Oregon Outback is another four-in-one romantic novella collection from Barbour Publishing, set in the high desert country of Oregon, apparently referred to as the Oregon Outback (sorry, Australians). The stories centre around the four Love brothers:

Oregon Outback is 4 short stories about 4 brothers. I wish they were a little longer but are very good and happy. No sex scenes or vulgar langage.

Oregon Outback is 4 short stories about 4 brothers. I wish they were a little longer but are very good and happy. No sex scenes or vulgar langage.
The first story is about FBI agent Jonas Love after the death of his partner he is on leave till the investigation is over so he heads home. Jonas was a little wild in his youth and wanted to marry high school girl friend Darcy Nichols. Her father did not think he was worthy and helped him to be better.
Darcy knows that because of her father Jonas left without telling her goodby and has not heard from him since he left and now she sees him at her father's funeral.
Carver the eldest of the four brothers is running the ranch and has found 100 cows are gone. He does not like Sheriff Sheridan Hall for Sheriff he does not think that is a job for a women. Finally he calls to let her know after 4 days that his cows were stolen.
Sheriff Sheridan Hall wants to earn the respect of rancher Carver Love so instead of sending a deputy goes instead to find out about the rustlers.
ATV store owner Lucas Love is into extreme sports. His friends are falling in love and not willing to be as daring anymore. He does not want to get married and tied down.
Sierra is hired to do the bookkeeping for ATV store when she moves into her grandmother's house she inheirted. She is warned that Lucas has broken a lot of hearts. Sierra agrees to be just friends with Lucas and let him show her some of the sporting world.
Justin Love has not been home for 3 years and now he is back in Oregon to find bail jumper who is on his way from Florida to Oregon to see his sister before hiding in Oregon back country.
Darrow Kincaid is owner, manager of hotel in the country where hunters, hikers and wilderness lovers. She is hoping to marry her boyfriend of 8 months and thinks they will be good together till she meets Justin and feels something when she checks him into the hotel and questions her future plans.
All four stories talk a little about church,prayer or scriptures in thier lives that help them to make the choices they face.

I would have to say this is one of the best books I've read. It is four stories in one.

The first story is about Jonas Love and Darcy Nichols. It takes you in the beginning that Darcy had buried her father who was a Pastor. She had always fought for his approval. Then Jonas comes back cause he promises Darcy's father to protect her, because before he died he told Jonas that he was sorry he never aproved of them getting married and that he pulled them apart. So he comes back and of course Darcy is hurt. They have a worldwin of a time with him trying to get her back and him trying to protect her from a bad guy from his work. read it is def. a story you wanna read til the end

The second story is about Jonas brother Carver and how he tries to tell Sheriff Sheridan Hall that she isn't worthy of being a sheriff but in reality he is in love with her and doesn't wanna see her hurt.

The third story is about another Love brother Lucas who is a thrill seeker and he is a owner of an atv business. He puts in the paper for a bookkeeper and in pops this goregous women he can't stop looking at Avery Summers. She just wants to be in a job that isn't stressful like her last job and wants some peace. He just tries to keep her out of his mind but he ends up falling in love with her and trying to get her to open up to taking risk and she tries to get him to put down some roots. def. a story you should check out.

The last story is about Another love brother who ran away from his past. He is a bounty hunter now, use to be cop. He is trying to look for a fugitive because the wife asked him to look for her husband who ran before she could tell him she was pregnant. So he ends up back in his home town Oregon. He meets the women he can't stop looking at Darrow Kincaid who owns the Ridgecrest lodge. He tries to just keep up with trying to find his fugitive but in all the mist he falls in love with Darrow, but Darrow is in a relationship and the guy proposed to her. Justin tries to tell her not to marry him because she shouldn't marry someone she doesn't love and that upsets her. It also turns out her brother Benson is the fugitive he is looking for. She feels like Justin only used her.. I won't tell you the ending you'll just have to check out this book.

I loved it and couldn't put it down til it was done.. A must read. Thank you Elizabeth for letting me have a chance to read it.(less)

In each case there is some danger that propels the brother of that story to protect or save the woman that he loves and in doing so she realizes that he is her perfect match.

Oregon Outback is a collection of four story stories covering how four brothers in Oregon each fall in love. These loves vary from an old flame returning to the sudden appearance of the perfect girl. In each case there is some danger that propels the brother of that story to protect or save the woman that he loves and in doing so she realizes that he is her perfect match.

