Kale is a character like no other. Being imprisoned by Denazen his whole life, he never got to learn social behavior. Social skills and etiquette are completely lost on him. He doesn't understand slang or why people lie. He gets bewildered by elementary things. It's sad in a way because of what he went through, but it's strangely fascinating to see how human behavior is perceived to such alien eyes - and not to mention terribly amusing. You gotta admit, a lot of the things we say and do ARE biza More...

40-ish page short which takes place in between books 1 and 2. This chapter is in Kale's PoV. Normally, I like when we get to see a glimpse of the male PoV, but being inside of Kale's head doesn't do it for me. However, I am glad that I opted to read this story because it introduces a new character and places our sixes in a tricky situation by the end, which is where I'm assuming book 2 will pick up at.

Could you skip this one? I'm guessing you could, since most side stories are usually bonus PoV' More...

This was a short but very entertaining novella set between the events of the first book Touch and the second book Toxic.
After the events in Touch, Dez and Kale are chasing down other Sixes that were on a list that was given to them, and they want to get to them before the Denazen Corporation does and they come across a Six named Kiernan whom they have to convince to go with them which results in the day at a fun park a place that Kale has never been in his life and is excited to explore.

Ana and Celeste reviewed this on The Book Hookup

Ana: In Untouched, the adventure continues as the characters continue to try to escape the corporation’s evil and save other “Sixes” – people with special powers. Touch captured me right from the very beginning and ensured that I fell in love with these characters!

Untouched is told through the eyes of Kale - a Six that grew up under the unloving strong arm of the Denazen Corp. He's now out, thanks to Dez and trying to assimilate into the normal world whilst saving other Sixes along the way.

As he has never experienced life on the outside.....Kale gets seriously flummoxed whilst trying to navigate everyday life! Thank goodness he has Dez with him - the one person who is immune to his deadly touch...and the one calming person in a sea of crazy whom he loves More...

This series is so odd to me, because I love it, and I honestly have no idea why. It's not the best writing in the world, and it has somewhat of an overabundance of pretty corny lines/scenes... etc., but I still think its great.

This is a great little novella to keep you entertained while we wait for Tonic to come out. It's Kale's perspective, which is in a word: delicious. I'm a sucker for sweet, innocent dudes way more than I am for the sexy oober charming bad boy, so maybe that's why I'm sucke More...

MY REVIEW

I Love that Kale is once again on the cover of this book, you can certainly see what Deznee means about those beautiful blue staring eyes! Hmmm tasty!
Untouched is a short novella that follows after Touch (to keep us going a little until Toxic is released in September 2012). This time the story is from Kale's point of view, so it has some humour, as he is still relatively new to the experiences of the outside world away from Denazen Corporation.
Deznee and Kale are working with Ginger an More...

Untouched is a short novella that picks up the story just after the ending of Touch but this time told from Kale's perspective. Kale and Dez are travelling the country searching for other Sixes to warn them about Denazen but it looks like an enemy from Kale's past has caught up with them and he isn't going to be easy to escape.

I have to admit that while I liked Touch it didn't wow me as much as I expected it to but I'm glad to say I liked Untouched more and am now really looking forward to readi More...

I fell in love with Kale in TOUCH but reading a book from his point of view? Yeah, I fell harder. He’s so innocent it’s adorable but it turns out, he’s not as innocent as you think. He’s just not used to the outside world. He can’t see the things we see because his entire existence was basically locked away from the world. He doesn’t see what is fun about a Ferris Wheel. He doesn’t see what’s appealing about an amusement park especially a clown. He has a dark side and we see it. His guilt seems More...

What can I say, I'm a sucker for Kale!

As other reviewers pointed out, this is a short Novella. This happens between book 1 & 2 and comes from Kale's POV (point of view). Kale has always intrigued me and having a Novella written from his point of view was fantastic. It's cute to see how innocent he really is to all things that normal people are accustomed to. In this Novella Kale and Dez are in search of Sixes to warn them of Denazen and help them to sanctuary. They find a girl named Kiernan More...

I enjoyed "Untouched", I did. But I wanted more. I know, I know, this is only a novella to hold the readers over until "Toxic" is released, but I needed more.

Let's discuss the great things about "Untouched", shall we?
Kiernan, a character that I hope will play a larger part in "Toxic", is introduced in "Untouched". She is a lot like Dez, so she's easy to like. In fact, I may actually like her better than Dez. She's witty, her pow More...

