No doubt about it, young Johnny's favorite outfit is his birthday suit. Especially when he is playing in the water. His mom finally decides that he has reached an age where he really should keep his clothes on. She devises many methods to make him do so with very little success.

Johnny likes running around in his birthday suit. Johnny reminds me of another little boy who refused to stay clothed (I can’t mention names but he’s turning 15 this month).
I can’t say this is the best children’s book ever written. The language bogs down here and there. In some cases, it just doesn’t flow right but that did not prevent me from enjoying little Johnny one hundred percent.

A warm read with Caribbean flavor. The pictures are wonderfully expressive of jubilant freedom from clothes, and Senior tastefully deals with nudity. Th
This is cute with plenty of rhymes and rhythm through out this book is all about teaching a no longer toddler about the importance of wearing clothes. While my kiddos do not run around in a full birthday suit often, they do get down to their diaper and this would be a great and fun way to start introducing that clothing is important and can be fun in it's own way as well.

This book is very colorful. Johnny loves to run around naked, but when you are a certain age that is not appropriate. Johnny soon finds that out. Children will definitely learn the definition of the words birthday suit after reading this book.

Extension: The children will have to dress the man in our classroom.

Birthday Suit is a wonderful book for young children that is engaging and tells the story of a young boy who refuses to wear clothes.

It is wonderfully illustrated and captures the attention of its readers with an engaging story and illustrations that will make children laugh.
What boy likes clothes when he is 4? Most of us have experienced a child who doesn't like to have their clothes on. In BIRTHDAY SUIT, Johnny is such a boy. That is until he talks with is dad.

A great book for any child who likes to be naked.

AR 3.9

This would be a good book for parents/guardians whose child prefers the nude to clothing. I will admit there are times the story lags, but overall it is a nice picture for the child nudist in your family
afraid to read this at story time because the kids might get an idea and the parents will be soooo mad....but a cute book for the child who does run around in his birthday suit!
This was adorable--the story and the illustrations. A must read for little boys who like to go au naturel. And even those that don't. And even girls.
