came together. B.C. Morin has a wonderful imagination that she was able to weave 5 faerie kingdoms tha...more

They say you can’t judge a book by the cover. Unfortunately, this is a lesson that I have learned with this book. The cover really is gorgeous and intriguing. When I had the chance to read this book I wasn’t sure what to think. Had I realized that it was self-published, it would have probably been a deal breaker from the start as I’ve found the quality of self-published books to be lacking. That was certainly the case with this book.

To be honest, I am very shocked and surprised at the 4-5 star...more

This teen fantasy is quick moving and full of clear good and evil. A spoiled and protected princess and her adopted sister find themselves in the grip of unexpected adventure and potential romance. There is a love triangle of sorts, something I don't enjoy, but it doesn't get too intense. Alahnna is so focused on what she doesn't have in terms of her powers that she neglects what she does have, to her later dismay. The villain is obvious, and despite everyone's warnings, seems more bumbling and...more

Mark of the Princess is the first book in The Kingdom Chronicles by B.C. Morin. It's a fairytale about a faerie princess being kidnapped and trying to figure out her emerging powers. The main character in the book is Alannah, whom I had trouble connecting with. I actually just had trouble connecting with the book as a whole. I really wanted to like it, and there are so many positive reviews.

The romance definitely didn't go the way I thought it would. There ended up being a love triangle that I...more

While writing this enchanting tale Morin created an entirely new and extremely vivid world for her characters to live in. This faerie realm is very different from most other depictions of fae. There are some similarities, but Morin has gone out of her way to allow her readers to see her vision of this faerie realm. This extraordinary world combines with the adventure that the characters find themselves on to make you feel like you are immersed in the faerie kingdoms, fighting alongside them.

First of all I want to thank B.C. for sending us this book to read and review. This story had a lot of things that I enjoyed and some things that I didn't. First off, I am not a huge fan of love triangles. I didn't know there was one in this book, but as soon as we were introduced to Brennus, I knew right away there was going to be conflict. Let me just say though, I am full on Team Brennus. Nothing against Kaleb, but Brennus is just sexy! Just his personality alone makes him sexy. Okay so aside...more

I AM SO IN LOVE WITH THIS BOOK. The story is so engrossing that I found myself completely sucked in right from the part where Alannah was kidnapped until the very end. Here, the story is not just focused on one charater but almost to every onbe of them including the villains, which I liked so much. I really loved all the characters because they're so unique on their own ways. Alannah, who was naive at first found herself grown into a mature woman as the story progressed. Evy, also proved herself...more

Wow. I really, really, enjoyed this book. I’ve been reading bunches of dystopia lately, so it was great to read some pure, unadulterated fantasy. The characters were great, the plot was awesome, and the romance just got better as it progressed. There were a few issues here and there, but hey, when it’s good, it’s good.

The Plot:

Now this was unusual in a number of ways. So we’ve got the fierce Princess Alannah, who hates being cooped up and is constantly trying to avoid her bodyguards; her adopt...more

First of all I want to thank the author for sending me a copy of this book. I have become a big fan of this genre. That said, their were things I really enjoyed and other things I struggled with. The first part of this book lagged for me. I initally had a hard time connecting with the main character, Princess Alannah. But as the story moved forward and Brennus was introduced I found the pacing and character development more engaging. I found her to be less one dimensional as her jouney moved for...more

Note: I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

This book was fairly difficult for me to actually work through. Although I found the use of description fantastic, I just was not able to really get into the story. The only part of the book that really spoke to me was the imagery, which I found beautiful. The author did great at describing the beauty of the area. I just never felt a connection to the characters or plot. The book did start out fairly slow, so that made i...more

“I’m sure I have no idea what you are talking about PRINCESS.” He tilted his head and half curtseyed when he said the last word.

“That! That is what I am talking about. Since we ran into the others you have been cold and more arrogant than usual.” She kept her voice low so the others would not hear.
“Is that so? I would say I was averagely arrogant”

“Alannah?” He held her limp body waiting for a response. “Don’t do this.” He put his hand over the other cut whispering his words and healing it as well. “Alannah?” His voice begged, as he held her face in his hand Still no response. He looked at the ground she had laid on realizing that she had lost a lot of blood. Then from the corner of his eye he saw the rise and fall of her chest and let out a breath he hadn’t realized he was holding. She still lives.” 11 people liked it
