I only read "Legend of Sleepy Hollow." It's a great story, but the writing is very old-fashioned. I don't think there are more than two lines of dialogue in the whole 40-page story. Hard to get through, and not worth reading more stories.

I read Legend of Sleepy Hollow and Rip Van Winkle. They were pretty good, but I don't feel the need to read the other stories at the moment.

Washington Irving was an American author, essayist, biographer and historian of the early 19th century. He began his literary career at the age of nineteen by writing newspaper articles under the pseudonym, "Jonathan Oldstyle."
