Another unforgettable book in this amazing series!!! I knew going into JoD that I was going to love it, because this is Jen and Dec's story and I absolutely adore these characters!!!! Jen had already earned herself top spot as the funniest and most memorable female character I've ever read, without a doubt, and Dec was just irresistible.

This time around, all is settled and well for Jacque and Fane, but Jen is miserable living in Romania while an absentee Decebel has taken leave for over two months. Unsure what her feelings for him mean, when Dec returns and there's still no sign that he's her mate, Jen is determined to not let it get her down. But when the alphas decide that it's in the best interest to bring back an old mating tradition, Jen and Dec are in for a major challenge. All unmated females and males are asked to gather so that more true mates may be found amongst the packs, and with no proof that Dec is her mate Jen must attend. With Dec's wolf claiming Jen and possessively protecting her from the other men, things are strained to the breaking point, making an unexpected attack on their pack the last thing anyone expected.

Loftis brought out the big guns with Jen in this book, making this always hysterical character shine even more than she already did. Jen is once again up to her old antics, doing anything in her power to drive Dec crazy and flirt with him relentlessly at the same time. I adore the banter and smoking hot chemistry between these two, maybe even more than I did with Fane and Jacque (who I absolutely loved!)! It was sad watching them have to deny their feelings because no mating signs ever showed up, and the moment I read about the gathering I was thinking "oh, good lord this can't be good!". I knew it spelled bad news for both of them, but what I wasn't expecting was how incredibly entertaining Jen would be throughout the whole event!! Oh, good lord this girl had me laughing to the point of tears (the cheering scene, oh my, I think I pulled a stomach muscle laughing so hard!!!)!!!! I just loved that Dec accepted her and loves her for who she is, nutty craziness and all. There was so much sexual tension and jealous angst between them, it had me glued to my iPad!

I loved that we got to see so much of our old favorites again; Jacque, Fane, Sally, and the rest of the pack were all present and accounted for, and they were just as unforgettable as they were in the previous books. We learned some exciting new things about Sally that will surely mean exciting things for her in the rest of the series, and it seems Loftis has some very interesting plans in the works!!

Thad, the underhanded antagonist in this book, made my skin crawl. I was so mad as he made his plans to take out the pack, it had my stomach in knots!! The climax came so late in the book that I was wondering if maybe his plans were just going to fall through, but the last 10% of the story non-stop suspense and heartbreak. I definitely wasn't expecting the MAJOR cliffhanger Loftis leaves us with, and I am so very grateful at this point that I was late to this series....because I don't have to wait to see what happens next!! =) Yep, on to Out of the Dark!!!

You know when you read a book so good that you don't know what to read next because you're afraid it will pale horribly in comparison to the book you just read? Well, this book was that for me. JOD is centered mainly in the love story between Jen and Decebel. Both feel that they are each others mate but there are no signs of it, no markings in the skin no hearing each other thoughts. They have to attend The Gathering or as Jen calls the "Meat Fest" where they´ll interact with un-mated weres of other packs in hopes of finding their true mate. I´m really glad we finally get to know a bit more about Sally´s story, or at least the beginning of it ;)

Just One Drop is the third in The Grey Wolves series. I can not put into words how much I ADORE these books and Just One Drop has rushed to the top of my favorite book of the moment list.

I completely forgot this was released on Sunday. Just got it on my Nook and can't wait to read it!!! :) Really excited for some more Fane and Decebel

Update: In the first book, I found the teenage lingo to be a little bit much, but it has grown on me. I find myself seriously holding back laughter, for fear that my husband will make fun of me, or other drivers will think I have lost my mind....and this only being while sitting at some incredibly long stop lights on my way to work.

In Just One Drop, the world of wolves flourished, developing as it went. There was just so many doors that opened, and through those doors held the things that made the book more interesting.

What I mean by 'the world of wolves fourished' is that Loftis solidified more of this 'supernatural' side as the book progressed, while introducing other types of the unhuman.

Im not sure if I should buy you a hot fudge sundae with whipped cream and a cherry on top or put you in time out.

Just One Drop is hands down my favorite book in the series. I loved this book. I have never smiled and laughed more reading a book then I did with this one. I really love this series. One of my favorites. I only have one hang up and is the reason it isn't a 5. The whole one true mate was made to be such a big deal and waiting for the "one". Dec makes such a big deal about it with Jen and then he didn't wait. What is up with that? They needed to discuss it more or fight about it.

Quinn has done it again! Completely in love with Just One Drop.

As always, Jen's personality shines and we began to see a side of Dec that we all know we love and have been so desperate to see. The growth of their relationship has been a long time coming and man... was it ever hot!

I love the addition of the new characters and the history we see unveiled is incredible. As always, can't wait to see what happens in The Grey Wolves Series next.

This book is my favorite of the three! It was an enjoyable read and never hit a slow point! I do love Jen and Dec a bit more than Fane and Jacque, I have to admit. It was nice to see Jen continue to be herself even when she knew her actions or mouth would bring out Decebel's wrath. But Seriously, that ending!? Now I am on the edge of my seat until the next one! I am hoping I do not have to wait a year!

