Okay I really really really loved this book, but I am like utterly lost as to what Tammy is going to do!!! I went into this book thinking there is no way Alex is really dead. He HAS to be alive. Then I started accepting that he was really dead and totally fell back in love with Charlie & Scout. But the ping pong game of love those two decided to play was sooooooooo frustrating. Destiny Binds left me with a gaping hole in my chest with the tragedy that Scout, Alex, Charlie and Jase experienced, as they were all affected that night, and we all knew to well, that nothing would be the same. I wasn't sure where Ms.Blackwell would take the story, as Ms.Blackwell has a great gift of twisting and turning the story to her liking with explosive results, but I sure wasn't expecting what she threw in Time Mends.

Ms. Blackwell is very talented, and what a bunch of wonderful characters she paints. The story, it just keeps getting better and better! Her story has so many dimensions to it, with love, friendship, lost, family, grief, betrayal, and forgiveness. Time Mends begins where Destiny Binds ends, with Scout facing the reality of everything she lost that tragic night. She is still recuperating from the Coyote attack, and she hides in her dreams as it's the only place where she can be with Alex and actually feel whole again. A part of her feels and believes Alex is out there some where, and she doesn't want to loose hope that he is still in her world. What Scout least expects is that her life is altered yet again by this mysterious world of shifters that took her love away and everything that she hold dear, and now she has a permanent place in this world in which she doesn't or asked to be a part of.

Time Mends will take you through Scout's journey of self discovery, and that she needs to close the wounds of her heart in order to move on and take on her new responsibilities to protect her friends and family from the world of shifters. She wiil be wrapped up in a mess that will test her, shake her to the core, and leave her absolutely hopeless. I really felt for Scout and all that she had to go through. First, she had to deal with Alex's death, knowing that her brother Jase, and Charlie the man she first loved were responsible. You feel the weight she carries, and you feel heartbroken for all the characters. Eventually, they mend their relationship as she loves her brother and she does love Charlie, but she knows, she can never be with Charlie.

This book introduces new characters, which you will love some and hate others. Scout's character grows, and she is back better then ever! This book surely has everything. This book has one of the best dialogue ever. I fell in love with all the character in Destiny Binds, and in Time Mends, I am smitten and head over heal with the characters (even though, towards the end I was really ticked off with Jase)! I guess I was feeling everything that Scout was feeling when Jase broke her heart, but I think Jase will have his reasons (hopefully). I don't know why, but one minute Ms. Blackwell has me ROL, and the next I am crying! You feel all the emotions, they are just jumping from the page!

I will also say, I loved how brilliantly Ms. Blackwell, brought Alex to Scout! It was the sweetest most lovable moments! As in Destiny Binds, Ms. Blackwell, left us with another cliff hanger! I wanted to scream the last chapter, everything was so intense! I had to re-read the whole chapter again to make sure that it ended how I thought it ended! Talk about giving you an anxiety attack! Yeez, she has a way of hooking you good! I am already having withdrawals, I feel like a junkie, desperate for my next fix of Timber Wolves Trilogy! I will dare to say that this will become one of my all time favorite Trilogy/Books ever!

Time Mends is the follow up to Destiny Binds, and let me tell you, Tammy Blackwell did not dissapoint with this one. I was quickly wrapped up with Scout’s story after her immense heartbreak. As she is dealing with her very tough emotional problems, she is suddenly thrust into a situation with the Shifters and Seers that you really do not see coming. The story is fast paced and action packed which leaves you sitting on the edge of your seat wanting to find out what happens next.

Holy crap on a stick! What am i suppose to say after a cliff hanger like that?!

I'm pretty sure i want to jump around fist punching the air and cry in equal turns. I was scared to open Time Mends for that one reason, i knew it was the be all or end all for me with this series.

i loved every thing about destiny binds...and then Alex died and i cried right along with scout.

"how can i read the next book now?" i asked myself. with no Alex it just didn't feel worth it and if Tammy did something danger...more Holy crap on a stick! What am i suppose to say after a cliff hanger like that?!

i loved every thing about destiny binds...and then Alex died and i cried right along with scout.

"how can i read the next book now?" i asked myself. with no Alex it just didn't feel worth it and if Tammy did something dangerously YA like brought him straight back from the dead in the corny way YA Authors do then i was going to rip my hair out! At the same time i have to say i was distraught that Alex died. i mean how unfair is that! to kill off a stunningly hot and funny lead male! it kind of felt like a betrayal.

But I couldn't resist (which was probably what Tammy wanted)so i picked up Time Mends and then once again i was blown away. the world Tammy has created is just so real that i fall easily from the real into imaginary, its almost scary.

I miss Alex, but the whispers that are given of him, while short, push me to read for more. I loved how everything was turning out, the hints of deeper meaning just resting beneath the surface. And then BAM! another twist so big you know nothing is going to be the same!!!!!!