Well when I was offered Untouched by the publisher I was so excited, and after reading Untouched I was not disappointed. I liked how this book is from Kale's point of view, so it felt like we got to get to know him a little bit better. We also got to meet a new character which I hope I get to see more of in the future. I will say that this is a Novella that is meant to help us readers have a little Kale time in between books. I for one can not wait until Toxic is released in September.

This is a nice little novella between Touched and Toxic. It is written in Kale's point of view, which was a really awesome bonus. I've always wondered when I was reading Touched about Kale's thoughts, and getting to read in his perspective really helped to understand him better.

This book happened while Dez and Kale was looking for the second to last Six on Brandt's list to warn them against Denazen and to get them to safety. There were a lot of action and everything happened really fast.

This novella kind of left me feeling th same way I did at the end of the first book. It was okay, it was an enjoyable read. I must admit that this is one series where I actually prefer reading from Dez's point of view. I love Kale's innocence but I found myself missing the snark and sarcasm that I get everytime I read from Dez's point of view. Other than that I did enjoy this novella. It's not my favorite novella that I've ever read bur I still really enjoyed it. My opinion is probably slightly More...

A novella from Kale's perspective. Kale and Dez track down a Six to invite her to join them and to warn her about the evil corporation - Denazen. Kale, Dez and the Six decide to go to the local theme park to get to know each other better but it's not long before the Denazen agents turn up to cause havoc and ruin Kale's fun.

I reviewed the first book in this series, Touch, April 30th and loved it. When I seen this novella, which is an opener to the second book, I had to read it.

When I opened Untouched on my Kindle, I was surprised to find it is written from Kale's POV. This was a major plus for me!

Untouched by Jus Accardo is a novella that takes place between the first and second book of the series. If you haven't read Touch, I recommend that you do so before you read this book. There are some definite spoilers if you haven't read the first book. I haven't read the first book yet so this is my first introduction to Dez and Kale. Accardo did an excellent job with filling in the blanks so I didn't feel lost while reading.

very good little short for in between stories. I loved hearing the story through Kale's eyes. He takes such wonderful care of Dez and he loves her so much. I loved getting to see more into his character and his life trapped in the care of the Denazen Corp. I cant wait to read more in the story.

James Patterson meet Pittacus Lore - The Lorien Legacies, meet Sophie Davis meet J.L Bryan

The best of these is captured in this story by Jus Accordo in Untouched.

The reader meets 98 aka Kale, the love of his life and his Kryptonite to wit Samsen.

All of this happens at a state fair. A place Kale is wholly unprepared for with his limited understanding of the world around him. What he does know is that his touch could kill, that he has to protect Dez and escape will mean freedom. What he does not More...

Untouched is a novella set place between books one and two in the Denazen series. While this book is not essential to the series, I highly recommend reading it in order anyway. This story really does bring another level of contemplation to Toxic (book two).
This novella takes place over the end of the summer while Kale and Dez have been warning Sixes from the List Brandt left them. Kiernan is the last on the list and she seems unwilling to trust them. They go to an amusement park whose mascot is More...

Extreme disappointment.
The switch to Kale's POV sounded really promising, but it was horrible! I didn't even think it was by the same author. The quality of the writing was way below par of Touch (which was no masterpiece to begin with). Kale comes off as a well developed character in Touch because he is socially ignorant, a little naive, and honest, but also blunt and a lethal killing machine . But here, Accardo manages blow all of that out of the water and paint him as a dull slow character, More...

I really liked touch and immediatelt started this short story afterwards. This was a short story, but it was interesting and definitely adds something to the story. This short story is told from Kale's perspective and I loved seeing things from his perspective. He is so naive and knows so less about the world that surrounds him and the author did a wonderful job of writing his perspective and make it believeable.

This was a short story with punch. Oh my god I thought I was in love with the yuminess called Kale before but after this book I am in more in love. Kale is just plain and simple hot and this book showcased it even more. I loved that we got more of Kale's point of view this time around and it was so worth it. Untouched (Denazen # 1.5) by Jus Accardo

Untouched is a short novella, all told from Kale’s point of view, the interesting thing about the story being told by Kale is that he sees things very different from everyone else due to he was locked up and isolated for a very long time. Since he has never experiences everyday things we get to see firsthand his confusion and lack of humor. I have to say it was great reading this story from Kale’s point of view.

Kale and Dez are travelling around the country, trying to contact other sixes and take them back to safety. After they visit the next six, they are heading to an amusement park so that Dez can get some "Kale time" as she calls it. She doesn't really trust them and tags along to the amusement park. Where they are attacked by one of Denazen's best, Samsen. A nightmare from Kale's past. He can control Kale just by using his voice.