One thing I liked about these stories is the fact that each one involves at least one of the other brothers, be it them offering advice or simply making an appearance along the way. It really did help to tie the stories together and make them flow well, since they all happen in the same area and over a relatively short period of time between them. Not only did it add an extra element to each story but gave each of the women involved a slight insight into the family as well. For after all family is important to these brothers so it was nice to see that present throughout all the stories.

The dangerous encounter in each story helped to keep things following well. Be it a fugitive on the run, cattle rustlers or someone looking for revenge. In each case the brother focused on needed to go out and save the woman he loves from danger, often putting themselves in the way to prevent them from getting hurt. But the women were also not completely incapable of defending themselves, especially in the story involving Carver Love and Sheriff Sheridan Hall as Sheridan can certainly hold her own against cattle rustlers.

I think the stories would have been a bit better had they been longer, but honestly they were a decent length as is. Though the book is classified in the romance genre you will find no sex scene within it, the most you see is one or two kisses between each brother and their chosen woman. So if you are looking for a typical romance with plenty of smut then this is not the story to pick up. However if you want a nice light romance where family, religion and partnership is important that Oregon Outback is an excellent read. I would certainly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys romance novels that are on the lighter side, of course those who like the other spectrum of romance novels may also enjoy this book.(less)

Another book in the Romancing America line. This book tells the stories of four brothers Jonas,Carver,Lucas and Justin Love. We start out with Jonas who has returned to Oregon to decompress after having a FBI operation go terribly wrong. He hopes to restart a romance with his high school flame Darcy.

Carver is a rancher and his cattle have been stolen. Sheriff Sheridan wants to help but they don’t get alone very well. Will Carver’s heart get stolen as well?

This set of four contemporary romantic suspense stories features the Love brothers, men who grew up in the outback in a rough-and-tumble family. Both of their parents are dead, and the brothers have varying ties with each other and the rugged land that birthed them.

In the first novella, “A Love Remembered,” Jonas Love is an FBI agent on temporary leave. Once he’d intended to marry the preacher’s daughter, but the man wouldn’t give his blessing. Now the preacher is dead and Darcy still single–and more desirable than ever. But Jonas suspects trouble has trailed him to the outback, and the last thing he wants to do is hurt Darcy. Again.

“A Love Kindled” is about the oldest brother, Carver Love. He inherited the family ranch and he’s as tough a cowpoke as you’ll find anywhere. If he weren’t so opinionated, he wouldn’t have made an enemy of Sheridan Hall by saying a woman could handle being Sheriff. What he meant, but couldn’t say, was a woman he cared about shouldn’t be in the hot seat. But when rustlers steal a bunch of his cattle, he’s forced to work with Sheridan, who’s just as stubborn as he is. Lots of flying sparks ensue.

Lucas Love is the owner of an ATV rental shop in “A Love Risked.” His friends are no fun any more. They’ve gotten married and settled down–no more leaping ATVs off sand dunes in the outback. Lucas hires a bookkeeper to straighten out his accounts and finds Avery his polar opposite–a gal who likes order and dislikes spontaneity and risks. Maybe he can coax her into a skydiving adventure. Maybe she can show him settling down isn’t a fate worse than death.

In the final novella, “A Love Recovered,” Justin Love is a bounty hunter who’s avoided Oregon for years. Now, however, the man he seeks is headed for the outback and Justin’s not about to let him get away. He checks into Darrow’s lodge while he awaits his quarry. Darrow’s been waiting for her boyfriend to propose. When she meets Justin, she begins to wonder if she’s settling for second-best in her hoped-for life with Smit. But what is Justin really up to in the Oregon Outback?

These four stories showcase some of the dangers when folks in assorted law enforcement capacities fall in love. More than that, though, Oregon Outback is a fun read with suspenseful elements.(less)

This book contains four stories but each story can stand on its own or they can be read as a group. I liked each story and found them all to be interesting and fun to read.

The setting is described beautifully and really adds to all the stories. You will want to visit the area after reading this! The characters are well developed for the stories being short. I thought the author did a good job at giving you a feel for the personalities and personal issues each of the main characters had.

Four brothers and their stories of love. I liked how each brother was so different and the stories were all great. Couldn't put it down. Went right from one brother to the next. The ladies were all interesting characters too.

I won Oregon Outback by Elizabeth Goddard in a Goodreads first reads giveaway. This four-in-one collection is about four brothers in the Oregon Outback. The stories are very refreshing romance stories for those who would rather not have the usual sex scenes. I enjoyed each story which focuses on each of the Love brothers. They are happily ever after love stories.