That cliff hanger though, man, it was golden. it guaranteed that i would be picking up the next book. I suggest if anybody is reading my review and thinking 'god this chick is annoying, give me something i can go on' listen to me when i say, buy this book. Dont skip any pages, dont leap frog to the back and read the last page because you cant wait till the end to know where this goes.
JUST DONT!
Take your hand away from the back page and slap yourself in the face for good measure, its not worth losing the whole impact of this book. this is the reason there is hardly any spoilers in this review really this is just praise for Tammy and my feeling on her books.

Purely amazing!

I'll forgive you Tammy for killing Alex as long as you promise to make the third book as awe inspiring as the others!

Time mends was even better than Destiny Binds, once I saw that it was published I had to vae it in my kindle, and well I just devoured the whole book in a couple of hours. It was that good!

I just love Scout! She's the best with all her sarcasm, she's just all the fun in the book!

Ohhh Alex, how I missed him, and I just felt like Scout, believing that he's still there with her.

Personal Note to Reader: I lost my dog 4 days ago very unexpectedly... He was only 6 years old :'( The first few chapters were emotionally hard to get through given the subject. I know a dog isn't a person, but the gaping hole in my chest doesn't know the difference. If you've recently lost someone, be it a person or animal member of the family, have the tissues ready!

The second installment in Tammy Blackwell’s Timber Wolves trilogy is one word: stunning. I didn’t think it possible to love Time Mends even more than Destiny Binds, but add action, political intrigue and mounds of suspense to the witty dialogue and loveable characters and you’ve got a sure fire winner on your hands.

Scout literally has to put her life back together. What happened to her boyfriend, Alex, in the last book has changed all her relationships. On top of that, she's having to deal with massive physical changes and a entre into a world she knows little about: not history or rules or traditions.

No wonder she keeps making blunders that affect the people she loves most. While Scout keeps seeing Alex in her dreams, she must reforge relationships with Jase and Charles, and figure out what her new status means.

When the Alpha Pack comes from Romania, Scout is betrayed by those she felt close to, and accused of mortal crimes. Can her friends save her? What of the mysterious, grey-eyed wolf that she keeps glimpsing in the woods?

The fun continues in the second book. The same snarky banter, pop references, and competent fight sequences are in this second book. Scout continues to be an interesting voice to follow, and getting to see new sides of Talley and Charles flesh them out further as real characters.

This one, like the first, is more of a 4.5 stars, but I went with the four star designation because I wasn't entirely convinced by some of the plot developments; notably Scout being banished from Hagan territory and the accusations leveled at her by the Alpha Pack. They seemed so arbitrary and out of left field, when all I wanted was to read more scenes with Alex (despite his role as exposition-man) and how Scout learns to live with her own guilt and Charles.

(Also, the formatting weirdness that causes words to smoosh together on every other page got annoying.)

But the author hardly needed the cliffhanger at the end of this book to keep me along for Scout's ride. I need to find out what Alex is to her, what the meaning of the wolf puppies that haunt her dream-lake are, and what Scout's destiny ultimately is. And besides, these characters are fun to be around.

This Book's Snack Rating: BBQ kettle chips because although I tire of the BBQ flavor of the plot, I still love the sturdy, salty crunch of the main characters

Where to start. I absolutely loved this book! This was such a great sequel to Destiny Binds. I loved being reacquainted with the foursome plus one of Scout, Jase, Charlie and Tallie, and even the parts that gave us Alex (which was extremely well done IMHO). I laughed and cried a lot while reading this book and though I kind of had a sense where the story was going, I was still completely enthralled by the book and we were given enough compelling...more 4.5 stars rounded up, but should be/could be a 5+.

Where to start. I absolutely loved this book! This was such a great sequel to Destiny Binds. I loved being reacquainted with the foursome plus one of Scout, Jase, Charlie and Tallie, and even the parts that gave us Alex (which was extremely well done IMHO). I laughed and cried a lot while reading this book and though I kind of had a sense where the story was going, I was still completely enthralled by the book and we were given enough compelling dialogue and twists to make it interesting. It is too difficult to summarize this book without giving away what happens after the big attack at the end of Destiny Binds, so I'm not going to do that. I'll say this though. Scout does does not disappoint with her sharp and sarcastic wit (it's better than ever), and so fun to read! She is still vulnerable and insecure like any teen, but still so strong and brave. Jase is still Jase, shiny and self-absorbed, but also humble and fiercely protective. However, we're left with some question marks where he's concerned by the end of the book. Charlie is still the self-less amazing guy we were introduced to in Book 1 and its clear why Scout, and everyone who knows him, loves him so. His banter with Scout and his ability to keep up with her is priceless. And Talley, is much the same, smart, responsible, altruistic and loyal to a fault. She grows tremendously as a character given everything that happens to her. I can't even tell you where the story goes with Alex, but it's truly a gift. If you read Destiny Binds, this is a must read book. Even if you didn't, if you love YA Paranormal Romance, Shifters in particular, you will love this series. You really need to read book 1 first though to get the full impact of the story and enjoy this book.

