Policeman, Andy Davidson has been on the periphery of many Torchwood investigations so when an alien artifact is part of a homicide investigation and then the victim gets up and walks out of the Morgue, he calls Gwen Cooper for help. Only she is in America and he has to stop this global catastrophe on his own. Thought it was nice to see Andy step up this time.

Reading (well listening to) these books you don't expect much, its just not as easy to lose yourself in an audiobook. At least that's been my experience. For me, the sign of a great audiobook is laughing out loud or making comments that you're glad no one else is within hearing range because they'd think your nuts. This one was like that for me. I always liked Andy in the show because despite rarely being in it he managed to have some character development. In Fallout, Andy gets a chance to flex ...more

Not the best Torchwood adventure, the best are the radio plays with all the sound effects and the voices of the characters. This is just an audio book and relatively short, only an hour long. Only one of the Torchwood characters: Gwen Cooper, features, but then at this point in the chronology of Torchwood she is the only one left. She, however, is only indirectly involved via telephone from America. The major lead is minor character Sergeant Andy Davidson, the hapless Cardiff policeman who was ...more

Recommends it for: Fans of Tom Price or Andy of Torchwood
Tom Price (Andy from Torchwood) is the best thing about this audiobook. He really pulls it together. His narration is amazing. The way he read was great. He did a variety of accent, Welsh, Russian, and British and he excelled at them all. He really brought out the characters.

Mr. Llewellyn on the other hand, disappointed me. I didn't like this story. What I expect from a Torchwood story is mystery, twists and turns, suspense. But there was none of that in Fallout. The storyline was straightforwa

PC Andy gets phone advice from Gwen and then tackles some alien bad guys. Not a super complicated plot but it works as a very basic Torchwood running around, outside the law, alien genre. I did like Andy's characterization in this iteration - it felt very spot on and his hesitancy to chase things beyond his pay grade and understanding came across. The idea that he acts because there is no one else to turn to works in this story.

This is another fun audio novella, taking place a few weeks after Army of One. This story features Torchwood's frequent third wheel Andy Davidson, and is narrated by the actor who played him, Tom Price. I love how the Brits can pull in actors to do audiobooks like this…it'd never happen in the USA.

Anyway, Andy comes across a classic Torchwood alien/world-in-danger mystery back in Cardiff, and in the absence of anyone else, he steps up.

A fine tale, recommended to Torchwood fans.

Wish that I could make this rating 3 1/2 stars. I enjoy all the audios for Torchwood as well as Doctor Who. They're great listening. I liked that the main character in this story is Andy and that it is a side story of the Miracle Day TV mini-series storyline. I missed Captain Jack, though.

Did not expect to really enjoy an Andy only Torchwood episode, but I really enjoyed this one! Quite interesting story-line too.
Nice little outing for Officer Andy.