Before I really get into this, I want to warn all of you that there will indeed be spoilers for those of you who have't read the book synopsis. Once you've done that come back and finish this review. I promise it will still be here. I love how this book has brought in Jen's budding romance with Decepel. Because she is only a dormant and not a ful...more I'll tell you this right now. I promise it will still be here. I love how this book has brought in Jen's budding romance with Decepel. Because she is only a dormant and not a full bred furl ball (Jen's nicknames are amazing), They aren't getting the mating signs to prove their bond. We as readers know it, Jen and Decepel know it, even the Romanian Pack knows it, but the rest of the werewolf universe doesn't know this yet. Because of it, I simply could not put the book down until I found out what was going to happen between the pair.
What Quinn did here for Just One Drop was very smart. She figured that with three best friends a good chunk of her fan base would want to hear about all three friends. So what did she do? She made this book about Jen and Decepel while still keeping all the original characters laced into the plot. There are said to be seven books in the series all together, and no matter how much you love Jacque, we all want to see some growth and development happen with all three best friends.
(Insert interrupting fan here).... BUT WHAT ABOUT SALLY!!!!!!! o__0
Since I want to give all readers a chance to experience the moment when we do realize what is up with Sally, I'm not going to say it. Rest assured, however, Sally does get something. Also, I'm not sure if any of you have noticed, but there is indeed a pattern going here. Though we are not switching the POV around in this book because it's an unknown narrater talking, the main focus of the books have been changing every two books. First two were Jacque, second two were Jen (Out of the Dark has been out for awhile so totally read that as soon as you're done here), and five and six are about Sally (Beyond the Veil and an unknown sixth book). Number seven is said to be about Vasile and Alina, but that's a while away. The point is, I'm loving how she's setting up this series. I will finish it to the end.
Since I'm done, I'm going to go reread Just One Drop, and probably every other Grey Wolves Series book as well.

OK, so I do absolutely LOVE all of the books in the POW series, but there are one or two things that annoyed me about this book. Im going to get them off my chest so then i can rave about the rest of it :)... One: I love that Quinn wants our strong, hilarious, and generally fabulous heroines to be with equally awesome guys, but it slightly annoyed me that having spent the first two books ranting on about how incredibly strong Fane is, i found it hard in this novel to then have to listen to how i...more OK, so I do absolutely LOVE all of the books in the POW series, but there are one or two things that annoyed me about this book. Im going to get them off my chest so then i can rave about the rest of it :)... One: I love that Quinn wants our strong, hilarious, and generally fabulous heroines to be with equally awesome guys, but it slightly annoyed me that having spent the first two books ranting on about how incredibly strong Fane is, i found it hard in this novel to then have to listen to how incredibly strong Decebel was- both times, Quinn talks about how no one is stronger than him, but im pretty sure almost the same thing was said about Fane. I guess the point is, is that when it comes to either mate, both wolves are pretty unbendable.

Dont get me wrong, I am totally in love with all of the female characters in the book- they are so loveable and original that you cant really help it, but at times i struggle with how almost long-winded and melodramatic Jen can be completely on purpose. I think I almost prefer Jacque as a character because she's kind of like a toned down version of Jen. Yet Im still left wanting to hear a little more from Sally. I just thought that the balance was a little off.

Now onto what i LOVED. LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE :)... again the different POVs was great, although i would have loved a little more about Fane and Jacque and i still want to hear more from Sally who remains a kind of secondary heroine. I really enjoyed how different Quinn made the relationships between Decebel and Jen and Fane and Jacque- they both are so passionate and devoted, and each face completely different yet equally frustrating and difficult challenges. Fane and Jacque are so kind of young and cheeky and devoted, and Jen and Decebel are so feisty and abrasive and loving. They are both completely perfect couples in completely different ways. And i absolutely love that the continue to challenge each other an every turn.

The introduction of the whole Healers element was really interesting, although i did slightly struggle with the whole unknown enemy thing again. I also thought it was great that more wolves- especially females- were introduced, and i have to say that i was completely shocked by the final outcome. I wanted to cry in frustration and surprise, and i was left once again wanting more. The twist of who the traitor is completely took me by surprise, but in a good way. Quinn has a gift is all i can say, because normally by this point in a series im starting to loose interest, but im still completely hooked.(less)

It could be that I just love Jen.

So werewolves have not been bonding and because of that the species is dieing out. So the alphas of the pack agree to hold, as Jen put it, "Mate Fest 2010" in order to bring anyone with even "Just One Drop" of wolf blood to Transylvania in order to see if bonding could take place.

Fane smiled at his Beta. "Nu mai incerce sa, (No longer try)."
"Good call." Decebel nodded.
Jen looked over at Decebel, her eyes narrowing. "No talking in foreign tongue when around the Americans."
Decebel leaned towards her, the gleam in his eyes causing Jen to tremble. "But Jennifer, I thought you spoke Romanian." He looked around at Sally and Jacque. "Weren't you two under the impression that she spoke Romanian?"
Jacque and Sally nodded despite the daggers Jen was staring their way.
"That was thoroughly impressed upon us, wouldn't you say, Sally?" Jacque turned to look at her.
"Wait. Uh yeah, I distinctly remember a bar...vodka...and I'm almost positive Jen speaking in Romanian to the hot bartender."
Sally was grinning from ear to ear as Jen's face grew red.
"I hope you two aren't attached to your undergarments because I just got the sudden urge to have a bonfire," Jen growled out.
"Note to self: hide underwear."
"Or you could just solve that problem by not wearing any." Jacque heard Fane's voice through their bond. Her jaw dropped open and her face turned bright red as she turned to look at her mate.
Jen looked at Sally. "Looks like Fane had a suggestion about the princess' undergarments. If I had my guess, I'd say he told her I couldn't burn them if she didn't own any."
If Jacque could've turned any redder she would have. "How? What..." Jacque stuttered as she looked at her blonde friend, trying to figure out how she knew what Fane had been thinking.
"It's a gift, Watson. But really what it boils down to is when it comes to chicks and underwear, guys will always say they don't mix."
Decebel coughed as he choked on his laughter while Fane had buried his face in Jacque's back, his shoulders shaking. Jacque and Sally both looked at their friend with open mouths.” — 16 people liked it