Why it wasn't a full 5 stars for me. One, there really were a ton of editing mistakes in the Kindle version, which I read. While it didn't take any value away from the story for me, I know a lot of people feel differently, and like to know that when evaluating books. Two, I felt there were some slightly modified but borrowed ideas from other books, and that did take a little value away for me. I believe Ms. Blackwell has enough talent and creativity to incorporate only original ideas in her stories. Nonetheless, these two criticisms aside, this is well worth the read.

One last thought - there was a big, but good cliffhanger at the end. As mentioned I saw it coming, but still loved it when it came and am itching to read what comes next.

I was so torn throughout Destiny Binds. I loved Alex and Charlie and didn’t know how Scout could choose between them. I had a feeling that after the end of the first book that Time Mends would explore the other side of the coin. Even given how things went down. I was both sad and pleasantly surprised that the situation I envisioned wasn’t even a possibility. While I had loved the idea in book one, it no longer felt right in book two. Wow! That was quite the ride! I love this series and can't wait for the next and final book, Fate Succumbs. It had everything I look for in a 5-star book:

1. Likeable characters.

Scout is quickly becoming (has become? is she already?!) one of my favorite YA heroines, and I'm really impressed with the direction the author is taking this series. I mean, things started out normal in Destiny Binds - girl meets boy, fun love story ensues, toss in the paranormal elements and call it good - but by the end of that first book you just know that things aren't going to be what you were expecting back in chapter 4.

The end of this book has made me bereft! What about Alex, Charlie, Jase, Talley and Liam? How can this end well? What was Jase up to? What did the Seer's see when they touched Scout and why wouldn't they tell their queen? Who is Lilith? I can't possibly be expected to wait for the next book right?

She dreams of Alex constantly and talks to him, they hang out and all; she isn't sure if the "dream Alex" is real or not, but doesn't care as long as they're together in some way. When the first full moon after the 'incident' tragedy comes around, she starts going through a very painfull 'Change'....into...more I loved reading this continuation to the Timber Wolves series. Charlie, Jase & Talley decide to vow to go with her, basically 'quitting' allegiance to their pack, and vowing allegiance to Scout. Meanwhile, the relationship between Jase, Charlie & her starts to mend little by little. She even has a passionate kiss with Charlie one night at a dance club, and though she has strong feeling for Charlie, with what happened in the incident and everything, she kinda feels guilty or like she's cheating on Alex; specially when she keeps seeing a 'gray wolf' around at times, at night when she is on the hunt while in 'Scout Wolf' form, thinking it's Alex.

While she is in total shock that her friends would vow to be in her 'pack', she is kinda glad to not be alone in this. However things start taking other turns when the elder Alpha leader find out about her; since she has no 'shifter' blood in her, they think she is a witch, and comes after her to bring up to the others for a trial. Once again, Charlie, Jase & Talley refuse to leave her side. IF she is found guilty, the sentence is death; and Scout thinks that maybe it would help matters if she was 'sentenced'. After being held captive for two weeks, awaiting the day of 'judgement' on her, the decision is made that she should be 'punished', meaning 'death'. In the end right before the 'deed' is done, Charlie comes to her rescue & starts a fight with the others so she has time to run away....and she does. She runs away to a place Talley had given her images of with their mind communication, and... a 'gray wolf' appears out of nowhere and goes with her.

Now, the ending was kinda shocking for me, to find out who the 'gray wolf' is. I won't say who, I'll leave you all to find out for yourselves!. I CANT WAIT 'TIL THE NEXT ONE!! =)

The first word that comes to mind after reading this book is...disappointing. In the first book, Scout's quirkiness was balanced; it is overpowering in Time Mends. It felt like the author was detached from Scout somehow, which is not good considering the book is written from Scout's first-person POV. It's not horrible; I still cried a few times, so I could empathize with the characters - I think that's mostly because I still remember the Scout Donovan from before, though. The previous book ends on a very emotional note and I expected Scout to be different - depressed, lost...and she was...sort-of, in the beginning, but the writing just didn't flow as well.

While there were a couple Twilight parallels in book #1, this novel has more than its fair share. So much so that I found myself comparing most of the plot, and that too kept me from getting lost in the story.

Like the first book, Time Mends needs a good edit. It's actually a bit worse. There are a few of the same words misspelled in more than one place and some misuse of certain words - ex: "The tension in the room was palatable." Also, there's some telepathic communication, but the author didn't use italics or any other differentiating way to distinguish it. It was very confusing.

Overall, I still want to know what happens next and will read the next book, but I'm not on the edge of my seat waiting. Hopefully, the author will spend a little more time perfecting the next to be as as good or preferably better than the first...certainly better than this one.

Would I read it again: No
Do I recommend to others: Um...yeah. I'm glad I read the first book and it would be hard not to read the second after it. Just don't expect a phenomenal book.

I believe the writer is talented and imaginative and her "speech" has a natural flow. The loss of a main character is unbearable and hard to cope with. All my main heartbreaking emotion reading the series so far is, "can 't be true, there must be a way, he must be alive!". This book? Totally made of awesome and win. I am so totally in love with this series it's crazy. I had a feeling that wolf would be who he turned out to be. I still hate what happened to Alex. But two major developments I was so not expecting.
